U.S. pilots face tight restraints in Libyan war
Short version...What in the holy hell are we doing there?
Who's bright idea was it to get involved in some other country's civil war without taking sides? Europe? Or was it Hillary? This administration went from embarassing to lethally incompetent. Unfortunately, lethal to our men and women.

PITTSBURGH -- Some landlords of Allegheny County properties who owe thousands of dollars in back taxes and fees are still getting thousands in government housing subsidies.
The county Housing Authority said it checks to make sure that landlords getting government subsidies have paid their taxes, but Team 4 investigative reporter Paul Van Osdol found dozens of subsidized properties with tax liens against them, some totaling thousands of dollars.
Leland Point Apartments is a government-subsidized apartment complex in Baldwin Borough. Police Chief Michael Scott estimated that 60 to 80 percent of the borough's crime is reported there.
Baldwin has filed liens against Leland Point Holdings for $932,000 in unpaid sewage bills. Court records show Leland Point still gets about $60,000 per month in government housing subsidies through the Section 8 program.
. . .
Team 4 found dozens of other subsidized properties that owe back taxes.
Tax liens totaling $26,000 have been filed against Richard and Kim Goldman on 13 subsidized properties that they own in Wilkinsburg and Swissvale.

Call me Shermanesque, but I believe that the blue social model of our liberal friends is already condemned to the ash-heap of history. Just as slavery was universal in, say, 1000 AD, yet became a scandal and a monstrous injustice by 1850, the Big Unit economic system of 1950 will come to be regarded as a scandal and a monstrous injustice by 2050. And that goes for the egregious economic and social privileges of unionized and cartelized government workers too.
Tough time ahead.

BREAKING FAKE NEWS -- The government of Scotland has approved a rescue mission to save Abdelbaset Al Mohmed al-Megrahi, murderer of 11 Scots and 259 others in the 1988 Pan Am jet bombing at Lockerbie, Scotland.
Megrahi, convicted in 2001, was freed in August 2009 by the Scottish government, which explained that his release was an act of mercy for a man with less than three months to live. The government has now decided that, with the bombing of Libya, Megrahi again has less than three months to live and again must be shown mercy.
Asked if a risky operation to save Megrahi would again insult the memories of those he murdered, the Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill said the only thing that separates Scotland from other countries is that it is willing to use its power to protect dictators and their hired killers. “The mission is on!”
MacAskill said it is hypocrisy that the real democracies oppose MegrahiÂ’s boss, Moammar Gaddafy, when they donÂ’t oppose the dictatorships of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Iran. The only way to be consistent, he said, is to allow all dictators to oppress and murder forever.
“If you can’t save everyone, you must not save anyone,” MacAskill said, rushing to catch a Westland Puma helicopter for Megrahi's rescue.

To conceal your folly, you propose a further misuse of your power my joining the Olympian club of Presidents who use executive orders as Zeus uses lightning bolts, striking anything from on high with which they find fault. You still would have to comply with the terms of the plan as even Obama knows....so 50 Obamacares. Great. The foundations of ObamaCare can be repealed with 50 votes in the Senate and the president's signature.
Romney begs for support. "Promise anything for a vote!" Romney & Obama campaigns. The joke is on Romney since it would be just like Obama to issue that executive order in time to steal Romney's thunderous wimper. Enough second guessing the F-15 stuff Ace's. As they say, shit happens and there are rare mechanical failures not always evident or preventable in a ground check. Odds increase when putting the aircraft through stressful combat ops.
Depending on the failure the pilot can make some in-flight assessments as to the cause. That cause sometimes rules out AAA, or external causes related to hostile fire.
That said, I am certain some 2a3x3 is currently getting an anal inspection.
And yes, if necessary you can bail out at 40,000 feet.

Why does the MFM hate the Serbs? The whole Bosnia/Kosovo adventure was the only time I've seen those cocksucking turds openly shilling for a war by continually overstating the atrocities done by one side and ignoring the other. What made it more surprising was that the Rooskies seem to support the Serbs as their Slavic brethren. Is it because in the MFM hierarchy teh mooooooooslims are at the highest echelon even above the commies? Or do the Serbs lose points by being Orthodox Catholics?

Warning - it will make you want to throw your Obama Kool-aid pitcher against the wall:
Obama gave a speech in El Salvador:
Obama said Americans "should be proud" of an effort that averted a major humanitarian crisis.
defended the United States' involvement in military strikes on Libya, maintaining that the commitment is "limited in time, scope, with a well-defined mission."
"We have already saved lives," "In Benghazi, a city of 700,000 people, you had the prospect of [Moammar] Kadafi's forces carrying out his orders to show no mercy. That could have resulted in catastrophe in that town. Kadafi's forces have pulled back because of this timely intervention."
Asked if he had sufficiently communicated to the American people the cost of the operation, the president said his administration would continue to provide details to the public.
"Events happen around the world in which the United States, with our unique capabilities, has to respond as a leader in the world community," he said. "We're confident that not only can our goals be achieved, but that at the end of the day the American people are going to feel satisfied that lives were saved and people were helped."

How many mass graves did we find in Kosovo? I forget.
Nine or ten. And they weren't the "mass graves" Jamie Shea was showing us aerial photographs of -- hundreds of individual graves dug in a grid pattern -- they were trenches dug with heavy equipment and filled with bodies. The largest one held about one thousand bodies. Less than 10,000 bodies were recovered, whereas Jamie Shea assured us that "tens of thousands" or "up to 100,000" people were buried in them.
I'll never forget those aerial photographs. The people who took them would have geographic coordinates for them, making finding them a simple matter after the end of hostilities. Yet none were ever found. The burial pits that were found were located using information from locals. It took over three years to find them.
I'm 100% sure that the aerial photographs shown at press briefings were fakes. There were so many lies told about that war. But since the MFM were all rah-rah in favor of the war, when the lies became apparent they simply chose not to report on them. In fact, at the time it was called by some "the first journalists' war" because they were the driving force behind it.
So it's no wonder it was all driven by a pack of lies.

Old grizzled gym coach ...is it true that the failure happened @ 40k feet? Can you even eject from that altitude? Hell you've only got about 9 secs of useful consciousness at that altitude. Unless they're equipped with some kind of 02 tank. But then the temps alone up there (-55c degrees or so) would kill ya pretty quick too.
Posted by: learflyer at March 23, 2011 08:04 AM (9vscO)
It doesn't matter if you pass out because there's a barometric trigger that automatically deploys the chute around 10,000 feet. That will give you plenty of time to regain consciousness before landing. You'll also be in warmer air by then. I'm sure it's unpleasant as hell but it's survivable.Posted by: Ed Anger at March 23, 2011 04:22 AM (7+pP9)

President Obama Cutting Short His South America Trip – by Two Hours
On Tuesday, the White House announced that Obama would cut short his trip by two hours – skipping a planned trip to the Mayan ruins so he can focus on Libya.
According to the Associated Press, White House aides “have taken pains to portray Obama as fully engaged in the deployment of missiles and warplanes in North Africa even as he devoted his public time to bridge-building with Latin American leaders.”

Did you know you can make your own suet? Next time you fry bacon or hamburger, start collecting your grease (or just use shortening). Then melt it, add peanut butter, flour, corn meal, raisins, oatmeal, bird seed - basically anything that you know birds like. You can also add chucnk of bacon fat (cooked) into it, too.
Don't forget the sugar. It helps bind the suet.
Then just put it in cups or a pie pan, etc, and place in freezer.
Then you can take out as much as you want, and save the rest for later.
Super easy and it is a great way to attracted cardinals, woodpeckers, blue jays, etc.

My first thought was likely "friendly fire" -- as if the Libyan Islamist revolutionaries qualify as "friendly" given their record numbers trained and joining forces against the US Military in our two "real" wars killing American personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If all of the Air Forces mechanics and technicians were doing their jobs, why the mechanical malfunction forcing the crash out of thin air? Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the F-15 simply quits working while in flight. Eh.
Contrast logical Americans to the Sheeple. Who still exercises blind faith believing instantly produced media reports released before scientific and intelligence data are comprised, particularly reports that eschew acknowledgment for all factors involved? Smorgasbord Sheeple follow the leader so long as they're fed what they prefer hearing that substantiates what they want to think and confirms their biased feelings, despite facts. At least Carter's air rescue fiasco mechanical malfunction of downed (Apache?) copters was due to a sand storm, testimony to the vulnerability of that craft's integral design. Another headline yesterday regarded the "DOOMED" F-15. That reference was used to drum up support for a new fleet of fighter jets as if the next generation would be immune to "doom" from mechanical malfunctions, or from integral design (including the multilateral international manufacturing cooperative) that does not meet or exceed the previous generation's performance let alone meet the political opponent's latest generation that does exceed the F-35 performance capacity.
Regardless of design, every jet, ship, sub and vehicle requires parts for upkeep, ESPECIALLY when involved in combat, not merely wear and tear from use and age. As things stand, our various military fleets comprise "expired" ships and jets. Whether new or old, the craft lack the necessary parts in stock to repair should this warring onslaught of interventionism persist, not to mention should the US be attacked. Where are the parts and the refueling planes necessary for our entire Air Force to function simultaneously? Contracts are made, but never completed before the next contract is made and never completed, etc. while each contract is most certainly paid in full and compounded in price funded by the tax payers. Meanwhile, personal fortunes amass amongst the Brass, Congress, and administrations. Meanwhile, the potus executes warfare without Congressional consultation, let alone involvement and vote of support. And the AG uses his American "social (in)justice" to officially dismiss the Constitution all together and thrust America into the globalist New World Order, ready or not, willing or not.
Don't just impeach the Potus. Impeach the Vice President as well for officiating treason against the Constitution. That would leave Boehner the Potus until '12.

Don't read unless you want to see your breakfast again:
Obama takes a page from both Ronald Reagan, who perfected the role of national leader high-minded enough to rise above his detractors, and Bill Clinton, who projected the air of a reasonable man ruefully trying to reason with a horde of hyper-partisans who preferred combat to compromise. The president knows that he enhances his image by comporting himself that way. But mostly, thatÂ’s just Obama leaning into who he is.

(Notice they fail to admit that, until the brewhaha, not many people, except union members even knew about the bill)
Email to Wis. gov. initially favored union rightsSeeking a way to counter a growing protest movement, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker cited his email, confidently declaring that most people writing his office had urged him to eliminate nearly all union rights for state workers.
But an Associated Press analysis of the emails shows that, for close to a week, messages in Walker's inbox were running roughly 2-to-1 against his plans. The tide did not turn in his favor until shortly after desperate Democrats fled the state to stop a vote they knew they would lose.
The AP analyzed more than 26,000 emails sent to Walker from the time he formally announced his plans until he first mentioned the emails in public _ a span of seven days.
During that time, the overall tally ran 55 percent in support, 44 percent against. In the weeks since, Walker has continued to receive tens of thousands of emails on the issue.

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) -- President Barack Obama is leaving Central America earlier than scheduled, cutting short a tour dominated by the U.S.-led military action in Libya.
The president eliminated a visit to Mayan ruins from his itinerary Wednesday, permitting him to leave a few hours earlier. Aides have taken pains to portray Obama as fully engaged in the deployment of missiles and warplanes in North Africa even as he devoted his public time to bridge-building with Latin American leaders.
But he couldn't escape the juxtaposition of missions.
Yes, all that's important is the false image that Barry is fully engaged. But the poor baby just couldn't enjoy his spring break because that damn job just keeps getting in the way

Detroit has lost 25% of it's population in ten years. The population is the lowest since 1910. The Mayor wants a recount because if they get to 750,000 people they get more money from the State and Federal governments. [Ben]

Or, since this is Detroit...
Detroit's requested census recount could not be completed as planned due to overwhelming violence, according to Census Bureau personnel. Multiple police reports were filed during the two weeks that the recount progressed, all of which involved census takers being mugged, robbed, shot, knifed, or beaten to death with baseball bats as they conducted the survey. "Once the death toll reached fifty, the Bureau called for an end to the recount efforts," a top Bureau official informed the press.

California May Snuff Out Fireworks
The water board tentatively ruled in September 2010 that over-water fireworks qualify as “point sources” of pollution. As such, fireworks organizers must obtain permits prior to each event. Event producers such as civic organizations typically operate on shoestring budgets — often funded by the coffee-can-on-the-counter donation method. But the newly established $1,452 pollution-discharge permit fees are dwarfed by costs associated with water sampling, scientific analyses, and technical reporting required after each show. Per-event estimates range from $30,000 to $100,000, according to San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders. “For a large number of Americans, few things are more sacrosanct than the right to watch July 4th fireworks,” Sanders wrote in a letter to the water board. “The proposed regulatory requirements would result in exorbitant and prohibitive expenses that these organizations simply will be unable to bear.”

Instead of going on TV and speaking to the American people, Obama fucking gives an interview to CNN
Obama said in an interview on Tuesday. But the US president said he hoped military action would create enough space for rebels to "create a legitimate government".
Speaking to CNN during his trip to South America, Obama said he hoped the military intervention would help the Libyan opposition start organising for change. He said it might not be "military might" but a belief among the Libyan people that it is time for a change that ends with "ultimately sweeping Gaddafi out of power".

Just think:
paper
electricity
gas-what they use, what citizens use to get there to fill out paperwork/use to drive around getting what is required before turning in paperwork
water used at buildings
etc, etc, etc
