Went back and found the 3.6.16 version and installed it, and printer is now working. In the process I discovered that the new Firefox also makes some people unable to access YouTube or Windows Media, as well as some other programs.
BEWARE!

Vic, you can google and find the older version and reinstall it, if you are having too much trouble. That printer thing really infuritated me, and I do NOT need that this early in the morning. I like to save my rage for Obama's latest America-damaging effort.

Heh! Less people watching Obama speeches. From EW:
Monday nightÂ’s policy address on Libya delivered 25.6 million viewers, continuing the presidentÂ’s trend of declining ratings for his issue-oriented telecasts.
The speech was down 12% from ObamaÂ’s address on Iraq last August (29.2 million), which fell 9% from his speech on the Gulf Coast oil spill in June (32.1 million), which in turn dropped 21% from his Afghanistan speech back in December of 2009 (40.8 million).
He's going to start ramping it up too as he announces his re-election campaign soon. I think people are starting to get tired of his sonorous, sybillant droning. Or maybe it's all the lying. Or maybe its the overexposure, the haughty chin lift, the pathologic addiction to the teleprompter...

Boy, this is just frackin great. Barry is giving a "major" speech today. Golf courses must be closed. Energy of all things. Kiss another third of the value of the dollar goodbye. Something else we'll have to do right now or he'll be forced to invade another middle eastern country and kill a bunch of people, no doubt. Oh, and I see where Ghadafi is kicking Barry's ass, notwithstanding the $2B per day. Bush's fault... obviously.

Sen. Graham: Secure the Border First, Then ‘I’m More Than Willing To Give A Legal Status’ to Illegal Aliens
....
WaPo:
President Obama to call for one-third cut to oil importsbehind a program that draws about half of that import cut from energy savings and about half from greater energy production, according to Obama aides who briefed reporters Tuesday.
Many facets of his program will be familiar. The president will propose wider use of natural gas, including incentives to use it to fuel fleet vehicles such as city buses. He will back greater production of biofuels and will vow to establish at least four commercial-scale refineries producing cellulosic ethanol or advanced biofuels within the next two years. He also will pledge to establish higher fuel-efficiency standards for heavy trucks, just as he did for passenger vehicles early in his administration.
Obama will also urge oil companies to make greater use of the federal leases both onshore and offshore to prop up domestic oil output. The oil industry and GOP lawmakers have been loudly complaining about delays in the permitting of offshore drilling in recent months. But an irked administration, which had pledged tougher scrutiny of drilling applications after last yearÂ’s massiveGilf spill, fired back Tuesday with Interior Dept. report that revived earlier debates about whether oil companies were exploiting the leases they already have.

"To put it simply, there is a considerable gap between the words Obama uses and the things we see him do. And since to date, morality has not been much of a guiding factor in his presidency, I am somewhat squeamish about jumping aboard his morality train at this point.
I remain steadfastly behind our troops. And wish them patience as they wait for Obama to come up with a strategy. I also pray for their safety and success in that mission, whenever it is defined and whatever it may be."
Words. Just words.

Obama’s Actions on U.S. Energy Production ‘Diametrically’ Opposed to His Rhetoric, Says Natural Resources Chairman
“Let’s put it this way,” Hastings said. “What I have observed during my time as chairman of the committee, is that actions speak louder than words, and that the president said on a number of occasions that he wants to expand American energy production.”
“But his actions are diametrically and 180 degrees opposite that,” said Hastings. “And I mentioned the reinstatement of the moratorium, for example, and the de facto moratorium on the Gulf of Mexico. Those are actions that suggest to me very clearly that this president is not in favor of expanding American energy production and creating American jobs.”

I think that it is precisely because we organized an international coalition, we donÂ’t have to shoulder this entire burden. I mean, the fact of the matter is itÂ’s not going to be U.S. planes that are maintaining the no-fly zone. It is a NATO operation . . . what I didnÂ’t want was a situation in which everybody else was a free rider on our U.S. military. I wanted to make sure you guys say this is important to you, make sure that you are actually putting some skin in the game.
On prayer:
I do a lot of praying. Absolutely. Every night, right before I go to bed. You know, and I am praying that – I’m making the best possible decisions, and that I’ve got the strength to serve the American people well. And frankly as President of the United States, you know, your responsibilities extend beyond beyond our borders. And these decisions are difficult.
On his NCAA bracket:
“obviously, I hadn’t been spending that much time studying it since I don’t have anybody in the Final Four.”

When he re-used Michelle's "For the first time in my adult life I'm proud to be an American" juxtaposed as a Libyan revolutionary al-Qaida fighter's quote that somehow reached Obama's jackass earshot: Killing Qadhafi (and all in the current Libyan government) would make him proud for the first time in his adult life to be a Libyan.
Obama's "morality" is sadism.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama will set an ambitious goal on Wednesday to cut oil imports by a third over 10 years, focusing on energy security amid high gasoline prices that could stall the U.S. economic recovery.
Obama will outline his strategy in a speech after spending days explaining U.S.-led military action in Libya, where fighting, accompanied by popular unrest elsewhere in the Arab world, has helped push gasoline prices toward $4 a gallon.
I'm sure he'll fly around the country to talk about how we (the peasants) need to cut back on our fuel use

momma,
He's used that line repeatedly, "I pray every night, right before I go to bed."
Eerie effect, given that Obama worships himself.

TRIPOLI (Reuters) – Libyan rebels pulled out of the oil town of Ras Lanuf on Wednesday under heavy bombardment from Muammar Gaddafi's forces, showing up their weakness without Western air strikes to tip the scales in their favor.
The rapid reverse comes just two days after the rebels raced westwards along the all-important coastal road in hot pursuit of the government army that had its tanks and artillery demolished in five days of aerial bombardment in the town of Ajdabiyah.

The bill would ban abortions once a fetal heartbeat can be detected, often as early as six weeks.
