Climate modelers have long known that households are far bigger contributors to global warming than most laypeople realize. For all the blame tailpipe emissions take for escalating temperatures, homes and office buildings are actually the single largest contributor to greenhouse gasses
According to the Department of Energy, the standard fridge sucks up about 8% of the electricity used by all homes-a pretty big share given the dozens of big and small appliances and electronics that are also drawing juice
That is an outright crock of SHIT. This is another "light bulb" fiasco in the making and they are doing it without congressional action.
Households are a drop in the bucket compared to businesses and factories and electric lights and refers are a drop in the bucket for that drop in the bucket.

501c3 groups like The Sierra Club and others should have to disclose the sources of their funding, just like political parties. There is no reason to keep donations secret, except for the desire of certain groups to hide funding from questionable sources.
Time magazine uses groups like that to provide the talking points for their scary stories on global warming, etc. meanwhile, the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest are covered in snow, and it is April 20.

Exactly. Not only is it horrifying to think that the green bastards are going to be allowed to wreck the economy and put us back in the dark ages - it's also horrifying to think what would happen if they got their way and cooled the earth. That would be a disaster. The earth is too damn cold as it is. If I thought "green house" gasses had any appreciable impact on the matter I'd be pushing for more such gasses, not less.

President Barack Obama on Tuesday misstated the reason for the 2007 collapse of a Minnesota bridge carrying an interstate freeway over the Mississippi River, inaccurately blaming it on insufficient federal spending on transportation.
In fact, the National Transportation Safety Board concluded that the "probable cause" of the bridge collapse was "a design error."
"According to the Republican budget that was passed, for example, we would have to eliminate transportation funding by a third," Obama told a townhall meeting in Annandale, Va., on Tuesday.
"WeÂ’d have to cut transporting funding by a third," said Obama. "You remember when that bridge in Minnesota collapsed with all those people on it? And there was a big hue and cry: How can this happen in America? Well, the National Society of Engineers, theyÂ’ve looked around and they give us a 'D' when it comes to infrastructure. Our roads, our bridges, our sewer systems are all deteriorating.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank, an independent agency of the federal government, is now planning a $2.84-billion loan for a massive project to expand and upgrade an oil refinery--in Cartagena, Colombia.
The money would go to Reficar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ecopetrol, the Colombian national oil company.

The first amendment. I sometimes think to myself that the founding fathers had a reason for putting this stuff first. And IÂ’ve wondered at the contortions that politicians and judges and scholars for that matter, have put themselves through to interpret those pretty simple words. Breitbart fortunately, solved the riddle for me. They use the muslim model of interpretation. It makes all of that bending, and twisting and stretching just that much easier.

So this morning I am trying to make espresso when I drop the milk carton and as I go to pick that up I knock my carafe onto the floor and it busts. My hubby, having just come home from work, runs to my aid and picks up all the big pieces. He then sweeps up the medium pieces.
I'm praising and thanking him for helping me, when he starts sweeping those tiny fucking pieces under the dishwasher.
I asked him what the hell he was doing, and he replied:
'Well, no one ever goes under there.'
I laughed so hard I damn near pissed me pants
So, anyone know of a good coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine that uses both the pods and regular, store bought espresso grounds? (I drink espresso with lots of milk because I don't have time to sit and enjoy my caffeine.
I don't want to be forced to use the pods every time. Do they even make one like that?

The New Black Panther Party – an organization known largely for their intimidation of voters outside a Philadelphia precinct- has announced plans for a “National Day of Action and Unity,” – ironically urging followers (on their day of unity) to boycott all “non-black business” on April 23.
The New Black Panthers plan to protest non-black establishments and entities via “rallies, marches, demonstrations, programs, and confrontations” in over 60 cities.
“Because blacks worldwide are dissatisfied at their current condition,” the Panther’s announcement explains.
They plan on protesting non blacks on Holy Saturday, “with or without a permit.”
A serious showdown looming for Saturday April 23rd as corrupt politicians try to deny day of action marchers tight to rally and march in front Adam Clayton Powell Harlem state office buildings

All the president's funny money
Last week, the laggard watchdogs at the Federal Election Commission announced an audit of the Obama 2008 campaign committee -- which raised a record-setting $750 million. White House flacks are downplaying the probe as a "routine review."
But there's nothing routine about the nearly $3 million Obama has spent on legal expenses to address federal campaign finance irregularities and inquiries. Roll Call reports that Obama's campaign legal fees have exceeded all other House and presidential campaign committees, including members of Congress under ethics investigations.
There's nothing routine about the whopping $6 million that Team Obama has refunded to individual donors since Obama took office.
And there's nothing routine about the 26 warning letters to Obama for America totaling "more than 1,500 pages of questions and data that outlined compliance concerns -- including the longest one ever sent to a presidential candidate," according to Roll Call.

Our Founding Fathers based their faith in Divine Providence and their sacrifices were in turn blessed with the Liberty sought in diligence.
The diligent maintenance of Balanced Divided and Limited Power is the matter.
America has prospered/suffered for a century since Wilsonian efficient elitists (children during the War Between the States to destroy States' Rights) simultaneously denounced the Constitution, federally mandated Eugenics programs, and established global elitist authoritarian rule. The vain elitists destroy the vain speculative middle class that had upheld tradition, but has since traded in tradition for the new EXPECTATIONS model. So long as they are promised the plunder of piracy, being "special" instead of "equal", getting theirs at the taxpayers' expense, then Elitists and the pie-in-the-sky Middle Class each refuse to maintain the original and inspired Constitution that divides and limits the governing balance of power with equality for all under that LAW.

One other thing they talked about that made me want to scream was the "reduction in rates" for a tradeoff in elimination of deductions like the home mortgage interest thing. They talked about it like Obama was disingenuous in skipping it from his own commission report.
I can remember that bait and switch very damn well. Reagan did a tax code rewrite that killed all but two rates at the same time it eliminated a bunch of deductions. Along came Bush-I and then Clinton and they put the higher rates back in w/o the deductions. So in effect we wound up with a huge tax hike that they tried to disguise by saying they had not returned it to the higher rates of before.
I sy NO MORE TAX CODE changes until they eliminate the entire structure and replace it with a flat tax combines with an amendment that only allows them to spend 90% of the previous year's collection until the debt is paid off.

Ridiculing Obama's deal-making skills, Trump only referenced Obama's deal with Rezco. Though definitely a corrupt deal, as far as deal-making went, Obama laughed all the way to the bank. Had he been at best form, Trump would have referenced Obama's GM deal scamming US taxpayers.
So the countdown begins. Who attacks Obama on GM. No doubt, the MSM sells the whole cloth that Obama had nothing to do with corruption. Who buys the mantra that taxpayers really are that stupid? As if by selling at OUR LOSS, Obama magically distances himself from his own corruption?

Scranton Police Union Objects To Non-Union Police Chief Making Arrests

Professor Jacobson quotes the Scranton Times Tribune's story on the incident. This is just so... UNION.
The complaint states that "the work of apprehending and arresting individuals has been the sole and exclusive province of members of the bargaining unit," and that the city did not inform or negotiate with the union that the chief would be "performing bargaining unit work."
The chief was on his day off, saw a crime happening (some guy with marijuana), and made the arrest. Apparently this is unacceptable to Scranton's unionized LEOS.

We had this big Hobart window fan in our bedroom when I was a kid. It was set as an exhaust fan and it drew air from the whole house. My older brother an I would shut the bedroom door almost closed and shove the bed up against the other window and sleep with our heads in the window with a breeze coming in. It didn't turn cool until the wee hours of the morning but it was better than nothing.
That lasted for a while until the rest of the house caught on to what we were doing.
In this day of A/C younguns don't know what they are missing. Of course, if Obama gets his way we will be back to that.

Oh, it's being done next month. Actually, the doc was hesitant at first because of my age. He worried that I would need another one 20 years down the road because that's the lifespan of them. I told him, I'll worry about 20 years down the road, 20 years down the road...I can't live with this now. But once he saw the x-rays. there was no other option. It's bone on bone.

Another Muslim woman who will no doubt be in mortal danger very soon.
'I wanted to be free': Muslim model upsets family by posing nude for Playboy cover (link to Daily Mail UK)

Sila Sahin is Turkish, and apparently a big model/actress in Germany, where she appears in a popular soap opera. I find it both sad and telling that her mother has broken off all contact with her, but she's been able to maintain some contact with her father. Just goes to show you that Muslim women can be (and often are) just as close-minded as the men.

When 5:00PM finally arrived and Ezra Levant greeted his viewers, I was delighted. Americans who remember the days before Fox News and the internet can probably identify with that feeling.

. Turning over to let the sweat where I lay cool a bit while I warm up the previously deposited sweat on the other side of the bed.
And flipping the pillow. Don't forget that.
We have cicadas' here in Kansas, but they don't show up until mid-June or so.

Given that Mr. Shireman started at DOE under Clinton (i.e. most likely a Democrat) and the fact that CREW usually goes after Republicans, I have to ask what CREW doesn't want the IG investigating while they have them look at this "petty crime."

The mission of Radii straight jacket(ray-dee-eye) footwear is to create unique designs that reflect each individualÂ’s personality, and the Radii 420 Top definitely achieves that. This interesting high top design contains three straps around the forefoot, a large strap around the ankle and perforated accents on the toe box, tongue, and heel. Radii shose are available in an array of striking colorways and will demand attention as soon as you put them on.
