8 Pittsburgh workaround: Prostitutes cash in with gift cards to avoid prosecution, police say The world's oldest profession still is cash-friendly, but police departments along the Airport Corridor notice a new trend in paying prostitutes: gift cards. "Instead of having a bunch of cash around, they have a handful of gift cards," Moon police Chief Leo McCarthy said. "You automatically believe cash is an ill-gotten gain. But if you see a couple of gift cards, you might not think twice. It's just another game people play."

10 Seven Mexican young adults associated with Juan Francisco Sicilia (24) were slain by the Gulf drug cartel organization on March 28 near Cuernavaca.

Juan Francisco was the son of Javier Sicilia, poet and columnist for the daily La Jornada and the weekly Proceso, two of the country's leading publications. In an interview with the daily La Reforma, Javier Sicilia said it was time for the government to negotiate with the country's leading drug cartels. Mexico has to live with the drug traffickers, he said. If the government "is not conducting the war successfully, then let's go for negotiations. Wars end in agreements, after all... and this is going to end in a pact, sooner or later," Sicilia said. Why, he asked, does Mexico have to "protect the back" of the United States, a country "that is not helping us at all."

Exactly how is Mexico "protecting" America's back?

Sicilia needs to see with his poet's eyes what "not helping us at all" really looks like.

13 South Dos Palos, Ca. is the closest thing I've seen to Mexico. True poverty, not the pretend poverty you hear the dems speak of. Add in the manufactured drought in the Central Valley and I'm not surprised the welfare rate isn't higher.

About the Donald Trump candidacy. If he isn't a trojan horse, I don't know who is. Liberal Dem from NYC suddenly finds "birfer" religion and decides to throw his hat into the GOP ring. And after he's played hell with the GOP primaries, losing of course, then he runs as an Indie, assuring 4 more years of socialism.

where am I wrong?

Posted by: Snort! at April 06, 2011 04:35 AM (K/USr)

15 Snort! Not so sure that Trump is a stalking horse.  I don't think he would want to run and lose.  I am watching to see what he says and does.

Right now,  he's one of the few who will talk about Obama with plain,  blunt criticism, which I appreciate.  Trumps son is on right now sounding just like his father as far as criticism of Obama.

Trump will be driving the Pace Car at the Indianapolis 500 this year.

16 SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/ BCN) — A man who set up a table with political literature and a sign opposing President Barack Obama was attacked in San Francisco’s North Panhandle neighborhood, police and witnesses said Tuesday.
Initial police accounts had indicated that the man had a sign supporting Obama, but witnesses later said it was an anti-Obama sign with a Hitler mustache drawn over the presidentÂ’s face.
...
The SFPD captain said he did not know whether the victim was a supporter or opponent of Obama, but a witness who was in the area Monday said the victim was a supporter of Lyndon LaRouche, a left-wing political activist who opposes the president.

I would be remiss here if I didn't take exception to the label "left-wing political activist" in regard to Lyndon LaRouche. This man is all over the map politically, so I have always referred to him purely as a "radical politician." No additional labels are required or are accurate.

17 Lyndon LaRouche from what I have been able to tell is a radical libertarian. Think Ron Paul on steroids.

On Election Day she received a call from a poll watcher unable to find his polling place. After he mentioned a precinct she was unaware of, she realized the gentleman was in New Jersey; he had been trained online by King Street Patriots and wanted to do his part in his state.

Hoping to grab some high-tech luster and begin filling the campaign war chest he'll need in 2012, President Barack Obama will visit Facebook this month for an online town hall event with CEO Mark Zuckerberg before going to San Francisco for a series of pricey fundraisers, including a $35,800-a-plate dinner hosted by Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff.
