SC GOP once again trying to get primaries closed
DonÂ’t hold your breath on this folks. The federal court system doesnÂ’t like the GOP.

How stupid does this Democrat PR rag think we are?
The headline:
Clyburn’s mission: Tame the deficitThe idea that their darling “the most power black congressman” is trying to reduce the budget deficit is ludicrous. Since 2007 when the Dems took over congress he has been at the forefront in increasing spending on socialist causes. But we are supposed to believe the tiger has changed his stripes now? I guess the rag is getting desperate, he is the only Democrat representative left in SC now.

VDH on Obama campaign strategy
LOL same old shit
We are beginning to see the contours of the upcoming 2012 reelection campaign of Barack Obama. Whether always officially sanctioned or not, ObamaÂ’s campaign will focus on three general themes: a) the 2008 meltdown of the economy on BushÂ’s watch; b) conservative heartlessness in gutting cherished entitlement programs; and c) racial bias behind any criticism of Barack Obama.
Run against Bush once again, push grandma off the cliff, and Republicans are racists. IOW, anything but his record.

You know they can't be that tone deaf or isolated to know that this guys golfing is getting tiresome to everyone out here. I'm beginning to think Obama enjoys flipping everyone off, just a big "fuck you" to the people he's supposed to represent.

Look, morons, it's obvious.
Weiner can't file a police report.
Once an investigation is completed and it's discovered that he wasn't hacked, when he would be charged with filing a false report.

No but if another state does something they don't like they have no problem sending bus loads of goons to that state. It's time Illionis (and by that I mean Chicago) gets taken down a peg or two. I kinda feel sorry for the rest of the people who live there.

This month, in the Middle East, has seen the unmaking of the President of the United States. More than that, it has witnessed the lowest prestige of America in the region since Roosevelt met King Abdul Aziz on the USS Quincy in the Great Bitter Lake in 1945. ... But as this nonsense continues, so the tectonic plates shudder. I doubt very much if the Palestinians will remain silent. If there's an "intifada" in Syria, why not a Third Intifada in "Palestine"? Not a struggle of suicide bombers but of mass, million-strong protests. If the Israelis have to shoot down a mere few hundred demonstrators who tried – and in some cases succeeded – in crossing the Israeli border almost two weeks ago, what will they do if confronted by thousands or a million. Obama says no Palestinian state must be declared at the UN. But why not? Who cares in the Middle East what Obama says? Not even, it seems, the Israelis. The Arab spring will soon become a hot summer and there will be an Arab autumn, too. By then, the Middle East may have changed forever. What America says will matter nothing.
Robert Fisk, The Independent (UK), May 30, 2011
Don't comment on the article's "cover" statements before reading the body of Fisk's column.
Our problem with politicians is that they rarely care to know "recent" history beyond their own political propaganda. Anything occurring prior to their selective memory is irrelevant and hence erased into revisionist non-existence. And of course, given human nature, that prejudicial power plays tit for tat all ways around, including, for example, those who conveniently deny any Jewish Holocaust, or any Armenian genocide, or today's decimation of Dafur's indigenous Christian population sponsored by China, etc. Ah, the massive self-centered American eye, convinced by political propaganda to export through benevolent warfare what's "good" for others.
That this Potus Gumby has been tarred and feathered abroad will never make news headway through our domestic media arm that systematically tells us to take great offense to any that dare question or negate The Won's "deserved" manipulative power to kill those distracting doubters of his words, just words.
During the MEMORIAL weekend, I watched documentaries and docudramas of each 20th Century war fought by America's Military. From the National Geographic account of Midway, one injured radio-operator veteran of Midway Battle's Yorktown recalled watching it sink from another ship's sickbay, and being sickened by the realization that the civilized world really isn't so civilized after all. Wars, including our current military engagements, are all fought over empirical aims, though "what" the empire is has certainly evolved since WWII into the global Corporate mutation of Eisenhower's referential grotesque Military Industrial Complex.
The "will" of Americans must not submit to authoritarianism at home, abroad, or at the UN in NYC.
Our national concern at this moment should settle our Liberty and economy at home. It isn't as if Americans can trust our politicians with domestic matters. It's insane to believe politicians regarding international matters, as if politicians are trustworthy, and as if sponsoring the global winds of war will not negatively impact our home. Why trust our perception of others abroad to be reliable when our perception of ourselves is so perverse? Yes, we need a strong national defense. But ever since Korea, our Military has been usurped by the UN organization that denies every nation sovereignty, denies the US its function as a Constitutional Republic, and which already "owns" America as a UN global subject. Given the loss of America's national sovereignty, go figure States Rights. Power mongers think we're beat. Ironically, without the submission of each individual, against adversity, the faithful seed of Liberty is ever strong.

From the earlier mentioned Telegraph article about Obama golfing on Memorial Day:
Contrast this with President ObamaÂ’s decision to play golf yesterday, Memorial Day, for the 70th time during his 28-month long presidency. For tens of millions of Americans, Memorial Day is a time for remembrance of the huge sacrifices made by servicemen and women on the battlefield. The president did pay his respects in the morning, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery, but later in the day traveled to Fort Belvoir to play golf. The story has not been reported so far in a single US newspaper, but was made public by veteran White House correspondent Keith Koffler on his blog. HereÂ’s KofflerÂ’s report:
The business of memorializing our war dead done, President Obama headed out to the Fort Belvoir golf course today, finding his way onto the links for the ninth weekend in a row.
Obama earlier today laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and met with families of those killed in battle. But he emerged from the dayÂ’s solemnity to go golfing for the 12th time this year and the 70th time of his presidency.
The decision to golf on Memorial Day invites comparison with President George W. Bush, who gave up the game early in his presidency and said he did it out of respect for the families of those killed in Iraq.
Does it matter if the president chooses to play golf on Memorial Day, and for the second time in his presidency (he did so as well in 2009? I think it does, and it displays extraordinarily bad judgment, not only by Obama himself but also by his advisers. His chief of staff for example should have firmly cautioned against it. President Obama is not just any American but Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces. The United States is currently engaged in a major war in Afghanistan with over 100,000 troops on the ground, and more than 1,500 have already laid down their lives for their country.
The least the president can do on Memorial Day is spend the whole day with veterans and servicemenÂ’s families while acknowledging their sacrifice.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has begun field testing new technology designed to identify people who intend to commit a terrorist act.
Nature reported that the DHS has been conducting tests of Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) in the past few months at an undisclosed location in the northeast.
The technology uses remote sensors to measure physiological properties, such as heart rate and eye movement, which can be used to infer a person's current mindset.
According to a Privacy Impact Assessment released by the DHS in 2008, the technology is intended to measure a person's malintent -- the intent to cause harm.

If you want the JEF reelected, and things returned to a D majority in house and senate as before Nov 2010, you want good economic news, but the MBM calls this want an "expectation."
It is getting comical how the expectations get inserted into every single piece of economic news that shows things staying flat or declining.

Weiner bill looks out for models
...House Democrats are still hoping to help two groups of workers — fashion models and computer geeks — who are usually linked only in implausible online fantasies.

May 31 (Bloomberg) -- Confidence among U.S. consumers unexpectedly declined in May to a six-month low as AmericansÂ’ outlook for business conditions and the labor market soured.
The Conference BoardÂ’s index dropped to 60.8 from a revised 66 reading in April, figures from the New York-based private research group showed today. The median forecast of economists surveyed by Bloomberg News called for a rise to 66.6. Other data today showed a drop in home prices and weakening manufacturing.
Americans became more pessimistic about their incomes, which are getting squeezed by higher grocery bills and gasoline thatÂ’s exceeded $3.50 a gallon since early March. The lack of faster job and wage growth means consumer spending, which accounts for about 70 percent of the economy, may remain restrained and keep the expansion from quickening.
How can this be? We're in a recovery!!!

From CNN:
According to the closely watched S&P Case Shiller home index, home prices recently fell to their lowest levels since the housing bubble burst. Prices tumbled 4.2% in the first quarter, sending home prices back to levels not seen since mid-2002.
The Chicago Purchasing Managers index fell more than expected to 56.6 in May, from 67.6 the previous month. Economists were expecting the figure to slip to 62.5.
The Conference Board's consumer sentiment index declined to 60.8 in May from 65.4. Economist were expecting consumer confidence to rise to 66.3.

So, the selective standards of the MSM drives the NRO "crazy", do they?
They drive me to something stronger - revulsion and contempt. I am way beyond the eye-rolling stage implied by "crazy".
These people are not annoying, misbehaving children: they are criminals who take the public's money on the pretense of informing them of the truth, and all the while they are working the political agenda of the Democrats.
I am tired of seeing them slander good people, cover for the crimes of bad people, and compromise the security and honor of my country, and yes, dammit - I want revenge!
I want to vote for a conservative who will show the American people how to eviscerate these slimeballs: legally, to be sure, but with extreme predjudice, even surer.

Palin States Position On Ethanol Subsidies (Politico) LINK
Excerpt:
Despite her taunting and an effort to keep the details of the tour away from the media — including sneaking off to the Gettysburg battlefield on Tuesday morning while reporters staked out the tour bus in the parking lot of the hotel where the Palins spent the night — Palin did weigh in on two questions shouted at her by reporters, starting with cutting ethanol subsidies.
“I think all of our energy subsidies need to be re-looked at and eliminated,” Palin said. “The bottom line, we can’t afford it.”

Excerpt:
But Palin differs, saying, "We've got to allow the free market to dictate what's most efficient and economical for our nation's economy. No, at this time, our country can't afford the subsidies. Before, though, we even start arguing about some of these domestic subsidies that need to be eliminated -- should be -- we need to look at ending subsidies and loans to foreign countries and their energy production that we're relying on, like Brazil.
