Hey Mitt, a gun grabbing shit who espouses all kinds of liberal crap when Gov is not going to get a lot of support in SC. Religion has just about zip to do with it.
We have Mormons all over SC. South Carolinians have always been very tolerant of different religions. We had the largest congregation of Jewish worshipers in North America during colonial days.
What we don't have is politicians who worship gun control and government healthcare.

Why does "Tina Fey Reprises Palin Role" warrant a front-page mention on the Chicago Tribune's website? If it hates on Palin, it runs.
I didn't begrudge Tina Fey until her tacky comments at the Mark Twain awards. What a low-class bitch.

Obama Campaign Denies Purchase of GutsyCall.com
The Democratic National Committee insists the website wasnÂ’t created by its team, or the Obama campaign apparatus. A DNC official told The Huffington Post that neither entity bought the URL in question, nor do they have a clue -- as of Friday morning, at least -- who did.
The creator of the website, indeed, appears to have cloaked the registration details, making him or her completely anonymous. The server in Scottsdale, Arizona (which says little about the website itself) and was purchased from GoDaddy.com.
The misinformation (if, in fact, this isnÂ’t a DNC site) may seem like small potatoes, far overshadowed by the news of bin LadenÂ’s death. But the DNC took the incident seriously enough to push back forcefully on Friday, not only denying any connection to the provenance of the URL but also purchasing a URL of its own -- ww.weeklyNOstandards.com -- to redirect to the Weekly StandardÂ’s homepage.
Oooh, burn. With that sort of biting wit, the DNC might have lent its assistance to the DSCC when it was picking a new slogan a few months back. For the record, I first saw this story tweeted by a National Journal editor, who flatly asserted that OFA was the "new owner" of the domain name. Perhaps the DNC should snap up NationaJournalisticmalpractice.com while it's still available.

Nice! On the one hand I'm excited about the idea of those bastards having to figure out how to eat sand. On the other hand, I'm a little bit nervous about what starvation over there could lead to. If the sons of Saud are suddenly in a bind for food, they can afford to pay quite a lot as things stand now. That would drive up costs for food here at home.

Sickening. And of course it's been going on for some time. A couple years ago there was a similar story about little girls who were kidnapped and beheaded while on their morning walk to Catholic school. Notice, as the article pointed out, that the muz are a small minority in that nation. It takes a very low population percentage for the muz to hit critical mass and begin their murder spree.
This is why I advocate, and will always advocate, reducing the muz content of the US to zero, by whatever means is most effective.

it's funny you say that. I nromally never drink and mow the lawn, but I only had beer in my fridge this weekend and didn't feel like drinking tap water.

also, i tuned into SNL this weekend to see how they would play the bin laden killing but i had to turn it off after 20 minutes.
The opening bin laden skit wasn't funny, I must not have stayed with it long enough to see the stupid Palin skit, The under the sea bin laden skit was terrible. As soon as i saw it I knew what was going to happen and it wasn't funny. The Michael Bolton music video was moderately funny, then again Andy Samberg is one of the only funny people on that show.
And finally I had to turn it off when they had to make a Republican debate that didn't happen. Did anyone else notice that? The people at their fake republican debate weren't even on the real debate. It had Romney, Gingrich and others.
How pathetic is that. We're over two years into the Obama administration and they still can't make fun of him. It's a shame because their Clinton skits used to be funny and sometimes mean (read:accurate). Maybe they just don't have someone who can play the Obama character seeing as they have an unwritten rule that they can only have one black cast member per season and he can only be in one skit per episode(see:every black cast member after Eddie Murphy).
It's a shame, I used to enjoy SNL. It's always had political skits, the Bush 1 skits, Reagan, Ford and Clinton skits, but now political skits make up 30%-40% of every show. It's all the material they have anymore. When was the last time SNL created a popular well known character that wasn't a political impersonation?

Nice to see that Egyptian reform movement still hasn't lost touch with its roots. Christian slaughtering, death-to-the-infidel roots, that is.
Islamists torch church in Cairo – 12 dead, hundreds injured (Commentator UK)
At least 12 people died and 230 were injured, some seriously, after Islamists burned down two churches in a Cairo suburb over the weekend in a bloody rampage against Coptic Christians.
It was the second assault on Egyptian Christians in less than a month.
Hundreds of Salafist radicals massed outside the Saint Mina Church on Saturday night firing guns, and throwing Molotov cocktails, bottles and rocks amid rumours swirling through the countryÂ’s Muslim community that a Coptic ChristianÂ’s wife had converted secretly to Islam and was being held in the church against her will.
The woman in question has appeared on television to deny the rumours but Salafists and their supporters refuse to believe her...
Such enlightened, intelligent folk. I'm surprised they weren't proclaiming that the church was run by genies and sorcerers.
Backwards, Stone Age savages.

Few years ago was talking to a customer of mine and he was talking about how he has a cooler on the back of his riding mower and drinks continuously as he mows his five acres. He uses a push mower for the smaller cut-in spaces.
I have nothing against having a beer while mowing, but this guy was the sort who would down a 12-pack in about two hours.
Sure enough, about two weeks after our conversation, I was told by one of his employees that he "tripped" while mowing and lost a hand under his push mower.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Crew members and passengers wrestled a 28-year-old man to the cabin floor after he began pounding on the cockpit as an American Airlines flight approached San Francisco, the third security incident in a day on U.S. planes, authorities said Monday.

If we serfs had our way, we'd probably waste teh money doing something like building a fence along teh Southern border, enforcing immigration laws, deporting illegal alien criminals, prosecuting criminal bankers for fraud, or really "investing" in domestic energy production.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Crew members and passengers wrestled a 28-year-old man to the cabin floor after he began pounding on the cockpit as an American Airlines flight approached San Francisco, the third security incident in a day on U.S. planes, authorities said Monday.

A male flight attendant tackled the suspect, who carried a Yemen passport, and other crew members aided as the suspect banged on the cockpit door.
Wow - two stereotypes tangling at 30k feet. And guess who wins? The MALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT. It really must suck to be a muslum.

Oh, FABULOUS. I love this particular part of that story:
He was identified as 28-year-old Rageit Almurisi. Though he carried a Yemen passport, it wasn't clear if his nationality was also Yemeni, Rodgriguez said.
With a Yemen passport, but not necessarily Yemeni. I guess they just hand them out like Cracker Jack prizes in Yemen.
I hope the male flight attendant who wrestled this bastard to the ground gets a huge bonus in his paycheck this week.

Well, one of the other incidents involved a note being found, so I guess they don't know who wrote it.
The other one is this, with no name in the article I found:
A 34-year-old passenger from Burbank, IL, created panic in the flight, immediately after 20 minutes of take off from Houston on Sunday, by walking towards the front of the cabin, saying he had to get off the plane.
He also made an attempt to open an emergency exit door but failed.

Amazon.com is planning to open a third large distribution center with hundreds of jobs in tax-friendly Indiana, finding refuge from other states that have attempted to force the online retail giant to collect sales tax. Seattle-based Amazon is announcing today that it plans to open a 900,000-square-foot Internet order fulfillment center in Indianapolis this summer but gave few other details.
Heh. wtg Amazon.

At Big Journalism:
Why have so many mothers become so active?
Because motherhood is political.
I have two sons. One day they may hear the call of duty and enlist to fight for our liberty. One day they may be called upon to defend AmericaÂ’s shores. They may decide to enter business or take up a trade. They may decide to have families of their own someday. I want them to have every opportunity available to them and I will stand against that which impedes on their rights. ItÂ’s instinctual: my job as a mother is to raise up, nurture, and protect my children, to protect their interests, to protect the interests of my family. In a society where my first line of defense, my husband, has been compromised by the self-victimization of the female sex, IÂ’ve volunteered to go to the front lines of this ideological battle and I do it for my children. IÂ’m not the only one.

SC politics and voting patterns are complex. ( I did alot of pre-internet research on this while in school.) You have a more liberal, diverse coastal population that turnout to vote with inset areas of deep racial homogenity that don't. Up country; you have a mix of tradition bound older (white and black) voters (D), military associated voters (R), and younger "Christian" voters (R) - with a few liberal clusters around the universities, and the african-american clusters.
