Obama withdrawal strategy not one presented by military.
Also, F&F this morning said that military requested 40K troops to attack a particular network in the surge. They didnÂ’t get 40K they got 30K so that network wasnÂ’t attacked. Guess who attacked the hotel yesterday. If you said the network that wasnÂ’t attacked you would be correct.
As I said way back when he sent the 30K after dragging his heals like a drunk at last call, pull them all out now. He is killing more Americans and allies troops for covering his political ass.

Another futile attempt to look good with smoke and mirrors
Hahahahaha. Cut Congressional salary, gee look how good we are. Were are your friend, reelect us some more. I hope all the folks are on to this exercise in stupidity. Want to really cut some of the budget associated with Congress? Then get rid of the golden perks, get rid of about half of their staff, and totally eliminate travel budget. There is no reason for congressional members to travel. Last year the operating budget for congress was $5.42B. That was also the yer they could only cut the “proposed” budget by $30M. MFM where are you? Why does it take a Moron to publish this?

Is 2012 truly coming IAW the Mayan predictions?
A leading watchdog group (CREW) is touting new evidence of alleged ethics violations by Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Calif.) and calling for a criminal investigation.
CREW has been long known as a Democrat front group at the same time they have a tax exempt 501(3c) classification. That means they have to give the appearance of non-partisanship on occasion. So what do they do?
They call for a Democrat already under investigation by the ethics committee to be turned over for criminal investigation. A Democrat who is invulnerable to prosecution or any kind of meaningful punishment for corruption because she is shielded by the densest material on earth; blackdemocratium.

Thought killing that ethanol tax credit was done right?
Not so fast it is still in the Senate. Yeah the Republicans there are going to take it in the form of another bag of magic beans and spend the money for tax credits on other shit like wood chip that is frakinÂ’ worthless.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said Tuesday that she had reached an agreement with Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and John Thune (R-S.D.), although the lawmakers say there is not yet a final deal.

How about this Headline from the Hill
GOP bashes EPA over $100M in foreign anti-pollution grantsHouse Republicans launched a fresh attack on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) this week, blasting Administrator Lisa Jackson for setting aside millions of dollars in grants to foreign countries aimed at reducing global pollution.
Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee released a report Monday night detailing what they say is nearly $100 million in “foreign handouts” to countries like China, Thailand and Indonesia to support various environmental programs over the last decade.
Congress couldn’t cut but 30M from last year’s budget proposal (that actually spent more money) but we can send 100M to China for “green” shit. 100M we don’t have. You can’t even promulgate the standard lie that this is “stimulus”.
But the thing here is not that all of that shit is going on, it is that “the GOP” is bashing them. Why isn’t this news organization, and every other damn on in the country, bashing them?
Why the hell is the MFM NOT
doing their GD job? Does commie George
Soros own every media organization in the country? Stupid question I know.

This is supposed to be a compromise (more beans) between Republicans and Democrats (from local paper but havenÂ’t seen it in national papers yet).
WASHINGTON — A bipartisan team of senators aims to raise the Medicare retirement age to 67 and require the wealthy to pay more for their care as part of the White House-congressional effort to dramatically reduce federal deficits.
The plan, authored by Sens. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn., and Tom Coburn, R-Okla., would save an estimated $600 billion in the cost of Medicare, the governmentÂ’s health care program for the elderly and some disabled. While the plan is expected to meet strong resistance, some of its elements could be incorporated into a bipartisan deal.
This is the exact kind of shit “fix” that I used to get into arguments with Monty on some of his doom threads. They did this kind of shit twice already with Medicare and SS and every damn time they did it because Congress REFUSED to reduce spending they spent the “fix” and the system stays broke. Not only did the not reduce spending, they damn INCREASED it because this was in effect, a tax increase and it supposedly gave them more revenue to spend (but as we know only for a short period of time).
Folks do not listen to the appeasers on the squishy bench. The ONLY way to “fix” this shit is to cut spending.

Bristol said she was quoted "out of context" and Fox denied that.
I'll try to find a print write up on it. Above was best remembering from the couch discussion.

Who cares? They're ugly. Though the quote did say "things" so I'm assuming people are not necessarily the main focus. There are plenty enough unshapely things out there to shun. Take, for example, the "Smart Car." Now THAT'S an unshapely thing the wrongness of which is exceedingly great. Or, almost every public building built in the 1950's.

Dickhole, v.
1. To make a deal which seems beneficial to both parties. Without changing any of the language, of the deal, re-arrange ancillary components to create a far better position for one party than the other.
2. To “stick it” to someone without making it look like you’re the bad guy.
Ex: Obama invited Hillary to be his Sec State, which is a prestigious position with great influence. It also removes her from the position of being his adversary since they are working closely together. ItÂ’s a win-win.
Subsequently, Obama appoints “special envoys” to every trouble spot in the world. Every foreign policy victory opportunity that might go to enhancing Hillary’s reputation and resume will now go to someone else instead.
Obama dickholed her.

Apparently, that's the actual ad campaign for the Fiat 500.

Third update on the Columbia Wilding
Although the Columbia police have filed 2nd degree lynching charges against some of these “yoots” in my first post I warned that they would attack everything but the problem itself. That is the standard modus operandi of city government when it gets larger than 30K.
Here we go. “Curfew” in the 5-points area (and only temporary).
Also note this little gem from the Columbia Police chief:
The case is also stoking racial tensions in the city. Strange is white, and all of his attackers are black. Although Scott called the attack heinous, he said the race of the victim didn't matter to the attackers.
Imagine that same statement
reversed. A mob of white “yoots” attacked a single black youth severely
injuring him and a white police chief says it wasnÂ’t race related.
24/7 100 pt headlines about “South Carolina Burning”, every race monger in the country would be in Columbia, and the FBI would have a swat team in the State House.
I want to see some 25 year sentences for these “yoots”.

Fine. Doug Ross only searched for the word that Chris Wallace specifically said people were using. And people were not using it.
And he is way off base. Way, way off base. You know who is a flake? Mitt Romney's a flake. Ron Paul is a flake. Herman Cain is somewhat flaky. Jon Huntsman is like unto a bowl of Frosted Flakes. Tim Pawlenty looks like a flaky hobo type. There are a ton of flakes in the GOP field, and Michele is not one of them.
Furthermore, it's not necessarily the exact question that shows Wallace is "way off base" (except that it is, of course). Why in the world would he ask a question with that smug, snarky, belittling tone? What did he have to gain? This is what he had to gain: He attempted to gain legitimacy for journalists to ask loaded attack questions of our candidates. He attempted to gain the intellectual high ground, from which the MFM can gleefully snipe down at our candidates and blow them full of holes.
This was a Charlie Gibson looking-down-his-nose-through-his-spectacles moment. Chris Wallace wants to be known around the cucumber sandwich eating garden parties as the guy who shot Liberty Valance. Michele is a goddamned honest to God threat to the GOP establishment, and you're going to see elitists from every clique in both parties going for her throat at every opportunity.
Michele realized this, and that's why it took her a few days to accept his lame apology. That was her signal to the rest of the gutless pit Yorkies inside the Beltway that she's on to them, and she's only going to play nice as long as they do.
They're not going to Palin her and they're not going to Bork her. And that's got to be her very first mission. Before they will be willing to report on her seriously, they're going to have to take her seriously. If she'd laughed off the "are you still a pedophile?" question, the press would immediately know they had an easy mark, just like every goddamned national Republican figure is an easy mark.
Where did we start here? Oh, yeah. Iron Balls McGinty, In my opinion, you're being just a little too picayune in your criticism of my criticism of Chris Wallace.
He tried to dickhole her, and she wouldn't stay put for it.

Am I surprised that Obama lied about the military's recommendations for Afghanistan? No! The real surprise is who asked the question that revealed this. Our favorite Senator from S.C., the lovely, Lindsey Graham. Folks, let's give it up for Miss S.C., winner of this year's blind squirrel/nut award!
In response to questioning from Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Allen testified that Obama’s decision on the pace and size of Afghanistan withdrawals was “a more aggressive option than that which was presented.”
Graham pressed him. “My question is: Was that a option?”
Allen: “It was not.”
Allen’s claim, which came under oath, contradicts the line the White House had been providing reporters over the past week—that Obama simply chose one option among several presented by General David Petraeus. In a conference call last Wednesday, June 22, a reporter asked senior Obama administration officials about those options. “Did General Petraeus specifically endorse this plan, or was it one of the options that General Petraeus gave to the president?”
The senior administration official twice claimed that the Obama decision was within the range of options the military presented to Obama.

Who keeps dogs like that around their own kids, let alone lets them get loose to attack other children? A nurse who helped rescue the poor little boy said she removed her shirt to hold the child's face together. Two brave men are credited with beating the dog who had the boy's face in its jaws with a brick until it let him go. Then they shot it. The second dog had other kids trapped at the top of a jungle gym and ran.

This is, in microcosm, why government is evil. It doesn't care about a poor child being horribly injured because there is no power in it. But eggs? People shouldn't be eating without government approval and oversight.

Bah - of course the owners say they're dumbfounded. It's a lie to escape responsibility. These things are very rarely out-of-the-blue. Once pit bulls became the new animal status symbol of the ghetto, a gimick to say "I'm dangerous - look out" their doom as a breed was assured. Inbreeding in rapant, making most of them genetic basket cases. The idiots in the slums have no idea how to manage the breeding, and many are happy to have them go crazy because they want a violent dog.
When I was a kid we had a pit bull (back in the 70's). It was an ideal dog. You could train 'em to be mean, but the same can be said of Rots or Dobermans or whatever other dog you've got.

The Arlington story makes me physically ill. Add to that this story from the Houston Chronicle that had me spitting nails yesterday like a MacGyverized machine gun, and I think I'm finally going to get that ulcer that's been threatening me since college.
Houston VA accused of censoring religious speech
Local veterans and volunteer groups accuse Department of Veterans Affairs officials of censoring religious speech — including the word "God" - at Houston National Cemetery.
In one example cited in documents filed this week in federal court, cemetery director Arleen Ocasio reportedly told volunteers with the National Memorial Ladies that they had to stop telling families "God bless you" at funerals and that they had to remove the words "God bless" from condolence cards.
"It's just unfair that somebody would ask us to take God out of our vocabulary," said Cheryl Whitfield, founder of Houston National Memorial Ladies.
"I could've kept my mouth shut and let things happen, but when it comes to standing up for your belief in God and giving comfort to the families, I don't want to regret not saying anything," Whitfield said. "We all had to stand up for what we believe in..."
And THIS is what made my blood boil.
According to court documents, Ocasio banned veterans organizations and volunteer groups from using certain religious words such as "God" or "Jesus," censored the content of prayer and forbade the use of religious messages in burial rituals unless the deceased's family submitted the text for prior approval.

When Tuscaloosa, Alabama, begins rebuilding more than 7,200 homes and businesses leveled by an April 27 tornado, it may find itself missing a workforce capable of putting the city together again.
ThatÂ’s what Ever Duarte, head of the cityÂ’s Hispanic soccer league, said after losing a third of his teams in a week. Tuscaloosa CountyÂ’s 6,000-strong Hispanic population --including roofers, Sheetrockers, concrete pourers, framers, landscapers and laborers -- is disappearing, he said, before a law cracking down on illegal immigrants takes effect.
“They’re leaving now, right now,” Duarte, 36, said during a pause in a pick-up soccer game last week in a neighborhood gym. “I know people who are packing up tonight. They don’t want to wait to see what happens. It started last week. Our league had 12 teams the week before that. Last week, it was eight.”
How about that? Pass a law and it already has positive effects.

They covered that on F&F this morning too. Our government has actually become hostile to the majority of its citizens.
This can NOT last long folks. I just pray that we wind up with an Article V convention instead of the alternative. We know that the alternative will give about 25% die-off.
Posted by: Vic at June 29, 2011 05:19 AM (M9Ie6)
Totally agree, Vic. This crime was so utterly vile and incredible, I think it woke up a lot of people to the fact that there are some criminals who do not deserve any kind of mercy. People were outraged to learn that the worst these animals could get was life in prison. We all know they deserve the needle.
In the end what will start happening is vigilante justice and the liberal then will whine about lynching and mobs.
Posted by: Vic at June 29, 2011 09:12 AM (M9Ie6)
Yet they'll keep quiet about the ACTUAL mobs that keep trolling the streets of Philly, Chicago, and other major urban areas, because those "youths" are just "high spirited" but "aimless," and need "help" not "punishment.
Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Here's a question. Who can call for an Article V convention? Is it just the state legislature? Or can the actual PEOPLE somehow call for one, through a signature campaign or something similar? Because it's gotten absolutely ridiculous the way our rights have been whittled away little by little in such a short time (since about the 1960s I'd say), by the very people who are supposed to be protecting those rights.

Battle over shark fin soup heats up in California
Environmental groups are pushing the California Legislature to ban the sale and possession of shark fins, causing an emotional split among Chinese Americans for whom shark fin soup is a traditional delicacy.
One assumes it would still legal for actual sharks to possess shark fins, but with California you never know...

In a sense, I'm sure it was on the books - long long before that case. Then damn do-gooders began their crusade against the death penalty, and ever since we've all been progressively less safe in our homes. Every murder should carry the death penalty, so it's nice to see at least one area where the law is headed back in the direction of santiy.
Posted by: Reactionary at June 29, 2011 09:11 AM (xUM1Q)
Agreed. Every murder and, IMHO, every charge of rape of a child or serial rape should carry the threat of the death penalty. The option of using the death penalty doesn't mean it will be sought in every case, but the possibility should be there. If it doesn't act as a deterrant, it would sure as Hell help us clean some of the vermin off our streets.

As I said way back when he sent the 30K after dragging his heals like a drunk at last call, pull them all out now. He is killing more Americans and allies troops for covering his political ass.
Posted by: Vic at June 29, 2011 06:55 AMWe remember last week's Drudge link posting Obama's combat fatality rate (over one a day killed) in Afghanistan @ 6X the higher percentage rate against the GWB average loss of troops in combat. "Other" death statistics from our own troops being sabotaged by "allies" are extraordinarily high, as well.
Even with these deaths aside, the obvious reasons for impeachment mount, demanding immediate address ... moron crickets.
Perhaps Rand Paul will perform the formalities initiating Obama's impeachment on behalf of America, and on behalf of the indifferent Republican Leadership, given that Michele Bachmann is busy campaigning for potus to remove Obama via "people's voice" that Congress eschews, elections.
"America won't endure another four years of Obama." ?! Duh. Why endure the remainder of this Obama term without dragging him through impeachment? Why allow Obama's re-election campaign to avoid his Impeachment? If the Republican Leadership really wanted to oust Obama, they'd be pushing him through the impeachment process. That they aren't proves what they represent, "shared values" as Pelosi put it.
Constitutional Conservatism. I am appalled by the deceit from the "trustworthy" leaders of Republican conservatism when they whine about Alinsky tactics played against either Palin or Bachmann, only to finish their legitimate gripe by playing Alinsky themselves, attacking the Libertarian Republicans as if "anarchists". Congressman Ron Paul is no anarchist. His agenda is the application of our Constitutional Governance which is NOT anarchy. His books on the economy promote the Austrian School of Economics, nothing to do with anarchy. The stupidity of the establishment's smear makes a liar of Mark Levin who knows better, but is betting that people don't bother researching after the impression left by his WTF false charge and impact on public opinion. Since Levin considers himself the champion of truth, he must stay on record when assaulting an opponent. You can't select when to be truthful and when to deceive and call yourself honest. Don't propagandize fabrications and insist you're "the great one" unless you want to be compared to authoritarian propagandists. The applicable excuse/reason "Because I Could" would place Levin with Clinton, determining on behalf of the revisionist world what is means. pff
And for the record, except when he lies, I like and admire Mark Levin. It's one thing to be mistaken, and another to knowingly deceive. No one's perfect.

Didn't the wife and kids just get back from Africa, after a trip that reportedly cost 500,000 dollars?
This vacation- does anyone realize it's going to play hell on King Putt's golf game?

To be fair, the "Overworked" comes from Weasel Zippers' sarcastic headline. Though I wouldn't put it past the MFM to use similar phraseology in an utterly un-ironic, un-sarcastic way.

What irks me is that his concussion would impair his ability to respond with details. If I were accosted and assaulted, or were in an accident and suffering a concussion, it would be wrong for the police to discredit what I can remember because questions regarding what I can't remember would remain unanswered. And were the police to play favoritism against me because they are fans of those who attacked me, or collided with me in traffic, that would make getting over my concussion more painful and difficult, adding unnecessary stress.

Two brave men are credited with beating the dog who had the boy's face in its jaws with a brick until it let him go. Then they shot it. The second dog had other kids trapped at the top of a jungle gym and ran.
You can bet that if this happened in Massachusetts, those two brave men would be in jail on animal cruelty and discharging a firearm in a residentail zone (or similar) charges. They would be mere months away from losing huge civil suits for all they were worth.

Oh, this is beautiful. I love this so hard.
John Lennon was a closet Republican at the time of his death according to his last assistant.
“He’d met Reagan back, I think, in the 70s at some sporting event… Reagan was the guy who had ordered the National Guard, I believe, to go after the young (peace) demonstrators in Berkeley, so I think that John maybe forgot about that… He did express support for Reagan, which shocked me.
“I also saw John embark in some really brutal arguments with my uncle, who’s an old-time communist… He enjoyed really provoking my uncle… Maybe he was being provocative… but it was pretty obvious to me he had moved away from his earlier radicalism.
“He was a very different person back in 1979 and 80 than he’d been when he wrote Imagine. By 1979 he looked back on that guy and was embarrassed by that guy’s naivete.”

I used to have a pit bull. Sweetest, most even-tempered dog I ever owned. Eager to please and patient to no end. I trusted her 100% around my (then) 2 year old son. The only time she ever snapped at him was when he was literally jumping up and down on her on the couch. And then, she only gave him a warning snap in the air, she came no where near actually biting him.
Anyone who ever met that do, loved her, even if they weren't a dog person. Damn, I miss that dog.

Because of this ultimate danger, it may be better to require a license for ownership instead of outlawing the breed.
Pits and rots seem to be the breed of choice here in Waterloo, Iowa. I see a lot of guys, gang-wannabe's, walking them uptown. And if they don't behave, the owners often kick them. They raise them to be badass. Idiots.

The cry of a child by the roadway, the creak of a lumbering cart,
The heavy steps of the ploughman, splashing the wintry mould,
Are wronging your image that blossoms a rose in the deeps of my heart.
The wrong of unshapely things is a wrong too great to be told;
I hunger to build them anew and sit on a green knoll apart,
With the earth and the sky and the water, re-made, like a casket of gold
For my dreams of your image that blossoms a rose in the deeps of my heart.

The article implies that there is a lot of asking for further instructions from the White House in regard to captured terrorists with no two situations being handled the same with the risk of some captures being set free.
