— Gabriel Malor Why is there a 'd' when it's a "fridge" but not when it's a "refrigerator"?

It's the 'Mutt' of languages.
This makes for some very, very odd spellings and pronounciation.

But all may not be lost. All the House conservatives are not falling into the "plan".
The chairman of the conservative Republican Study
Committee wasted little time announcing his opposition to the House GOP
leadership's two-step plan to raise the debt ceiling.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who stood — visibly uncomfortable — next to House
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) during Monday's announcement of the plan,
released a statement saying he would vote "no" on the measure.
(Both of the above via Drudge)
Went to MoodyÂ’s to see what they actually had to say. They had no updated position on federal debt since July 18.

NAACP finally admits that blacks are members of the tea party
“These “sell-out negroes” wish they were white… They have no business speaking for and joining with racists who want to kick them back into slavery.”
Tell me again why the NAACP is still tax exempt.

More BS on Norway killer and "far right"
Norway killer Anders Behring Breivik had extensive links to English Defence LeagueA quick search on this “far right” extremist organization reveals that it is an anti-Islamic Sharia law spread in the UK. It was formed from members of the Soccer hooligan culture in the U.K. You are familiar with these street punks who use soccer as an excuse to riot after winning and riot after losing, mostly they just like to riot.
For the life of me I can not understand how anyone would call these people “right wing” which is normally associated with socialist vs capitalist policies of government. These people have only one thing as their target and it is the spread of Arab culture in the U.K. and the PC crowd’s allowing English law to be subverted. Personally I see nothing wrong with that they are right. (maybe that’s why they are “right-wing”). The problem with these people is that they like to riot and break the law. That really has nothing to do with right-left politics.Posted by: Vic at July 26, 2011 03:08 AM (M9Ie6)
And no, its never too early for some Vic. In any case, I have a dental appointment this morning at 8 am so I will be leaving in a few minutes for that.

The West love was still strong at WZ yesterday, but I say he's been co-opted by the Establishment GOP®. He talks a good game on terror, but when it comes to budgetary stuff, his actions (even before this) are speaking louder than.

The United States is fu¢¢êd.
Boners bill will only stretch it out some.
There will be no repeal of any of the crap the demo-crats passed while they had total power and we're supposed to start paying for ASAP. I don't care how many republicans you elect. Until we start electing citizens instead of con men we will all burn.

Sowell makes good points, but given the 40% that don't pay taxes at all, and another 12% that are too stupid to realize what an empty suit looks like, it seems to me that the debt ceiling offers some tangible discussion opportunity for our politicians to at least think about slowing the runaway train of spending our tax dollars. Unfortunately, I don't think our corrupt political system is capable of applying sufficient deceleration to the spending profile to keep us from running out of track (to use a high speed rail metaphor).

One thing that struck me; I am waiting for one of their "fair and balanced" panel debates. The panel would be made up of Juan Williams, Wendell Goler, Gretchen Carlson, Chris Wallace, and Shepard Smith. Oh but must also include Mara Liasson to get the news reporter input.

Purposed revision of language so as to smear whatever political elements support Constitutional Governance in America or generic Rule of Law in Europe.
"the vast right-wing conspiracy"
Makes as much sense now as when Hillary screeched her contempt for accountability in governance during her husband's administration.
Any rot from the Left, and the Left blames their own shit on the "right-wing". If that right-wing were anatomically illustrated, the left shoulder would host two wings, "left and right" on the lopsided, mutant LEFT.
If fiscal and constitutional conservatives have any wing at all in Congress, it has yet to show itself in the Republican Leadership. Rather, look to the Tea Party movement with assumed caucuses -- only Rand Paul minding shop since Bachmann's out on her potus campaign trail.
/Bachmann's tax attorney experience was working for the IRS?! True/False.

I have the utmost faith in the 12 selected Congresscritters to begin the process of selecting programs for cost reduction or elimination, and in the end, these American patriots will obfuscate, prevaricate, and obstruct the process thereby continuing the progressive program designed by Cloward and Piven to collapse the capitalist system and replace it with the Utopian model of Social Justice.
Wow! His teleprompter must have scored a kajillion on the vocabulary test.

Please don't confuse me with facts!
The fridge link didn't work for me and my quick stroll through the Fridgidaire site didn't reveal a refutation (at least to this link challenged reader).

I have just about given up hope on the current government. The Republicans are more worried about who is going to get the "blame" if the government shuts down than they are worried about who gets dead when the country shuts down and descends into anarchy.
I think right now our only hope is an Article V convention and even that is a slim hope. Even if we could get the 3/4 States to agree and vote on it. It would take to long to implement.
We are rapidly approaching the ultimate DOOM.

You forgot Bob Beckel, Alan Colmes, Kirsten Powers, and AB Stoddard. Now there's a balanced team!

I'm no longer sure even an Article V convention can make any difference. The entire massive, highly armed, federal government infrastructure is ignoring major parts (and it seems like all) of the Constitution as we speak.
With 52% voting for the Zero even once, what makes sane people think that they can get 3/4 of anything to agree to changing the system?
Next stop on the high speed rail transit system--DOOM!

Word clouds from last night. I'm surprised the focus group-tested 'balanced' did not score higher for Obama and that 'tax' didn't make the cut in Boehner's cloud

From Insty:
In his speech tonight, President Obama made sure to mention that President Reagan raised the debt ceiling 18 times during his presidency. By my math, thatÂ’s more than once every six months while he was in office. And yet, now itÂ’s dangerous to only extend the debt ceiling for 6 months. Can someone get President Obama to explain whatÂ’s changed?

I think the DoEd SWAT teams were involved as well.
Our feral overlords do not want us to be armed--they prefer the "Resistance is futile!" mode for their subjects.

Go to fridgidaire.com and you go to one of those text-only squatter pages that exploits a typo and feeds traffic to a search engine and primarily to the official properly spelled Frigidaire site. The page itself refutes you.

this is likely a deadthread but somebody aught really to post something on the poor mother who was prosecuted for crossing the street outside of a crosswalk and having her 4 yr old killed by a drunk driver.
Vehicular homicide. and the jury found her guilty.
