Obama Administration to Call for Syria's Assad to Step Down
Perhaps he should send a “sternly worded letter” as well. Or maybe he thinks he can open up another illegal war.

I know there was a thread for this last night but I want emphasize one major thing. Note the first paragraph in this story.
Republicans held onto control of the Wisconsin Senate on Tuesday, defeating four Democratic challengers in a recall election despite an intense political backlash against GOP support for Gov. Scott Walker's effort to curb public employees' union rights.
All the “polls” showed the Gov tanking and people dissatisfied with his “anti-union” efforts. As I have said many times, this is the only poll that matters and it is the most accurate. The polls were shit. The other thing I do not understand is how they can have an election and “recall” at the same time. Isn’t that just an unscheduled do-over for the last election?

Everybody is rioting as economies collapse.
As I said, any Morons living within 35 milers of a city > 30K need to move or be ready to split very fast at the first sign of trouble.

Looks like the Wisconsin Senate isn't going to flip. That's another bullet the Unions have shot and missed in trying to maintain the unsustainable government setup we have now.
Gov. Walker and the Wisconsin have taken it to the enemy as much as Chris Christie. They've actually made the Dems weaker nationally by forcing them to expend ever decreasing resources.
This is how to fight. Not the RINO method of waiting for conditions to be perfect.
As Gen. George S. Patton said: "A good plan executed violently is better than a perfect plan next week."

The Hill whistling past the political graveyard
Many experts assert that while the president might not yet have reached a point of no return on the economy, he will have to defy a number of historical precedents in order to win a second term.Use the old "many experts" dodge. That would be two of their co-workers on the editorial staff.

Posted by: Vic at August 10, 2011 06:57 AMPerhaps Barack Hussein Obama -- a/k/a Osama Obama, thanks to the late, never-great Teddy Kennedy -- should consider relocating his America-hating ass to the Middle East, since he clearly feels most at home with Muzzies, tin-pot dictators and terrorists.
I'd call that a win/win for all.

Hey, Syria, you better be careful!
Obama called for me to step down, and when I told him to tuck his junk between his legs and do the wookie dick-dance, he responded. Sternly.
And that's why I am no longer in power in Lybia.
Oh, and suck it, NATO.

Well we see where Commie Clyburn is headed if he is on the Super Tax Committee
U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn said Tuesday that a soon-to-be-appointed bipartisan congressional committee, charged with finding ways to cut federal spending, should sunset tax cuts, passed under President George W. Bush, and eliminate corporate tax loopholes, not cut entitlement programs.
That is about as
mealy-mouthed a statement as the PR rag can make. The Dems will appoint 6 commies just like this.

If that’s the case, Mark McKinnon, who was a top adviser to President George W. Bush, has a warning for the former Massachusetts governor. “I think he will put Romney in the microwave and turn it up to high,” he said. “Romney’s been avoiding the heat so far, but not when Perry gets in.”
Posted by: Vic at August 10, 2011 03:22 AM (M9Ie6)
Just to get spending even with revenues, government would have to confiscate ANOTHER 10% of everything made in America. Every year.
Talk of 'revenue enhancements' to keep ludicrous spending in place is boob-bait for the bubbas. There's not enough money out there.
Nominating someone a demagogue like Cyburn just shows the Dems are just trying to crash the whole process, because that works to their advantage. But, then again, that's been their approach all along.

CouldnÂ’t we say the same thing about all of the Obama executive branch? We should repeal the stupid no child law. In fact, we should repeal the Dept of Ed and all its regulations and fire everyone in it.

I was hoping redistricting would cut into Clyburn's "minority - majority" district but it looks like that is not going to happen. The Democrats have joined with a group of RINOs who used to be Democrats to block the Republican plan. By blocking it they have caused it to now go to the courts where the courts will do the redistricting.
This is the kind of shit that really pisses me off.

Well said. If there were any sense or reason motivating the British government, right now the Life Guards would be out in the streets doing some live-target saber practice. Rioters should be gunned down with ruthless vigor.
The link to the article yesterday was proof enough of what was going on - that this is the start of an insurrection. People were not just being robbed - they were being made to strip down and their clothes were taken. That's not just robbery. That is a clear statement of humiliation and domination - and there's no denying there's a strong ethnic component involved.
What sickens me most is that the only solidarity shown by law abiding folk seems to be in the Turkish/Kurdish sections. Of course, the reason is probably that they know they have the cover of their skin color to keep them from being arrested for the crime of self defense. Any pale English will no doubt continue to be arrested if they dare raise a fist to fend off an attacker. Even as the police, in their apathy, stand by and allow the assaults on the innocent to take place.
To me, it's disappointing in the extreme that none of the English anti-muslim organizations have come out to fill in where the police fail. If English nationalist organizations were to be seen as the only defenders of the law abiding public they would make great progress in the elections. Or at least their recruiting would benefit greatly, and make them more ready for the final showdown.

Vic, I was at the mall last night getting kids measured for school shoes (which we will buy online), and hanging out near some TVs watching London burn. There were two VA State Troopers watching the same thing - I said "I hope you have a plan to hold the bridges" (into DC), they didn't answer but their body language agreed with the small group milling about. Didn't even get a disapproving look from a moderate Republican type, who thinks we shouldn't talk about such things.

It is the first big money allocation bill this year. Remember all those calls that said the CR was not really a budget so much as a guideline and that the spending allocation bill would be the key?
Well here it is. The highway allocation has always been the traditional pork vehicle for both Parties. I can hardly wait to see what they do and I hope the "big fight" is not over a few cents in gas taxes.

Anyway, a few salient points from the EIR, according to the Fresno Bee: about 700 homes, 680 businesses, and 3,450 acres of farmland would need to be displaced for this segment of the bullet train.
CurbedLA
So, almost $14 billion spent out in the boonies before you have to spend the real big bucks to build in the urban areas around LA, SF and Sacramento. GG Choo-Choo types.
BTW - for those 680 businesses lost, the reports estimate about 30 employees per, so that's 20,000 more jobs lost. Again, before you hit the built-up areas where most people work.

I've got to run out and will check back later, but I just thought I'd ask since this is a kinda open thread thingy. Has anyone ever tried the holistic ADD meds you see advertised on the interwebz?
There was one product that was up constantly when I clicked onto the HQ, but it disappeared. I did a customer reviews search at the time and found pages and pages of good reviews.
There's another one I found that has a name similar to "focus factor" and the reviews said while it's effective, it's too expensive to be able to buy continuously (which sounds like an honest review and not something the company made up). Any Moron/Moron offspring experience with this stuff?
