Some good news on the tobacco Nazi FDA wars
The tobacco companies are suing them over the new stupid cigarette package labeling. The action was filed in the District Court of Washington DC. It has about zero chance of being won regardless of the fact that everything they say is true.

The TX Dept of Motor Vehicle Board is deadlocked on an issue of whether or not to approve a specialty tag commemorating TX Confederate Heritage. The board is short one member and the History side wants a member appointed favorable to their cause while the NAACP is still in its never ending war against all things having to do with the Confederacy.
If it was just the NAACP it would be a no-brainer. I doubt if Perry has ever got much more than one or two votes from members of the NAACP. However, this is the kind of issue that the MFM will bleed all over for months on end. If I was him I would publicly ask the existing board what their recommendations were for a new member based on their duties OTHER than BS specialty license plates and appoint the new member based on that.

Perry enemies pile on over BS treason remark
The White House and Bush administration officials are both ripping Texas Gov. Rick Perry for his remarks about Ben Bernanke.
You expect this from the WH and their PR rag The Hill. But who are these so-called Bush adm “officials”? Well they were the chief asshole and architect of Bush’s worst policies, Carl Rove and some slug I never heard of named Tony Fratto who was billed as a “Bush Spokesman”.
As I said I never heard of this guy but he was some kind of Deputy Assistant in communications. IOW he was a minor flunky. Here is how he is currently described as to career:
Tony Fratto is managing partner at Hamilton Place Strategies, a strategic communications and crisis management consultancy based in Washington, DC. He is also an on-air contributor on the CNBC Business News Network, addressing current economic policy issues.
Lo and behold, he is an NBC contributor and he issues a statement on twitter. In any case, the stupid fools are doing themselves more harm with this idiotic attack which is easily rebutted. They are also killing their “just another Bush” meme which probably causes more idiots pains than the “treasonous” comments.

From the WSJ:
Obama Aims to Keep White Voters on Board
PEOSTA, Iowa—President Barack Obama's Midwest trip this week has allowed him to address a central challenge for his re-election: His popularity has slumped among white voters—particularly young, poor and working-class Americans—as Washington has struggled to help boost economic growth.
The interesting thing about this article, which is not on the opinion page, is that he is trying to shore up white voters. This is significant for two reasons (1) More indications that most sane reporters consider this a campaign trip and (2) This indicates that their internals show that he is in serious trouble with non-minority voters.
The question is, when is someone in the Republican Party going to file a complaint for him using federal resources for campaigning?

La Raza Mayor of L.A. wants to kill Proposition 13 for businesses in L.A.
It is a good thing he has no authority for this, and neither does anyone in L.A. I guess they could go to the useless CA Supreme Court and get yet another CA voter initiative overturned and send another two or three million people and businesses out of State.

And speaking of the DOJ, how about some serious WTF here
EEOC attorney Lynette Barnes said Tuesday the suit has been filed in U.S. District Court in Raleigh against United Insurance Co. of America. The suit contends the firm violated federal disability discrimination law by refusing to hire 30-year-old Craig Barnes after he disclosed he was taking methadone as part of an addiction treatment program.
Two serious things here. I guess being a drug addict is now a federally protected minority and two it is a “disability”. Shit, why does he need a job as an insurance agent. All he has to do is pile on SSDI like the rest of the worthless parasites being supported by our commie government.
As Bachmann says, we need the mother of all repeal bills and we can add to the EPA repeal, the ADA piece of shit and the EEOC which has outlived its usefulness since the first day it was created.

Why should there be a home mortgage deduction? Why should there be milk supports? Once you get past the initial 'because there always has been one' reaction you will feel better, I promise.
It all must stop at once. Up or down votes are the only votes with a chance. Look at the ObamaCare exemptions for an example of an idea gone wrong.

My points on that post are several:
1. The commies consider any tax deduction that their parasite base is not likely to get a "loophole" that requires closure while direct subsidies and tax credits for green shit and other payoff crap like Washington DC home buyers credit are necessary things.
2. Even if this was a perfect committee it is not the place to do "tax reform". And the committee makeup is a guaranteed fail for non-RINO Republicans.
3. Yes, real tax reform would be a flat tax. We will never see that outside of an Art V convention.

The media really is the dog in 'Up'. "Squirrel!"
No one except losers should take advice from any '08 McCain Campaign strategist. If you want to get along with the establishment, Be refined like the politically incorrect James Bond rather than like Rambo? "Adios, Mofo."
The Fed has already conducted two such programs, known as quantitative easing [of total fraud], since the financial crisis. Critics say that such programs are equivalent to the Fed running the printing presses faster and can lead to a long-term reduction in the value of the dollar. When you say these things on a national stage ... it's going to come back and get you," said Ford O'Connell, an advisor on Republican John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. "You've got to be more like James Bond and less like Rambo," he said.

At the root of this issue, DoJ has simply arrogated too much power to itself. As a result, a racist, hate-filled goon like Holder -- with, no doubt, the active participation of President Stuttering Clusterfuck -- can mold operations and policies to pursue Black Panther-style ends.
Much as I hate them for imposing government interference on our lives (what was it Gov. Perry said about the best government?), EPA and EEOC are not inherently destructive. Their use by agenda-driven, America-hating shitweasels is the problem.
If we didn't have a Republican Party dominated by the Ed Morrissey "In fairness..." cowards, this, and the rest of the shameful, treasonous activities of Osama Obama and his henchmen would be out there for all to see 24/7, there would be hearings and impeachment resolutions and, in an honest world. the Traitor-in-Chief would be headed for a prison term.

One needn't go so far as the exemptions since the entire point of Statist HealthCare is financially impossible to sustain EVEN AT THE STATE LEVEL as endorsed by both Romney and Perry (twins separated at birth).
State Health Care went bust in Tennessee before Massachusetts insisted on it for themselves. This was all illustrated by charts and exact tax dollar figures by the Republican Physicians' group of congressional members who addressed the nation from the House and Senate floors broadcast on CSPAN long before Obama signed his bastardization of medical care into law without proper congressional voting protocol.
The mantra of the '08 potus election from both parties was to advance AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE reform legislation, of which no single item that would have cut costs was included or given debate and vote.

Recalls are longshots unless you catch an officeholder fucking chickens or something else that the people that elected the person might get upset about. Lacking that you're in essence telling people to admit they fucked up by electing somebody, which people are loathe to do. Wisconsin's law makes it way too easy to recall people and needs to be changed; but anybody making it tougher will run the risk of being for permanent office holders.

VERY QUIETLY OBAMA'S CITIZENSHIP CASE REACHES THE SUPREME COURT.
Apparently Hawaii has until August 8, 2011, to produce documents and open the books for a full investigation. This order was delivered on July 5, 2011, under a direct order of the Supreme Court.
VERY QUIETLY OBAMA'S CITIZENSHIP CASE REACHES THE SUPREME COURT AP - WASHINGTON D.C. -
In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has Released
copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College. Released today, the transcript school indicates that Obama, under the name,
Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate. The transcript was released by Occidental College
in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied
for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship,
a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking.
Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya, and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The
news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as
President article titled, "Obama Eligibility Questioned," leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obama's first
official visit to the U.K.
In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to
hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey. This lawsuit claims Obama's
dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrio's case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of
Obama's citizenship or qualification to serve as president.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates
that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of
any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney general,
Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter.
LET OTHER FOLKS KNOW THIS NEWS, BECAUSE THE MEDIA WON'T!
Subject: RE: Issue of Passport?
While I've little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved
by Obama answering one simple question. What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi? So how did a
young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a
round-the-world trip just a month later? And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi , what passport was he
offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration?
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NOT ONLY DESERVE TO HAVE ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS, THEY MUST HAVE ANSWERS. It makes the debate
over Obama's citizenship a rather short and simple one.
Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A: Yes, by his own admission.
Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities.
1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport.
2) He traveled with a British passport, or
3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.
Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981.
Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport. If he were traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, and not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.
Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.
Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress, and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

Because all candidates need to dance to your tune. Or is it just some candidates? According to another commenter yesterday, Reagan didn't declare until November of 1979.
It's funny how when we either like politicians, or think their chances of winning to be the best, we indulge them. 'Brown acts as he does because of where he is'. Castle dodged one tough race after another and that's his right. When they're liked, they're being 'savvy'. And when they aren't, we get the 'BS'.

Any executive branch entity other than State, Treasury, Defense, and Post Office is, by definition, useless. I am open to discuss the position of Attorney General, but frankly do not see the need for a federal department of law (I call it that because it has nothing to do with justice). I also want to see DoD broken up and revert back to the departments of war and navy; but, I am willing to delay that to phase 2.

I predicted the RINOs from MI would sell us out on that Supershit Committee
Too bad I canÂ’t place a flaming skull in the comment box
Article goes bla bla blaÂ…..and then
Upton, a moderate Republican, also said "tax reform is long overdue," adding that while he doesn't think raising taxes on businesses will help with job growth, he would be open to closing loopholes.
Keep in mind what the Pelosi commies consider loopholes. Be advised that when they talk about “tax reform” what they actually mean is raising taxes. And yes, if you eliminate the deduction for home mortgages and then start taxing employer provided health insurance as income you are, in fact, raising the damn tax rates on nearly every “working American”.
Nothing like a “moderate” Republican assigned to the most important committee of the decade in which it only takes one aisle-crossing SOB to kill us. Thank you crying Boner you SOB, you sold us out again. The “deal” was a sell-out, the committee members are a sell-out, and you are a worthless shit. You make these damn worthless deals trying to gain seats in purple districts. Don’t you freakin know you are creating a GD 3rd Party?
So 80sbaby, how is it that they canÂ’t raise taxes again?
