Article thinks that split in Tea Party support is helping Romney

Perry has gained a commanding lead but the split among the other candidates is helping Romney because there are too many candidates now. Also, some are holding out for Palin.

As I said last week, Palin needs to announce that she is not running. There are too many candidates already and she has waited too late. We sure as hell do not want a repeat of 2008 where a candidate that 70% of the base hated got the nomination.

8 Scarborough is pontificating that Perry Cannot Win a General Election. They are all agreeing, the talking heads. And yet: Scarborough was actually hoping HE would be Mike Blooming-idiot's VP pick! Bloomberg is electible? Their faces give them away: no matter WHO the GOP nominee is, aside from Mitt RINOmney, it's "a gift to Obama." Yet the Gift Called Perry has them looking like they're dog just died. They all know the REAL issue is the Electibility of President Downgrade. A ham sandwich can beat Obama now, and President Sandwich would cause less damage.

17 8 CC,

they live in a fantasy world where Perry is inherently less qualified and a riskier gamble than Mocha Je$u$ was back in '07.....

"suddenly" qualifications matter again

everytime you see a newsie in real life tell them to start doing their fucking job and reporting the goddamned news like they would if a GOP president were running guns to drug dealers.

Christie's NJ Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights paves the path into DHS indoctrination with "see and tell" and "no such thing as innocent bystanders". So what is required to "try to stop" bullying that you witness in the lunch line in order to prevent being prosecuted for not "trying to stop" the bullying? These kinds of "well intended" laws always lead to more frivolous litigation. The schools already have cameras monitoring student behavior. Now the students are supposed to overtly police themselves since they outnumber school staff?

If you all knew how many people are getting on disability right now for no other real reason than "too freaking fat to work," your heads would explode.  If you knew how many of them were illegals, your whole body would explode.

And every single one of them promptly gains about 40 lbs in the first 6 months off work.

Disability for out of control obesity (like motorized scootors for same) violates the 'first do no harm' rule of medicine big time.

I don't know if it is fair to call it a "split". Looking at polls, it appears as thought Perry has taken almost all of Bachmann's votes.

Also, if Palin stays out of the race, I can only assume her holdouts vote Perry and not Romney or Paul

114 Conservatives need to quit being such pussies and call the minority racists and their race-baiting pals in the media out for what they are.  How about we have that national discussion?

On a related note, I'd absolutely like to punch that lying piece of shit Alan Colmes in the face every time he's on FOX and defends racists like Carson.  He always brings up the lie about John Lewis being spit on and someone saying the n-word during Nancy's immortal March of the Giant Gavel - those are flat out lies, events that never happened, and yet Colmes parrots the story every time he's on.

Abuse of power takes many forms..... It took a century for the term 'racist' to become as powerful a weapon as it is (or was, until it's recent overuse).

But now, if this term is going to be used primarily as a blunt instrument to shut down freedom of speech in political opposition.......then, people will be a lot less inclined to vote for black politicians who might abuse the term 'racist' for their own selfish political purposes.

Lucas's continued tinkering with his past work seems to me like he is exhibiting symptoms of the 'Remake Fever' that is running rampant through Hollywood these days.

Rather than come up with any great new ideas......Hollowood seems intent on making remakes of remakes. Could this be a further indication that liberalism is a mental disease?  Their persecution of conservatives, and exclusion of conservative thoughts/principles in their body of work, could explain the overall weakening of their collective gene pool of ideas.

125 So...at about 3:30 this morning my puppy Gonzo the Ridiculous woke my wife and me up barking. Usually she clams down after the "quiet" command, but she kept at it. It was cool last night so we had the windows open and it became obvious she was hearing something outside. We live on a cul-de-sac and we usually don't have any cars going by at night.

I got up and looked out the window, and sure enough, I see someone with his head in my trash can which was at the curb for pickup day.

We had a spate of car break-ins last summer, and one neighbor was recently a victim of ID theft and is going through shit trying to clean that up.

By the time I got downstairs and out the door, he was in my neighbors can. I wlked up behind him and grabbed him by the shirt at the neck...and turned him around and asked him what the fuck he was doing. he was actually wearing a head-mounted flashlight.

He just looked at me and said he was doing nothing wrong. I had grabbed my Glock and stuck it in my shorts as I went out, but I decided not to shoot him

I went back in to call 911..but the wife was actually doing it. Meanwhile the trash diver kept on his merry way going through other peoples shit.

The cops came and told us that they were aware of this guy and had been called on him many times, but there was nothing they could do. The guy just says he's collecting cans, which is bullshit because we have separate recycling bins.

This morning my wife talked to someone else in the neighborhood and said she had seen the guy a few weeks ago pulling bags out of the trash can and tossing them into a van.

We have no sidewalks, so there can be no easement anyone can claim between one and the curb. My cans were actually about six feet from the curb on my property.

Just a warning folks...be sure to shred everything with your personal info on it, because trash cans and everything in it are legally accessible to anyone passing by.

I've burned up three shredding machines in recent years.... Still have an old Fellows one tho, that's over 20 years old, which is my old standby. Yeah. The dumpster divers apparently get good money for handing over discarded paperwork with anything 'usable' on it.

Even with shredding everything.....you can still get burned by ID theft and credit card theft, just by using your cards at the wrong place or using them on the internet. It's made us go back to using cash a lot more these days.

The term lynching was coined after Colonel Lynch of the SC militia established a reputation for making quick work of captured Tories during the unpleasantness in the Carolinas 1780-1.

The Teaparty is named after an incident that led up to that unpleasantness.

ergo, Teaparty = racist!

(and their opponents = Tories)

158 The Tea Party is a state of mind. I do not belong to any Tea Party organization, yet when I sent Boehner an email during the debt ceiling debate, I bet he THOUGHT I was in the Tea Party. I think any citizen who demonstrates a "you work for us" mentality when communicating with the boobs in Washington is immediately pegged as a Tea Partier. This is a good thing. Makes the bastards think we have them surrounded when there may only be a handful of us around the Capitol. The Tea Party is a state of mind. But there are millions of us who are like-minded right now. There is a disorganized unity to it, and it's a beautiful thing.
