Second the early scope recommendation. If not caught early, this is deadly, but the scope is just a PITA. With the scope, your down time is about 1.5 days. With internal surgery, it is a week or more and there may be other complications.
My best to Vic.

Why is last month's news today's Drudge headline?
It takes that long for our "journalists" to report. Given problems with pirates, China's aggression aside, it only makes sense for India to do merchant business using an amphibious assault vessel.
ChinaÂ’s naval assertiveness irked defense officials in India and Vietnam. China claims the South China Sea in its entirety, rejecting partial claims by Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines and Taiwan over the resource-rich region. China and Vietnam have been trying to mend fences ever since Hanoi claimed in May that Chinese patrol boats had sabotaged Vietnamese oil exploration vessels. Vietnamese protests over negotiated terms of agreement then began in June, causing the Vietnamese government's response against its own population. Hillary Clinton insisted last year that the South China Sea was of strategic importance to the US and offered to act as a mediator. On July 22 shortly after the INS Airavat completed a scheduled port call in Vietnam traveling from the port of Nha Trang to the northern city of Hai Phong, an unidentified Chinese warship demanded that IndiaÂ’s merchant marine amphibious assault vessel identify itself and explain its presence in what China claims Chinese waters only 45 nautical miles off the Vietnamese coast within VietnamÂ’s economic zone.
Btw, "Peace With Honor" aside, it didn't take a genius to go figure at the time just how wrong Nixon/Kissinger were making China America's favorite trade nation. How's business lately between US and Vietnam?

China had its own Vietnam called well "Vietnam"....

now there's two ways to look at this...
1) China got bitchslapped and vietnam asserted that it was its own nation not "little brother"
2) the Chinese are the only second tier power that truly understands the limits on military power and was genuine in just wanting to raid Hanoi....
anyway at any rate with a real President we could get Vietnam into a renewed SEATO and use their military trainers to aid us in guerrilla war tactics...they are simply the best at it

When I saw photos of the MLK memorial, something seemed odd. Then I read that the Chinese sculptor who did the statue has done many statues of Chairman Mao. After that, it all made sense.
What a memorial: foreign labor and materials, plus $800K to King's family for the "rights" to build it. Yeah, that's a great friggin' monument!

nobody knows the soundness of the Chinese currency in the way they do for even Greece....
I am betting there is a lot of Imaginarium involved in their so called capital reserve, when we had annual renewals we could shut off trade if need be.....changing that status is what gave us access to the Red Chinese credit card that is unhealthy for all involved.

Hm, Christie's new NJ law, "Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights" leaves no room for "innocent bystanders" and begins the "tell" of tattling in Kindergarten.
Incidentally, the Coptic Christians firmly indoctrinate the separation of church and state based upon Jesus admonishing people to give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. "Naturally" fanatic Islamists annihilate them whenever taking power, unsatisfied with the enforced dhimmi tax, eliminating any philosophical challenge to purist Theocracy. The Egyptian Army government has not been able to protect the indigenous Coptics whose Egyptian ancestry predates Islam by centuries. And on the Egyptian Army government, they don't do the garbage duty. No one removes Cairo's trash any more.

What was Cheney's popularity at the end of the Bush era, about 18%, never mind that he helped keep the lives of the worthless 52% safe for a decade. Why was this, because the MFM press followed the dictates of a public relations campaign, coming out the Emirates and Kuwait among others, that sought to exonerate every terrorist, and stigmatize every measure designed to counter them. So there is that to consider.
Posted by: captain smith at September 01, 2011 05:03 AM (1kwr2)
Morning, all!
If you're planning to visit Canada, I'd do it sooner rather than later. Their government is currently debating passage of a bill to expand the scope of their already oppresive "hate speech" definition to include national origin as an "identifiable group," to join the ranks of such familiar chestnuts as color, race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. But, since "hate speech" can only be directed toward groups that are considered "disadvantaged," that means calling an Israeli a "genocidal baby killer" would be just peachy, but calling a Pakistani a "childish little goat-humping moron" would warrant a visit from the police.
Worse still, one amendment to the bill would make it possible to be charged with hate speech even if all you do is "provide access" to supposed hate speech. This can be a simple as posting a hyperlink to a website where someone posts an article that describes a "disadvantaged" group in a negative light.
So yeah. Get your mountie hats and Canadian bacon while you can.

Stephen King Launches ‘Provocative’ Radio Program
Horror writer Stephen King will launch a “deliberately skewed, left-leaning morning show” on two Bangor, Maine radio stations owned by King and his wife, WZON 103.1 FM and 620 AM. Regular hosts will be former gubernatorial candidate and journalist Pat LaMarche and Don Cookson, a former reporter and communications director for Maine’s Secretary of State.
“We wanted to shake things up a little bit in the market,” King said. “We’re a little to the left, but we’re right…. We’re going to be provocative.” The station is expanding news coverage while other stations are cutting original programming.
