Ever notice this at Fox:

The link headline from the front page

Pentagon Counting on Deficit 'Super Committee'

The actual headline from the story

Pentagon Warns That Inaction in Deficit Panel Talks Could Devastate the Military, Economy

So why the difference? And If it is the ‘Pentagon” then why the picture of Leon Panetta?

In any case it doesn’t look like the are “counting” on the committee. It looks like they are warning the Dems and RINOs on the committee to find some real cuts. What I say, “good luck with that” and thank you Republican leadership.

Looks like Obamacare will move to the Supreme Court during the term that starts in October.

SEC plans legal action against S&P

People should not be surprised that a lawless Democrat administration will use a regulatory agency to punish companies and people who do not toe the line for their bullshit. This is not the first time. Wilson used them, later FDR used them, now Obama. Is it illegal? Damn right it is illegal. They were about to impeach Nixon for even looking like he would do this. Democrats actually do it and get away with it.

Why is that?

McConnell and Senate squishes sell us out again

The Senate has approved a spending bill CR and stop gap FEMA funding bill. They will increase spending above the limits agreed to in the previous compromise and will NOT have any offsets to bring totals down. I had to go to three different articles to determine what they actually did with spending here folks. The MFM always tries to hide what they do with spending in Washington.

It will go back to the House now where crying Boner will also likely cave.  This is why a lot of us have repeatedly said any deal that promises to cut spending down the road is a damn lie. Hell, they are not cutting it even for this year by their own agreed to deal.

And the real irony for this one???? The SOBs Democrats backed the squishes down over offsetting cuts to the “green program” shit. That while we have multiple fraud cases going on in these programs. We are f*king really doomed. These stupid bastards in Washington just do not get it.

So what is the House leadership doing?

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Monday he plans to unveil reforms this fall on a new budgeting process for Congress.

We can’t live within the rules we currently have. The Dems repeatedly lie and cheat and never complete their promises and agreements. But Ryan here will come up with a new plan. You know what I call this kind of bullshit. Useless damn rhetoric to calm the masses. There is no chance in hell anything useful will pass the Senate and even if it did, based on history since neither party will follow the new “rules” it is worthless.

And some of you folks want this guy to run for President?

Fred Thompson discusses Perry's problems and late entry to the race

This is a must read folks. He is essentially saying the same thing I have been saying for a while. It is too late for any new candidates to get in. Entering the race doesnÂ’t depend on some artificial deadline date on the calendar. It depends on what the other candidates have been doing in the race.

Romney looks like a slick used car salesman because he has been running since late 2005. The Republican base is going to have to pay attention, disregard these worthless damn debates that are really designed to push the mediaÂ’s candidate at the same time they attack the Republican party in general. Apply some damn logic people.

Can you truthfully attack PerryÂ’s weakness in illegals when. At worst his record is mixed,  while Romney actually supported the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill. Can you attack him over Gardicil mistakes which he admits while supported Romney who loved him some big government healthcare and lies about it?

And finally some say “attacking” Perry doesnÂ’t mean I support Romney”.  At this stage of the game yes, it pretty much does. Especially if Cain keeps tromping on his lower member.

FYI for my fellow Perry fans:

Thomas Sowell has put up a new op-ed on Townhall dot com....."Superman vs Warm Body".

[excerpts]

Superman vs Warm Body

"The current outbreak of "gotcha" attacks on Texas Governor Rick Perry show one of the other pitfalls for those who are trying to pick a national leader. The three big sound-bite issues used against him during the TV "debates" have involved Social Security, immigration and a vaccine against cervical cancer."

[it is a Ponzi scheme] ... "On Social Security, Governor Perry was not only right to call it a "Ponzi scheme," but was also right to point out that this did not mean welshing on the government's obligation to continue paying retirees what they had been promised."

[Sowell chastises Bachman] .... "it reflects no credit on her to have tried to scare people with claims about the dangers of vaccination. Such scares have already cost the lives of children who have died on both sides of the Atlantic from diseases that vaccination would have prevented."

[about that Fence] .... "The biggest mischaracterization of Governor Perry's position has been on immigration. The fact that he has more confidence in putting "boots on the ground" along the border, instead of relying on a fence that can be climbed over or tunneled under where there is no one around, is a logistical judgment, not a question of being against border control."

[Sowell chastises Santorum] .... "Texas Rangers have already been put along the border to guard the border where the federal government has failed to guard it. Former Senator Rick Santorum's sound-bite attempts to paint Governor Perry as soft on border control have apparently been politically successful, judging by polls. But his repeated interrupting of Perry's presentation of his case during the recent debate is the kind of cheap political trick that contributes nothing to public understanding and much to public misunderstanding."

"Even those of us who still disagree with particular decisions made by Governor Perry can see some of those decisions as simply the errors of a decent man who realized that he was faced not with a theory but with a situation."

"Ultimately, this is not about Governor Perry. It is about a process that can destroy any potential leader, even when the country needs a new leader with a character that the "gotcha" attackers demonstrate they do not have."

50 White House Pressures Ford Today's Detroit News: As part of a campaign featuring "real people" explaining their decision to buy the Blue Oval, a guy named "Chris" says he "wasn't going to buy another car that was bailed out by our government," according the text of the ad, launched in early September. "Ford pulled the ad after individuals inside the White House questioned whether the copy was publicly denigrating the controversial bailout policy ..." If you put a list of the Osama Obama regime's felonies -- not enforcing immigration law, funneling public money to their pals, selective prosecution (except if you're a member of a protected minority, in which case there's no prosecution at all) and general gross incompetence, the Congress of the 1970s or before would impeach the Chicago Jesus's worthless ass in a heartbeat.

The US secretary of state also acknowledged America's "inability" to stop weapons being smuggled across the border from the US and being used by the drug cartels in a bloody turf war.

Mrs Clinton made her candid remarks as she flew to Mexico City for a two-day visit where she will discuss US plans to ramp up border security with President Felipe Calderon.

"Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade. Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the death of police officers, soldiers and civilians," she said during her flight to Mexico City.

"I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility."

She said US efforts to ban drugs such as cocaine and heroine had clearly not worked and it was unfair to blame Mexico for its drug cartel problem.

69 Perry is right about trying to fence the border.  I've seen enough of the Texas/Mexico border to understand what he is talking about.  The terrain is just not suitable for a fence.  Some places a fence could work, but not the whole border.  Even if the U.S. could manage to build a "Great Wall" along the Mexican border it would come to be known as an expensive boondoggle.

Mexico has repeatedly said it cannot contain the increasingly brutal cartels, now armed with grenades and rocket launchers, if America does not do more to stop the drugs gangs buying guns in the US, where they are much easier to obtain.

Oh when I said "just kidding" it meant I know you can write off mileage. However, under the old rules you had to exceed a 7.5% floor for medical expenses (meaning you subtract 7.5% of your gross income from totals). Under new Obamacare rules it is 10%.

Although wife and I both have high medical expenses when you subtract out those "floors" what is left isn't enough to qualify for itemized deductions. Shows how the Dems really never cared any damn thing about people and medical coverage.

They are the ones who put the first floor in there for medical expenses. You basically have to bankrupt yourself now to qualify.

77 I mean, would you hire Boner to do something as menial as cutting your lawn? He'd probably "negotiate" with the friggin' weeds instead of cutting them.

There's a very good point here. If Boehner were a contractor working on an addition for your house, we'd have fired him by now.  In 2010 before the election, Mr. "Pledge to America" said he'd cut $100 billion from the 2010 budget.  Instead, he 'cut' it by about $300 million and baselined the Porkulus spending.

Imagine if a contractor told you he'd have an addition to your house done in six months for twenty thousand dollars, and in six months (and twenty thousand dollars later) all you had was piles of wood and power tools in your living room while the contractor declares arrogantly that this is the best he could do, and you just don't understand carpentry.

78 My wife met Romney yesterday at a small (50 people) gathering at work. She was impressed by his gravitas, and while she didn't describe him as "friendly," she said he had a pleasant demeanor. She was also impressed by his seemingly honest love for this country.

He said, in response to a question, that "America is the most patriotic nation in the world, and Israel is the second most patriotic nation."

Interesting.

2) Illegals do not typically work in government jobs which is where most of the unions are at now.

@CharlieBrown'sDildo, the marriage (and/or the sexual relationship) would be explicitly illegal in a handful of states. For example, Arkansas' incest statute:

5-26-202. Incest.

(a) A person commits incest if, being sixteen (16) years of age or older, he purports to marry, has sexual intercourse with, or engages in deviate sexual activity with a person he knows to be: (1) An ancestor or a descendant; or
(2) A stepchild or adopted child; or
(4) An uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece; or
(5) A stepgrandchild or adopted grandchild.
(b) The relationships referred to in this section shall include blood relationship without regard to legitimacy.
(c) Incest is a Class C felony; however, incest is a Class A felony if the victim is under sixteen (16) years of age and the perpetrator is over twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of the offense.

117 "You're telling me Hillary says it's our 'Inability' to stop weapons going into Mexico is a problem?" Willow, It's important to put this in the right part of the timeline. She was telling this lie soon after becoming Secretary of State in the beginning of 2009. The Fast and Furious part of Gunrunner didn't start until the end of 2009 or later. Between Clinton's remarks and the start of Fast and Furious, William Lajeunesse debunked the 90% lie in April 2009. This is critical because the implausible part of the scandal is the idea of a bunch of guys in a back room saying, "We'll walk guns into Mexico, they will get captured and show up at crime scenes, and then they will trace back to the US to show how weak our gun laws are." Instead, it was, "Oh shit! They called the admin on their 90% bullshit. We already have a smuggling interdiction program in place, how about we let a few of the guns slip through and boost the numbers for captured US guns in Mexico?"

At Obama's House of Blues fundraiser last night:

a bearded young man standing in the front row closest to the stage began shouting, completely disrupting the event: "Christian God is the one and only true living God, the creator of Heaven and the Universe.”

Obama just stopped speaking and smiled uncomfortably at him as the crowd booed loudly to drown him out. Eventually, police and Secret Service dragged the man through the crowd and out of the theater.

The man was still being escorted out and yelled: “Jesus Christ is god, Barrack Obama is the antichrist!"

After the man was dragged out, Obama then turned to the crowd and cried, “I now command you to seek out and destroy the Nazarene child. Slay the Nazarene... and I shall reign forever. Fail... and I perish."

Most of their employees are either fresh and idealistic newbies right out of college or crusty incompetent assholes who are dumber than a creosote post and who have moved to middle management by the political appointees who actually run the agency.

Notorious Mexican drug lord's wife has twins in Lancaster

Emma Coronel, the 22-year-old American wife of "one of history’s biggest and most sought-after drug lords," Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, had the babies at Antelope Valley Hospital on Aug. 15. The birth certificates leave blank the name of the father, but of course the girls are now Americans by birth.

Guzman, 54, the multibillionaire fugitive head of the Sinaloa cartel, married Coronel the day she turned 18 at a lavish wedding in the highlands of central Mexico in 2007. She is believed to be his third or fourth wife and is a niece of Ignacio “Nacho” Coronel, a one-time partner of Guzman who was killed in July 2010 in a shootout with the Mexican army.

U.S. federal agents apparently kept tabs on Emma Coronel even before she crossed the border at Calexico, through her hospital stay and until she left the country to return to Mexico. Although her husband tops most-wanted lists on both sides of the border, Coronel was not arrested because there are no charges against her, the law enforcement official said.

What's really Orwellian about this is whole thing is that, unlike most petty political squabbles, people have actually died as a result of this preposterous plan to curtail our 2nd Amendment rights.

Let's really absorb that for a minute.  People have died.  As a result of an intentional policy.  By our government.  For no other reason than to limit our 2nd Amendment Constitutional rights.  And they're still trying!  "Our inability ..."

And yet our fellating, sycophantic media is so deeply invested in defending this man merely  because he is a black liberal that even with this transgression there is no widespread outrage or momentum to boot him out of office, or even really investigate what's happened here.

To the contrary, they are doing everything humanly possible to try to just make it go away, as if it's no big or something.  Can you freakin' imagine how many special investigations these bastards, these MFing prostitutes for the Democratic Party, would have launched against a Republican if he had done something like this?

130 "To the contrary, they are doing everything humanly possible to try to just make it go away, as if it's no big or something." IMO, that is why the timeline is so important. The plan is preposterous regardless of the ordering, but people are not comfortable believing in the level of malice required to cook-up the entire program from scratch. It is a fingers-in-ears-la-la-la-la response. On the other hand, if it is presented as: 1. Project Gunrunner smuggling sting/interdiction program starts under GWB 2. Obama takes office and Clinton pushed 90% lie without expecting to get called on it 3. About three months later, Fox News calls out the 90% lie 4. Six or more months after that, somebody at ATF, DoJ, or the White House gets the bright idea to let a few guns slip through the Gunrunner program to bolster the 90% lie It's more about incompetence and indifference than it is about wanting to see hundreds of Mexicans and a couple of US law enforcement officers dead.

136 The MFM will portray any Republican candidate as stupid; it's the template.

I find it passing curious that the other candidates, aside from Perry, are going soft on Romney. And the silence of the MFM on Romney is passing curious as well.

I could see Bachmann and Santorum acting as attack dogs -- the way Huckabee did against Romney for Landslide McCain last time around -- in exchange for positions in Romney's cabinet. But if Bachmann was holding out for a gig as HHS Secretary under Romney, she probably blew her chances by overplaying the Tardasil card.

The establishment GOP doesn't like Romney, but without Mitch Daniels in the race, but they'll settle for him since he doesn't seem like he's going to rock the boat too much. The Conservative Base doesn't like Romney because he won't rock the boat, but they dislike the SCOAMF more. #150, yeah and now I can't get that tune out of my head!! Yes, deeply troubled on many levels! I should have used Hangzhou (hang-zyou) for a really penetrating mind drill. I think I hear Patty Page....

147 My grudging support for Perry is based almost entirely on the fact that he is not Romney.  If Cain can get some momentum going and show good numbers in a real poll.....

148 123 OT, but does anyone know where I can find a North Face jacket and are they available online?

Posted by: USA at September 27, 2011 08:56 AM (6Cjut)

I assume you mean the denali?  Here's the link to North Face.  Be advised though, they are now all made of recycled material.  I have one from years ago that was new material but my friends tell me that the new ones don't feel or wear any different.  All of the online sporting goods retailers have them.  google:  North Face Denali Fleece + either male/female/boy/girl + on sale and all the sales will come up.  If you want coupons to go with your sale google:  the store you want to buy this at + coupons and promotional codes and just before final checkout there will be a place to add the code.  Sometimes they let you stack free shipping and the code with a discount.

they wash great but one caveat, do not use fabric softener with them.

Regarding the sex shows at the frat, I can assure you that no animals, okay, relatively few animals were harmed, okay, seriously harmed during any of these sex shows.

152 AOS morons are are tough crowd. One or two perceived slip ups and out the door you go. Perry led the August Poll at 76%. Cain has already quadrupled his votes since that poll.
