BOA will start charging me $5/month this weekend to use debit card
They blame the communists and their law changes. They are already hitting the merchants up for a fee in using these cards. I guess I will have to reassess BOA. Wells Fargo has recently opened new offices here. I used them when I was in CA.

I love the article but take exception to the first sentence:
If you studied logic in high school, you probably learned about a style of argument called "reductio ad absurdum."
Logic in High School???? Maybe in the 40s. But sure as hell not now. I even doubt that most colleges teach it now.

Lemme see -- am I going to listen to Herman Cain, successful businessman and mathematician (that's a condensed version of his resume) or Byron York, blogger and (maybe) student of English?
Yeah, that's a tough call. I think I'll go with York. Right after I heed Ed "Poppin' Fresh" Morrissey's call to "respect [Osama] Obama's 'personhood.'"

The plastic media face of Mr. Nice Guy, Mitt Romney, who can't hit a moving target but claims to "hunt" varmints, sneered at Mrs. Perry after Rick said that she supported his decision (made it for him) to join the potus race in order to fulfill duty to country.
So the Mr. Patriotic campaign that respects women, sacred families, service to country (evading military service, promoting his own campaign as his sons' service to country), blah blah apple pie, decides to target her as a nagging nitwit who should stfu. And the best the British press can say on her behalf is that she's being used by her husband to "humanise" his image.
Mr Perry had embarked on "a careless candidacy prompted by his wife" and campaign consultants. Mrs Perry, however, is seen by the Perry campaign as a major asset and is being used to help introduce him to voters and "humanise" him

Good for you
It's time we start thinking a little bit like liberals in this regard, they make politically motivated spending decisions with their money (i.e., refusing to shop at Walmart, etc.)
They go way overboard and turn every spending decision into a political decision, but it doesn't hurt for us to do so for the important items that truly matter, like not rewarding the big bank bailouts with our money.
I refuse to do business with Citibank, Chase, BOA, Wells Fargo, etc., etc.
The only exception is my HSA account with Chase, over which I have no control. If it were up to me I'd move it in a heartbeat.
I also refuse to buy Chevy, GM, Chrysler, etc.
I don't turn the purchase of every apple into an angst-filled decision-making paralysis but for the big things we should definitely vote with our wallets.

Romney was always a snake, and he is just being Romney. Perry seems upstanding, and I like that. Huckabee, another snake, will probably endorse Romney. IMO, that is just another reason to dislike Huckabee-and Fox. The only people on Fox who seem to be for Perry are the intelligent people. Eric Bolling, Andrea Tanteros, and Gasperino all seem like Perry people from what I can tell.

According to anonymous sources with knowledge of the case being cited, the staunchly anti-US leftist strongman since 1999 Chavez went into the Military Hospital. "He was in fairly serious overall condition. When he arrived, he was in quite serious shape and that is why he was brought in for emergency care." [unnamed sources] Information Minister Andres Izarra denied the report, threatening to commit publishing reporters to the insane asylum. The silver lining? A meeting between Chavez and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad set for this weekend in Caracas was postponed indefinitely.

Does anyone know what happens to the Obama campaign donations after the election, if he loses, and there is money left over?
I've been trying to figure out why he would act so stupidly regarding his administration and campaign, if he is in such bad shape (and they know it). It is almost like they don't even want to win, they just want to gen up as much leftist hatred as they can muster.
What if he knows he is going to lose, so is instead taking actions (like continuing DOE loans) that will maximize his donations (pay to play)? That he is trying to get as much money in the bank as he can, before he loses in 2012?
What happens to that money, if he loses?

Left over money from political donations must either be spent on campaign debts, donated to other politicians for campaigns (what most of them do), or donated to charity. (I think they can also give it back to the donors but that is virtually impossible)

So far for the year, 19.38 inches has fallen in the area. That's 16.93 inches below the average. The drier conditions have led to the spread of wildfires across the state.

The funny thing about how freaking hot it was this summer is that it wasn't very humid. (which means 20-30 % humidity instead of 60% or more) We've had to get used to the humidity again this month.
I hope that in the next couple months we all stop flinching at the words "summer" or "hot weather".

The check was drawn on the college's BOA account but they refused to cash it because she didn't have an account there. I left there calling them every name in the book.

Postal Union using thug tactics on the Tea Party? ....Maybe Sarah Palin can call them her "brothers and sisters" again, and get them to stop.
Trumka must be smiling about this. ....It is sickening that the Postal Union is a part of the AFL-CIO.

46 ...Romney should STFU about Perry's wife. And it's particularly cowardly to do it by having your campaign operatives spread that shit.
What? ....What are they saying about Perry's wife?

My advice to Morons anticipating the ordeal--schedule for a morning exam if at all possible. Most of the time you would be starving you're asleep (just remember to have a sturdy pillow cover so you don't eat it in your dreams). Jello is not food, and all the good flavors are forbidden--but you can get unflavored gelatin, margarita mix, and tequila. I'm sure you know what to do from there. Saved my life...
