Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery, Vic. There aren't enough Morons as it is...

If you added training wheels, maybe Barky could handle this (as long as he didn't have to go under an arch), even though he is a stuttering CF of a miserable failure.
Note: It really doesn't have the same ring when you don't spell it out!

But the privileged class made him do it. He probably had inadequate health care insurance and had to work off the books for less than minimum wage.
Not to joke about this, this is another tragedy for our serving men and women. God bless their families and may the injured recover fully and quickly!
Posted by: Hrothgar at September 07, 2011 03:33 AM (i3+c5)
all you can do is engage in gallows humor....
it is a travesty that we don't allow concealed carry holding service members to engage in their right to carry....
if the gungrabbers try to use this tragedy to go after legal gunowners we should probably push back and pressure barry to override command on allowing troops to go armed.

It is the politicians in the command chain (O-6 and above) that follow their leader Barry on this. Good luck on getting a gun grabbing Dem or RINO to back an individual right of self defense for the troops! They are barely allowed to fire back overseas at known hostiles without consulting a JAG lawyer!

The description I read of the IHOP shooting was that it started with "8 seconds of automatic fire". Can an AK-47 do that without being modified?
..............
Hurry back, Vic. We miss your morning news!

Republican presidential contenders who regard global warming as a hoax do not offer the leadership that the nation needs.

A crazy-ass malicious bastard from Mexico makes his way through our government's social justice legal system to boast US citizenship before deciding to take out "the enemy" being typical American citizenry.
We should consider the spins the MFM will concoct against the Tea Party for triggering this murderer's outrage since the Hoffa and Obama Labor public hate speech are irrelevant.
What is this gunman's personal history in the Labor movement? And what brushes with Mexican Cartels has he?

Like taking our light bulbs away so all of the new light bulbs will be made in China. Cause, you know, we don't import enough stuff from China.
Didn't the NYT back Obama in the last election? Shows what the f*ck they know about leadership.

an AK-class weapon can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger...add in a hellfire trigger and it is functionally an automatic....
people get excited when they hear rapidfire and can mistake quick fire for fullauto/burst....that said earwitnesses include professional military so the truth will out.

If Vic had anything like what I am familiar with (and I think his problem may be worse), it is several days until you get off the major pain-killers enough to even sound like your un-medicated self and days more before you can simply move without considerable pain and inconvenience.
Prayers and patience are a prudent course of action for now.

My excuses are incompetence, lack of caffeine, the dog ate my Drudge Report, and the early hour. Will that do?
Sorry for the glaring error, and thanks for the correction.
He will be able to find a lot of lawyers to talk to down there, so there's that.

Obama's administration won't prosecute Hassan if doing nothing and kicking Hassan's ass down the road is an option. The wheels of justice are stuck in PC mire.
To date, the bipartisan agenda has been to enact laws not observed by authorities while refusing to enforce and execute long established laws.
There is great concern requiring public attention when our government uses crises (created more often than not by official policy) to abscond further with even more illegitimate powers to abuse against the citizens. Aside from the constitutional right of US citizens to own/carry firearms (had bystanders been armed, the murderer would have speedily met true social justice by his peers), if and when the federal authorities finally respond to "fix" their failing policy, it will be overkill. Rather than allowing military personnel to carry personal firearms, there'll be a new law that leaves the Posse Comitatus Act impotent. Never waste a crisis.
Again, The thug is aware that loudness convinces sixty persons where reasoning convinces but one.

Well, I pray and hope he has a speedy recovery. We just played a great event that had its third annual happening. It's called "Great Day To Be Alive" (after the song). The prime mover of the event had that surgery. While recovering he came up with the idea. Three years in a row now we've raised a little over $10K for a local hospital. He's still going strong, too.
We played at the Eagles club. The members there are classic, salt-of-the-Earth folks. Lots of them are veterans, too.

That's right. And also recall how important staying calm and sleeping peacefully matters when the body is attempting to heal.
Our predicament remains; there's nothing like current events to upset a well man's bowels.
Posted by: maverick muse at September 07, 2011 04:19 AM (lpWVn)
Not that it will ever happen (thanks in no small part to the 52%), but it might be a great idea to begin enforcing existing laws before any new ones can be passed. That and adding a sunset provision to all existing laws.

I just had an ugly thought: Is Hassan's trial being delayed so that BO can issue a presidential pardon after the election and before the death sentence can be carried out? I don't know if tha t is possible or not, but it would certainly fit BOs pattern- a big FU on his way out of the office.

To call the President by his name, Barack Hussein Obama, is equal to all the cuss words on the planet sez the MFM. You are a very low class, racist name calling pos.
Wonder what other insane bits of information we will be subject to today. Maybe the word "black" will be out-lawed. Maybe "hope&change" will be frowned on. Oh, and you must never, ever say "stimulus". That would be mean, cruel, and racist.

Personally, I have thought that for some time now, especially for small animals and hobos !
Posted by: Hrothgar at September 07, 2011 04:42 AM (i3+c5)
Precisely.
But again, governing officials decided to create the mother of all clusterfucks by NOT enforcing existing laws, and by rescinding those laws that inhibited their ability to fuck us over leaving us as rag dolls rotting as refuse.
Recall the REPUBLICAN legislation during Clinton's administration. The Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLB), also known as the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999, that finished off the DEMOCRAT legislation during FDR's administration, repealed part of the Glass–Steagall Act of 1933, opening up the market among banking companies, securities companies and insurance companies. The Glass–Steagall Act that established the FDIC prohibited any one institution from acting as any combination of an investment bank, a commercial bank, and an insurance company. The Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act allowed commercial banks, investment banks, securities firms, and insurance companies to consolidate. --wikipedia
It only took a decade for the Republican coordinated consolidated financial industry to completely wreck the global economy, to the point now that sovereign national status is no longer recognized by globalist banks, the UN, and the US government.
Note the Republican Party evolution given that "In 1940 the Republican party presented itself as the party that was against centralized power, against militarism and foreign meddling, against Communism; it was for local control, individual liberty and the pioneer spirit." (The New York Times Magazine, December 6, 1970, "From Far Right to Far Left — and Farther — With Karl Hess," By James Boyd. James Boyd, a freelance writer, was executive director of the Fund for Investigative Journalism in Washington, D.C.)

Republican Bob Turner has landed the backing of a long-serving Democratic assemblyman who carries major clout in the Orthodox Jewish community.
Assemblyman Dov Hikind will cross party lines to endorse Turner Wednesday in New York's special election to replace former Rep. Anthony Weiner, Turner's campaign announced Tuesday.

It provides a vent. But admit that it will work you up getting in "discussion" given our nation's current state of affairs.

Posted by: Hrothgar at September 07, 2011 08:19 AM (i3+c5)
Give that man a cee-gar. I definitely think all money-specific laws need sunset provisions of very small range. Like three years.
Nearly all other laws could use some provision that kicks them into "sunset" territory. Like if a blue law goes unenforced (no LEO's collar anyone for them) for six years, they should just evaporate. If a special department is created, it better be gone in ten years, tops, and the buildings sold.
Posted by: K~Bob at September 07, 2011 04:47 AM (Zub8W)
It sounds logical until you think about a concerted bipartisan policy to NOT enforce a "good" law in order to leave it in the dust of extinction. When the Constitution itself is not enforced, we're where we are now.
