Jane, I fully expect flying will be a pain, but whatever. We are flying into Newark. They screen pretty well on return lag. A month ago they thought a salami from Zabars was a bottle of water. Hubby got the full screening and they thought I was fine for some reason (it was his bag). Very nice guys overall, all things considered.

I am a wee bit more concerned about subways/trains this trip, but not that worried. You don't typically see mooslems on subways, only as taxi drivers. We had one actually let us off a few blocks from the theater to pray a few years ago. We let him as I left my bazooka at home, but we did some eye rolling and did not tip well. They are rude yaks with cabs smelling like old shrimp boats. One guy from Nigeria and I got into a heated debate one time about George Bush, and I defended Bush without blinking. Surprisingly the guy listened (he thought Clinton was the best). Now I would know better, as husband holds breath that I don't get involved (we rode a train with a bunch of union thugs in NYC and he was totally relieved I kept quiet).

No doubt, tomorrow even the local small airport will be a mess. We always have great timing. Flew out of Denver right before the jackass that started all the liquid stuff (we had two fifth of Junipero Gin...one in checked and one in carry one). I guess I would have had alcohol poisoning before 9am.
