— Open Blogger Here's the first paragraph - read the whole thing at this link.
The Economy: "Make no mistake about it - we must have critical new investment and government priming to free us from the Bush recession. Therefore, if America is willing to embrace such Keynesian spending, I will promise to keep our unemployment rate below 10 percent, while my team borrows no more than an additional $5 trillion for new shovel-ready stimulus. I envision our national debt rising to no more than $16 trillion over my tenure. I also promise to take over any corporation that explores bankruptcy as a way to default on what it owes its union members and pensioners, who will always have a higher claim than any creditors or Wall Street speculators. I have already talked of spreading the wealth; but as president I promise to extend food stamps to more Americans than at any time in history."

Yeah, verily ... but a doctor can only kill one patient at a time. An ATC can boff off an entire flight.

..........
They don't look at it that way.. As a matter of fact, they think anyone voting against the Dems is "voting against one's own self interests".
To them, it's just grab what you can while the free stuff is flowing.

Ease into it, big fella. Your audience is one loving spoonful away from a frontal lobotomy.

And the thing is, there's no huge skill involved here. A couple weeks training and an average person would know everything there is about the job.

The economic pump won't prime? Maybe it needs needs new leathers or a complete rebuild. We can pour all the money in the world down this leaky econ pump and it will never prime.
But since these bastards in DC have never lived in the real word they wouldn't know that.

COA 1: Military coup...followed by the dissolution of the United States, initiation of nuclear strikes on our primary hostile sovereign debtholders coupled with renunciation of all federal debt, seizure of all major oil fields in the Mideast, and establishment of reeducation camps for the Washington/Manhattan axis.
COA 2: Do nothing...and the nation is overrun by debt/hyperinflation, the older set continues its capital harvesting from the productive younger generations, and the nation is beset by madness as Obama continues his hourly assault on rationality and propriety.
Maybe it's a false dichotomy, but I wish there were an inkling of support for COA 1.
