OT, no sooner had NYC cleaned out Zuccotti Park, than the OWS knotheads lawyered up and got an injunction from Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lucy Billings to let em back in. Bloomberg says he'll go to court and fight it.
Unsurprisingly, Justice Lucy Billings was an ACLU lawyer for 25 years. Knock me over with a feather.

I understand the liberals and union-types being all-in for OWS; it is a perfect warmup for what they intend to unleash on us in '12.
My beef is with the "conservatives" who have treated this as something amusing (comments about "feeelthy heeepees," letting the protestors stay where they are to ensure liberal defeat next year, and so on). Mikey Bloomberg, the Oakland City Council and the rest of the enablers should not have been allowed to give the protesters free reign; there are enough documented instances of crimes being committed and the rights of private citizens being taken away to merit strong police action in the opening days of this crap.
By "tolerating" OWS and its enablers, we have legitimized it. I'm afraid we have let the malignant genie out of the bottle, and will have a hell of a rough time getting it back in.
Look at not just the face of OWS but the underlying aspects of it and it's hard not to feel that the rule of law is being eroded at a dangerously rapid pace.

Honestly, the owner of the park (some corporation or other?) is at least partially to blame. They should be in court demanding that their private property rights be respected. At the moment, it's just the OccuTards vs. the Police, and the the park is not public property. As long as the owner stays silent, it's more difficult for the police actually to do anything.
Now, Nanny Bloomberg and the others are, indeed, making things worse by pandering to/enabling the OccuTards, but the owner of the park isn't helping matters either.

These are not poor women that live in trailers. I don't think it happens naturally; I think they actually have to try to look like that.I agree. No matter how attractive/unattractive you may be, it doesn't take a great amount of effort to at least look decent. As noted, these are not poor women. There's a ton that can be done with haircut and some very basic makeup to make the most of what looks you do have.
I'll be honest, most of the poor women who live in trailers that I've known were perfectly aware and capable of making the most of their looks with basically no money. There's no excuse for someone who can drop dime to not look her best.

@ChadPergram Lawmakers release conference report on spending measure. All but one of 38 House and Senate conferees signed off on the package.
Also, as part of his plan, Rick Perry says to make Congress part-time. I am not sure how it would work given preset time frames for certain processes but it is an interesting idea.

The biggest problem would be showing the budget process into a 6-month time frame, especially if they were to adopt zero-based budgeting. I can see other committees having difficulty performing their duties as well and you would have a problem if Oversight needed to conduct an investigation. You would also have to fast-track votes on judicial and other nominees since they come-up throughout the entire year. So you would have to think of all possibilities before offering such a measure.

Still more grounds for arrest. A robust K-9 action would be highly effective here. Everyone is afraid of attack dogs, and fighting back against them is battery of a police officer. If you kill one it's the same as killing any other cop.

That's true, and I'd have to see the specifics of his proposal. Shoving the budget process into a 6-month time frame would probably be a mixed blessing, and I think most of the other committees are, largely, not required. The Oversight committee meetings might be a problem though.
It might be an interesting proposal to say that they could only be "in session" part time, but that committees could meet year-round.

I would combine certain committees and keep the most important ones (Ways and Means, Budget, Oversight, etc.) as is. With regards to your last, that would work if you allowed Congress to return to vote on the legislation passed out of those committees.
