— Ace I have addressed this in the comments before, because she's claimed this before. I never did a post about it, because it's too inside-baseball and personal crap. For a comment, fine. For a post? Um, I don't think so.
Plus, the schtick here (which I know people don't buy) is that I am some kind of out-of-control madman or something. Everyone knows this is false -- I'm a shy, RINO-ish shut-in -- but it is the schtick people pretend to believe, so previously I figured, "Hey, if she wants to play into that schtick, fine."
But Pam Geller is repeating the tale of how I, upon first meeting her at CPAC, said "Nice jugs" or something.
Didn't happen.
Here now the actual story.
It's long. But here it is. Part I.
First things first. Apparently I am a very forgettable guy but Ms. Geller seems to have entirely forgotten that CPAC 2007 was not the first time we'd met, so those could not have been my first words to her in the first place.
The Great KarolNYC used to throw blogger parties, when blogging was still new and exiting (and not old and yesterday's fad, as it is today), and I actually met Pam Geller at one of those.
I guess I failed to make an impression.
But I remember it. Basement bar, dark. Narrow corridor-like "bar area," hot, sweaty, probably late summer or early fall.
At that time, my blog was actually considered "big" (even though it was tiny, compared to today), and Pam Geller's blog was very small and also very new (even though it now draws more traffic than mine).
One thing I should say is that this is about the first time in my life I had people coming up to me, who I never met, and saying "Oh, you're Ace of Spades?," as if that were a good thing. Not a celebrity, of course, but this is the first time in my life that people who I didn't know seemed to know me, which was a strange thing I have never actually gotten used to. But at this time it was even stranger to me, so I tended to just react as I usually do when embarrassed or wrong-footed, which is just to sort of shut-down and and timidly smile.
At any rate, Pam Geller approached me, and gave me a hard-sell on her blog, about how great it was and how I should read it and link it. I meant no offense when I just said the typical "Oh sure I'll check that out," even though I probably wouldn't. I mean, you just say that.
I don't want to knock her for that, because self-promotion, and the natural lack of embarrassment of a born extrovert, is often very important in life, and it is a skill that some people have, and some people don't. I look at Sasha Baron Cohen -- Borat, Bruno -- as basically a man with superhero powers. I really do look at his gift as a superpower. I do not know how he has the guts, or total lack of self-consciousness, to pull the stunts he does, never flinching, never less than 100% confident in himself.
Now, that's a skill, and I won't knock it. But as I've said to another born extrovert and self-promoter -- Stace McCain -- natural introverts like myself don't really react well to that. We don't like getting attention -- a little bit, but not a lot. We feel weird and like frauds and we retreat from it.
The point is, for reasons that are not really Ms. Geller's fault at all, I just didn't take to her. No knock on her. It's what tends to happen with a big-personality extrovert buttons up an introvert. The introvert just feels uncomfortable.
Not her fault; not really my fault. I'm just shy. Meek, I hate to say, but it's true.
No one likes being meek. Especially men. And yet, I am.
I didn't cotton to her. I just didn't see any point of commonality between us and she didn't seem like the sort of person I'd cultivate as a friend or correspondent.
But apparently she got the impression from this that I didn't like her. I wouldn't really go that far, about saying I "disliked" her, because the actual emotion wasn't even that strong. Just more like one of the hundreds of people you might meet whom you simply don't click with.
You don't really actively, consciously dislike them. You just sort of fail to click with them, and have no interest in them.
I suppose that sounds insulting but it's not meant to be. For introverts, we're just sort of always vaguely embarrassed at public gatherings, and we really have to hit it off strongly with someone to start to gain social confidence and come out of our shells.
I realize this now sounds pretty insulting about myself, actually. Ah well. It is true. I am an abashed person who only begins to get cheerful and friendly when I've become comfortable, which either happens when I'm really digging someone or when I've become a bit drunk.
I don't know if this played into this at all, but I suspect it did: I think when I met her I was still suffering from untreated panic disorder. Two years before I had started suffering from social anxiety -- just felt uncomfortable and "trapped" in social situations, always looking for an excuse to get away (which leads to drinking and smoking more, because they are always good excuses to break away), and then that had progressed into full-on debilitating panic.
The whole reasons I started going to these meet-ups and parties was an attempt at self-treatment, forcing myself to confront the thing that gave me panic. I suppose it worked, slightly, but generally, I was still uncomfortable around people I'd just met, uncomfortable with people who seemed to know me (which I still think is odd), and the like.
So maybe Ms. Geller noticed I was uncomfortable in her presence and seeking to get away, and thought based on that I hated her or something.
In fact, that wouldn't be the case; I was uncomfortable in virtually everybody's presence.
So from our first meeting I suppose Ms. Geller thought I actively disliked her. I didn't. Not actively. Just sort of "meh."
Part II.
Now at CPAC in 2007 I ran into her again. Actually I'm sure I'd run into her several times before this, as we both went to KarolNYC's parties, but this is the meeting she seems to remember... poorly.
JackM. (the epic poem coblogger) met me out at CPAC. Romney was speaking; he wanted to see that.
At some point at night, I, JackM., and some other guy who I don't remember (Gay Patriot? Brian Faughan? No idea) were talking in a group of three.
Pam Geller came over, making it a quartet. We stood in a cross -- Pam and I were at North and South, JackM. and this Nameless Witness at East and West.
For a time we talked as a group, but at some point East and West began cross-talking, only to each other.
At this point Pam addressed me alone, trusting, I guess, that the other two wouldn't hear it, because they were engaged in their own discussion, or not caring if they heard or not.
She started venting at me angrily.
YOU ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM WITH ME, WHY?!
YOU NEVER LINK ME
and
YOU'VE ALWAYS HAD AN ATTITUDE ABOUT ME.
I deflected this, being surprised to be in the middle of Sudden Drama. I did not realize prior to this I was in a blog feud with her. True, I didn't link her, but I didn't link a lot of people. (Yeah, I'm bad at that; I'm no Instapundit.)
Anyway I made excuses or apologies about this (what I said, I don't remember). a
Eventually she said YOU CALLED ME ATLAS JUGGS, and I said no, I don't think I ever did, I think some commenters did, and she said WHY DO THEY CALL ME THAT and just trying to defuse this I said "I think they mean it in a good way, I think they just mean you have nice jugs."
Bear in mind, this is the woman who got attention by doing bikini videos and used to pass around business cards of her in a very very tight superman-style t-shirt, with her back arched so that her breasts strained through the fabric.
I don't intend that as a slam. It's just true. I suppose at some point I might have expressed annoyance at this, as many male bloggers did in the early days, and even since. If you know your blog history, you know that Wonkette and that gorrrrgeous chick at "Rocketboom" seemed to be getting a lot of attention on the basis of their gender, and their looks.
I have to split my rational and emotional sides here. Rationally, I can say "Good for them, everyone should use every advantage at their disposal!"
Emotionally, look, most male bloggers were annoyed. We all want attention and we all get pissy when someone else, not ourselves, gets it, for whatever reason. There was a saying, of course: Tits equal hits.
I don't remember ever actually attacking Geller, but I mention this because it's possible if you check the comments from years and years back, maybe I groused about it.
Hey, I grouse. But I don't do main posts about it. I mean, when I go after someone for real, I do like the Wonkette Sex For Money Skankathon. (Coincidentally, this was the night I met the actual female Wonkette -- she was nice about it, and claimed to have found that piece funny.)
So, there you go. This is the actual truth of the legend of the "first thing" I ever said to Pam Geller being "You have nice jugs."
Now in truth, I don't think much of her blog. I think she just puts up whatever crap comes by her transom with no skepticism applied to it. Every blogger knows we can get away with being wrong so long as our errors are believed to "help" the cause; people give us a break on this, because they know (or think) we're trying to help.
But you can take that to extremes. I have noticed, listening to that Art Bell show late at night (or whoever does it now), that people who are willing to believe tend to believe in everything -- that is, the people who believe in Area 51 also believe in Bigfoot and also believe in Pyramid Power and also believe in ghosts and also believe in Shadow People and also believe in faeries in the garden.
Geller is that type, as far as I'm concerned, the type of person who is voracious in her appetite to believe in things, and perfectly egalitarian in believing in them all, showing no discrimination among them.
She will never have credibility with me, especially not after the starring role she played in the risible Birth Certificate Conspiracy Fraud perpetrated on the conservative movement, which would up dividing the movement, and was also, in case it matters, always false and obviously so from the start.
I guess maybe I got that sense right off the jump. I don't know; I can't remember. I remember this stuff better than she does, as it turns out, but I can't claim it's occupied a central place in my memory. I know she seemed to be a little wild-eyed and true-believer-ish to me; maybe she picked up on that.
If so, I apologize. I didn't mean to broadcast it.
But, now looking at the Birth Certificate Conspiracy Fraud and the new crank claims about Rick Perry being a pro-shariah jihadi-supporter, I'd say my initial read was accurate.

Hmmm. A venerable blogger in my state got annoyed when I was posting too often at my blog...but I never let him knew that I knew. I don't even have big jugs, either.

Being a natural introvert myself, I know 'precisely' how it feels to be attacked by a socialite. My first reaction is, "Back off." My second is to snarl. Nothing strikes me as phony as the extreme extrovert, and Gellar's trait (which I've seen too), of taking anything she wants to talk about without criticism and making it into a Cat 5 blog war is the typical thing I hate about them.
I get attacked all the time for "Not being friendly," with such people. They don't like it when I say, "Be honest, and I'll be friendly."

Dennis the Peasant, one of the most ascerbic "small bloggers" out there, always thought that Ms. Geller, whom he was wont to call "Pammy -cakes", was one of the more stupid bloggers on the Right.
He also routinely riduculed Marc Ambinder, Amanda Marcotte, Matty Yglesias as being hit hard with the stupid stick.
Dennis is an old, fat unlovely man, who is kind of a proto-libertarian conservative, in that he made fun and criticized everyone who he thought was trying to harsh his mellow (and he really wasn't mellow) and freedom. He did appreciate good writing when he saw it, ridiculed bad thinking when he saw it (a lot), which included Pammy-cakes. I could never understand the attraction to her blog.
Sadly, Dennis has retired from blogging, but his site is still up, and some of the archived posts are pretty obnoxious and funny.

I was always attracted to the cute girls with glasses, and never to the real stunners. Sure, part of it was that I didn't have a chance with them, but part was that I usually didn't like them. Being drop-dead gorgeous seems to warp a person. They don't necessarily start out bad, but if a person doesn't have to try to be likeable, why bother, and most of them don't. Being beautiful really can be a disadvantage in some ways.

This crap with these two crapweasles and Perry's Dhimmi-tude is utter nonsense.
And to personally attack Ace when they got called on it, shows the lack of talent, creative thought, and balls they both lack.
Pam called Ace a misogynist over this once, I think the word she was looking for was "heterosexual".

I'm fairly introverted although most people who know me would think the opposite. I just have the ability to be ON when I'm among people.
I'm pretty much the same way. I can turn that off or on at will, but it wasn't always that way. Being a musician, you'd better be able to mingle and schmooze at a gig, but conversations tend to be rather shallow, because the vast majority of the people you meet, you will never see again. I always try to be cordial, but not too personal, IYKWIM.
However, I'd never have guessed from your excellent writing that you were basically an introvert, Ace. And about your panic problem, I've been there, too, as a result of enduring a lot of physical abuse during childhood, which, thankfully I've just about outgrown. It rears it's ugly head from time to time, but less so as the years progress.
I'm almost normal now. Almost...

Actuall Ace, just going on perceived personality types for her, its entirely possible that unless you are falling down fawning all over her she will think you're acting snotty to her. You know, she's just one of those people that has such a high opinion of themselves that if you don't just love them and show it then clearly there's something wrong with YOU and your attitude towards them. Something most people won't consider rude.

This lady that comments here occasionally, Ima Wurdibitch, has a picture of a corner of her face on her blog, and it is much more provocative than that silly exhibitionist Pam Geller. Because Ima Wurdibitch is clever and funny, without insisting on herself.

Let's face it, the right has some of the same "reservation" problems the left does - Spencer has treated terror apologists better than he treated you in that "response."

I'm also on the reserved side. My observation is that when you are one on one with someone who is really super extroverted, they sometimes become uncomfortable when someone does much more listening than talking, as opposed to trying to talk over them, finish sentences, wait for them to finish so you can jump in, etc.
I sometimes think they feel they are being judged. Anyway, I've had people like his talk to me later and I hear the "When I forst met you I thought you didn't like me, were stuck up, etc., etc."

And really, who cares if Ace said "nice jugs" or not? Such playground insults between the two are simply ridiculous. Besides, even if Ace didn't say that, his reputation is not helpful in convincing people he is in the right (Rubio/Ewok jokes, pudding jokes, etc...)

Like many of you, I did a ton of reading of different websites after 9/11 related to Islam and the war on terror. I remember coming across Geller's picture in the Supergirl outfit and I've been to her site a handful of times, but there was never anything I ever strayed across that made it a go-to resource for me.
Does tits necessarily mean hits when it comes to blogging? If I'm in the mood and suddenly interested in seeing tits on the internet, I know where to find them. But if I'm keeping tabs on Islam, a few pictures of Pam's breasts aren't going to keep me going back to her site just because she has big breasts.
She'd need to have more breast content, added daily. Whipcream. Kittens batting them around. Toy cars racing around them. Girlfriends. Golden lassos in keeping with the superhero themes. Put glasses and wigs on them and put on puppet shows..

Ace, this is was a great post. Really, fantastic. Not because of the Gellar stuff, but the stuff about being an introvert. I remember reading a post at Samizdata making similiar points about this (I can't remember who wrote it exactly) but one other thing they mentioned is that with extroverts, socialization energizes them. Meeting people is its own reward. Introverts, we get tired. Meeting people saps energy. At some point a guy like me has to say, "World! Go away!" Then I must retire and recharge my batteries. Yet some people find tht offensive.

Geller and Jihad Watch need to realize there is other stuff going on in the world not associated to radical islam. While it is and should be a concern, can I ask a practical question of them?
If Perry is too buddy buddy with Islam, what other viable candidate exists that isn't?
I'm guessing if you delve into Romney's background you would find out that he was involved with someone who was involved with someone who was a radical muslim. Same with Bachmann.

Spencer's defense of Geller's statements was weak and IMO Stein took him down without much effort. I get that Spencer's a personal friend of hers and wants to defend her, but I have a lot more respect for him than I do for her and its disappointing to see him engaging in CJ-esque innuendos and guilt by association. I expect this from Pam Geller and rarely read her stuff as a result. She's always struck me as a Marat-wanna-be. She's far too eager to find traitors to the cause. Stein's spot on when he says that she's a liability to her own cause and those like Spencer who defend her.
A presidential candidate can't afford to take Spencer's approach (essentially that Islam itself needs radical reform) without the media making them sound like a wingnut. I've taken the time to read Spencer's books and I generally agree with him, but a ten second sound-bite doesn't give a candidate like Perry the time to lay out even 1% of the necessary context to justify that position. Ask Herman Cain how well his superficially anti-Muslim comments have played out for his campaign.

Wow, the pejoratives were an indication to me right away that he had no argument, and he doesn't. I have never seen Spencer do that before.
He argues that the "curriculum was taken down" and that that's a smoking gun. The rest of the essay is just nonsense, innuendo and guilt-by-association, which I would have previously thought was beneath Spencer. This is the worst:
Actually, I said "something like" this:
"I am not entering into partnership with the Aga Khan. If I were, I
would certainly vet him thoroughly first, and Perry should have." Is
that "He's the governor, he should have known"?
Yeah, Robert, but YOU are the expert on jihadism. The governor's just a...governor. He doesn't have extra-special powers and spends a lot less time covering Islam than you do. You are the one who should be warning him.

I think most 'introverts' are just people who are smart enough to have figured out that the majority of our species suck....and so being around them sucks......and so they find that they are more comfortable not subjecting themselves to all that suckage, any more than they have to.
Being a fairly recent wader into the blogosphere as a whole, I don't know much about any of this stuff....and have felt like a kid in a candy store finding out that there are so many conservative blogs, at all...... Most of my internet usage in the past has been for shopping/News/email service, in that order. Don't have a lot of time for it, sadly, and I know that I am hopelessly ignorant of what has gone on before.
So I appreciate the backstory, Mr. Ace.....It takes big ones to put yourself out there like that. Being a newbie to all this, I would have never have known any of that.
Having stumbled onto Geller's blog a few times, I enjoyed just reading through some of it and was glad that someone was blogging about the jihad stuff. Carry on ....Beyond that, I didn't linger there....or feel compeled to comment. Not sure why, it just didn't grab me. Haven't been back.
Reading referrences made on other blogs, to 'Ace' is what finally made me do a search and find this place. And I am so glad I did....This place rocks! I am grateful that it is here.
Anyone who thinks that Rick Perry is any sort of 'dhimmi' is seeing dhimmis under their bed.

First meeting:
Geller: So you're Ace of Ace of Spades (I'm hot, you're going to hit on me)
Ace: Yeah. (does the hotel cable have the SYFY channel?)
Said hitting on does not happen. Next meeting:
Geller: Why don't you link to me!!ELEVENTY! (I'm hot, why are you not fussing over me and hitting on me??? ELEVENTY)
Ace: Um.... (does the hotel cable have the SYFY channel?)
Geller: You must hate me!! (DAMMIT I'M HAWT, WHY ARE YOU NOT BEGGING ME FOR SEX ??)
Ace: Umm... (suddenly deciding that MSNBC would be better than time with crazy chick at party.)
She wanted to be fussed over. She is an extrovert.
You did not fuss over anyone. You are an introvert.
I suspect she is consciously or unconsciously mad you did not fuss over her and at least hit on her to boost her ego.
My guess is that your thought was just get through said event without a mishap, and did not fuss over anyone or hit on them.
IMHO.

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Spencer seems rational. Geller is not. To go after Ace is something that either a "boyfriend" or "wanna be boyfriend" would do.
And it reeks of "Charles Johnson" like desperation. Which is sad, because I used to "respect" Spencer.

I second Guy Fawkes.
Dave Chapelle used to do a bit on this in his old stand up routine.
Women can dress like whores but they shouldn't be surprised when men treat them as such. It would be like if I dressed up like a cop and then when you got robbed and came running toward me and told me your story only for me to respond, "how dare you! Just because I'm dressed like a cop does not mean...."

Pam Geller is no crazier that that radical Debbie Schlussel. I am sure they are friends. Debbie published the same Salon generated article and then went absolutely ballistic on anyone who questioned her. Hell, another blogger got personal emails from her that were so vile they were unbelieveable.
Geller is doing nothing but dragging Spencer down with her. Too bad he didn't research CJ's blog numbers after CJ got into a blog war with a couple of other bloggers. Now he is pimping for readers, and not too successfully. Check out the number of responses Ace gets compared to Geller and Spencer combined. They are barking up the wrong tree and sound waaaaay too defensive. Not a good sign.
When you have to say " Well, yes, I said that but that is not what I meant." you have already lost the argument. Geller and Spencer need to go get a cold one and chill out. They are not going to win this.

Large is too often confused with well-shaped. I have done quite a bit of informal research on the topic and have discovered that there are certain curves that are common to all well-shaped breasts. These curves are independent of size. In addition, the relationship between the upper curve and the lower curve is also important and common to all well-shaped breasts. That's why enhanced breasts will never beat the real thing.

Also, as my friend Big Daddy said on FB,
Robert Spencer and Pamelluh Gellur are now on the rampage against my friend David Stein, Ace and the crew from Ace of Spades HQ (a damn fine blog, I must say), and RedState (another blog I enjoy). When not calling Rick Perry pro-sharia, they attack Ace for enjoying beer and nice racks and using the word "fuck." It's wrong to cuss, drink booze, and appreciate a great set? That sounds so . . . Islamic.
(Misspelling intentional, obviously, since it bothered Spencer so much. LOL)
What really bothers me about this whole "stealth jihad Perry" BULLSHIT is it makes me question whether that Ground Zero mosque asshole really is as bad as they say. If they're making Rick Perry out to be a "stealth jihad" candidate, maybe that imam isn't as bad as they said? And see, I totally supported them in that GZ thing. If it makes me question it, what about everyone else? What about all the other stuff they talk about? (Nevermind the birther shit, that's run of the mill crazy.) They're discrediting everything else, even the stuff that maybe shouldn't be discredited. And if you take exception to their smears, you're "juvenile," a "liar," a "dhimmi," etc. Or my favorite, the Perry Mafia. LMFAO Whatever. They're clearly nuts.

My college, Texas A&M, required public speaking class. My class was at 8 AM. I tried the whiskey shot thing before my speeches, but I think all it did was make my eyes bloodshot. Being an introvert sucks sometimes.

See, I can stand up in front of people and make a speech or presentation. No problem. I'm actually really good at it. It's being out in a social (vs. academic or business) setting that is murder. Sitting at a crowded bar, next to a cutie who looks like she'd love to talk. I can't say anything, 'cause I don't know what to say.

Scylla and Charybdis!
Ace, I hear you about being an introvert. I have Avoidant Personality Disorder, which pretty much is an extreme form of introversion. (I also have a huge anxiety about noise, but that's less relevant). Your instincts about treatment are correct -- the only way to combat introversion and social anxiety are simple exposure to people, while at the same time making sure that you have a way to escape when it gets to be too much for you. The more social you are, the easier it is to be social, no matter how painful it is at first. You're never going to be a social butterfly but you don't have to be a shut-in either. Life is a balance.
As to Pam Geller...she does good work on various aspects of islamism and has some guts. I also like that she pisses Chaz Johnson off. But the overreaction gets old pretty quickly. I like the cool ewok irony much better, which is why I was happy to find the HQ soon after abandoning LGF.

I hate taking the middle position but here it goes. It seems to me that a jihad expert had said this guy was ok. Said governor trusts this guy to develop a curriculum. Jihad experet guy finds objectionable material and shoots off about it but then gets slapped with hey, you once said the guy was ok. Instead of saying I was mistaken the volume gets turned up. At this point I do think it's a fair point to say the good material is not the official curriculum but even if the official stuff stinks, there is apparently nothing preventing a teacher from doing as they please even if it is properly critical of radical Islam though of course not perfect enough for jihad experts.
Sorry to interrupt the foreplay

This. And the first basic psychological coping technique is avoidance.
And that delays learning what to do with social situations.
Which makes them awkward. Which makes them unpleasant. So you avoid them.
Vicious cycle.
Also what was said earlier about some people "gaining energy" or feeling energized by social interaction and others feeling drained. I "recharge" alone.

I'm not an introvert at all. However, I'm not wild about people so I don't try to draw their attention. I'd rather be in my head. So that involves being sorta arrogant looking because I don't want to start anything? It drove my mother nuts---"You need to be nicer!" But the people will feel free to talk to me about stuff I don't want to talk about! Maybe that does make me an introvert--but I don't have any trouble starting a conversation.

Heh, while I'm writing here, I have "1000 Ways to Die" playing in the background. In one of these episodes, the show described a woman who got "augmented" in order to pursue a career as a stripper err... erotic dancer. However, she went to a quack doctor and her breast implants were only a step or two up from water balloons.
She loved the attention her new implants were getting until she got on a plane and realized why you don't go cheap and easy on breast implants. Her faux implants expanded on the plane due to the gases in the implants and eventually exploded from her chest once the plane reached cruising attitude.

Oh, I don't think you hate people. I don't think any of us really do. That's the the armor we wear for reasons outlined in the thread above.
Libs love "humanity" but hate people. (Which is one of the reasons their "arguments" consists primarily of insults.)
Conservatives like "people" individually (and are quite warm to those they take to) but hate "humanity" as a concept.

Non-Introvert, here. But now I know why so few of you Morons & Moronettes have ever mentioned being in a band or doing any performance-related stuff.
I'm also total-geek when it comes to computers, which probably explains why I get along with introverts. I don't know very many computer-geek extrovert rock-band musicians, because we're not that common. Think Thomas Dolby for one, maybe those Propellerheads guys for another. At least that's music.
Me, I play classic rock, and have no problem being up there with punkers, country dudes, Buddy Guy type Bluesmen, New Orleans and Zydeco bon temps rollers, bluegrass pickers, and Lynrd Skynrd types. Even polka (if there's beer). I dig it all, and I'll sing anything.
Now that I think on it, this also explains why I'm always the one who has to debug people's sound reinforcement problems. It's a lot like computer stuff, and hard rock types who do computers are hard to find. I thought there'd be more PA-geeks in the world of rock. There really aren't.
I'll be retiring from that life, though. Now I'll be doing executive-producer type stuff for Jazz-boy and other people. Nothing major. Yet. Still doing the geek thing, so this is one of my haunts.
Back on topic, didn't we have a spate of threads a few years ago where the 'roons were making up "true stories" about Pam overhearing them and getting angry?

I love you Ace, but for all your brilliance, you can be really, really stupid. You don't read Geller's blog, yet you attack he as being undiscerning, without ever having bothered to actually witness her judgment. And get off the "meek" schtick. You are geing aggressively asinine.
On Perry and the Agha Khan, you ought to be disgusted that ANY Islamic religious leader was able to introduce an Islamic curriculum into Texas schools. Instead you coo over some modest admissions that the Islamic world has been relatively backwards in recent centuries, and somehow you MISS all the glowing things the teacher's curriculum teaches about Muhammad, things which WERE quoted by Geller on her blog, even as you say "read the whole thing, read the whole thing," suggesting to your readers that you are presenting a representative sample.
Geller is an indispensible figure because she is BRAVER than you and Allahpundit and the other conservative bloggers who are always looing for figures on the right to distance themselves from, to show how reasonable they are in comparison. Well, you're much better than Allahpundit, but its a base instinct in any degree. Pamela separates herself for cause, not to be politic. In that she is far BETTER than you. But you are glad to attack her with no understanding of or regard for her worth. Before you attack a fellow conservative, you need to exercise some due diligence, instead of leading with bile, then admitting in a postscript that you aren't actually up to speed on the issue yet. You are in the wrong here my friend, and you ought to stop being defensive about it.

Some people are introverted, some are extroverted, chicks have boobs, and guys aren't supposed to. Does that cover it?

This is exactly what I was talking about when I said most women don't understand male/female relationships.

IMO, a man isn't a real man unless he takes a look. I'll usually say something like "she's pretty, huh?" and grin at him. It will usually earn me a big kiss.

Then we went back inside, where she shot daggers of death at Jheka the rest of the evening. Months later, I asked him about that when we were out drinking. He said it had to do with him complementing her on her body once. Yup, the same woman who, as Ace pointed out, had used her body early on to sell her blog, turned into an angry proto-feminist who felt any man was demeaning her intellect/accomplishments/etc. if you pointed out her sex appeal.
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Indeed.

Ace sounds like a young man I'd love to take under my wing. *dodges dirty looks from D'oh*

I know that Robert probably likes those juggs, but he was a wealth of information. Is he wrong too?

I have to agree about Geller. At first, I found her willingness to stand up against political correctness very refreshing, but it soon became apparent that she has no powers of discrimination. It is all black and white with her. I get into quite a few discussions on Irshad Manjii's Facebook page and the Geller types stuck out like a sore thumb. They lumped Manjii in with the Jihadists just because she is a Muslim, not seeming to notice that she is a huge critic of the Jihadist strain in Islam. Very tiresome to listen to someone like that and ultimately pointless.

Ace, you are a great guy, I can just tell. Introverts are usually the funny guys who make me laugh. I am an extrovert and I married an introvert. He was one of the few guys I'd met who "talked" to me instead of, well, what you normally do with us supermodels. Seriously, he was a friend first and now a husband of 32 years, and remains my best friend.
I do not read the other blog much. Way too much emotional hype radical stuff. I prefer the company of morons. I do think she is a bit high strung, insecure, and manic to do what she did to you at that party. I would have defended you if I were there. If it happens again, tell her "bless your heart, honey" and walk away.

Ace is also wrong about the birth certificate issue being bogus. What we have here is a constitutional provision with no enforcement mechanism. If we did have one, John McCain would almost certainly have been disqualified and we would have had an actual Republican candidate to run against The Mansourian Candidate.
TWO Supreme Court justices have suggested publicly that they want to hear the Obama natural born case. That's how glaring the legitimacy of the issue is. But Ace-Allahpundit types looked at it politically instead of on principle. It's not WISE to make this an issue. What? You can't say: "There is a constitutional provision here with no enforcement mechanism, so obviously this needs to be heard"? TWO Supreme Court justices are not enough cover for you?
This is what I meant about Pamela being braver than Ace. I love Ace, but bravery is not his hallmark. He has actually acknowledged the legitimacy of the natural-born issue in the past, after being pushed on it by people like me. But when it suits his purpose of attacking Pamela, he flops again and pretends the issue is bogus. Tell that to Roberts and Thomas.
For a chicken little like Ace to use such underhanded rhetoric to stab a warrior like Pamela in the back, it is quite unseemly. No mention by Ace of her leading the battle against the Ground Zero mosque. No mention of her advocating tirelessly on behalf of the victims of Islamic "honor" murder. Just Ace claiming to have been right all along about his original wrong judgment on the natural-born issue, so Pamela must be a lot less astute than he is.
Those feckless commentators who are cheerleading Ace's idiocy on this are not doing him any favors. This attack on Geller is THE low point of Ace's career so far. You listening Ace?

Hey genius, the birth certificate thing isn't what you think it is. It isn't about him being "natural born." It's about the nonsense of how the certificate itself was fake, and he was in fact born in Kenya. Now don't you wish you could take at least half of this post back?

Truth be told, I hate civil wars more than any other, we are few enough as it is--but you do have to cut cancer as quickly as you find it.
I am pleased to humbly count myself in your corner on this.

If asked, point out that the size of her feet does not match the style of shoe.
Yeah, at that point she'll call ya a homo but you can be pretty sure that she'll be thinking about her feet all day. And, you'll get free breast staring from then on.
Or she'll stab you in the face.
