nah, it will only annoy you
Bristol is at a bar, having fun, trying to ride a mechanical bull. (Ya really).
And while she's almost done on the bull some [redacted] yells, "You're mother's a whore!" and ruins the good time.
So Bristol gets off the bull, (yeah, really), and walks over to the [redacted] and asks what his problem is.
The [redacted] starts to hyperventilate (yeah, really), and go off on a babbling incoherent tirade about the evilness of Sara Palin.
Bristol asks, "Is it because you're a homosexual?"
Homo says, "Yeah."
Hahahaha.
And then says, "Hey howdya know I was gay."
The dude had "cocksucker" written all over his face and it quite obvious he was unhinged angry homosexual.

Who else in presidential politics, and yes, her mother is involved in presidential politics, has a son or daughter old enough to drink? And that is single, and might be willing to appear in a bullriding scene in a country bar as Bristol Palin did?
Try and imagine someone from the left with a kid with name and face recognition like she has, appearing in a similar scene.
Would someone get in their face about their father or mother's politics? Would it be civil? Consider the venue, please.

Bristol Palin handled the situation with a great deal more restraint than I could muster under similar circumstances, especially given the physically aggressive, bullying nature of the man confronting her. Things could've gotten physical at any point and she never flinched. She's a class act, as is her whole family.
Yeah, I admire and support Sarah Palin, but I would admire her kid's poise and courage even if I didn't know who her mother was.

One thing that's both irritating and pathetic is how the Left attacks conservatives based on leftist stereotypes about the Right. They're framed as attacking "teh hypocricy!!!!111!!", but it's all about the stereotypes, and trying to use those stereotypes to drive wedges into the conservative body politic.

But that's not the way it is. They're protected and these jagoffs know it, and they know how to pick their spots so they don't get ratpacked or beat down. You can bet that if that guy were in a biker bar he wouldn't have shouted that to one of the patrons.

My first trip to NYC in 1985 as a college student began with a trip to a basement bar in Greenwich Village. I think it was called the Grass Root. Our local guide from New Jersey, who was an alum, got a real kick out of introducing a bunch of Missouri college kids to a Western gay bar in the village. Still creeps me out to think about that weird place.

IT'S A REALITY TV SHOW. IF THE LOUDMOUTHS WERE TOLD TO SHUTUP OR SOMEONE COLD COCKED HIM, THERE WOULD BE NO DAMN SHOW.
Posted by: mike at September 23, 2011 02:41 PM (4zZFt)
So because there happened to be video cameras present, that justifies a slanderous attack on a public figure? I knew the video camera added 10 pounds. I didn't know it added immunity from consequence for boorish, potentially criminal behavior--as long as it's directed towards a conservative, naturally.
Get over this "it's a reality TV show" defense. The Gabby Giffords public appearance was staged and scriptied for her to be there with video cameras present (pretty much the definition of reality television, no?), therefore the gunman should be excused? I hope you wouldn't advocate for that, yet in essence it is the equivalent--an unjustifiable attack on a public figure. One used words, the other used firearms. Both were wrong. The only difference on a thematic basis is that shooting someone unprovoked is clearly illegal and punishable by criminal sanction, while the slander is definitely a violation of any standard of good taste and punishable by civil sanction.

If that was a real heckler.....then, good for her. Kinda dangerous, but good for her.
If it was a staged part of Bristol's new reality show, and the heckler-guy was a plant......then booo. It would fall into the category of trolling for sympathy by staging a contrived scene for Bristol to look like a victim.

147.....You know, that really looked set up.
That's why I was wondering if this was a scene from her new reality show.
Why else would there be the professional-looking cameras filming her on the robo-bull. ....It could be that it was a case where "Bristol & Friends go to a bar", and then the things that happened there were just icing on the drama cake.
Or not. ....The heckler guy might've been a plant to ramp up the drama. Who knows. ....Whether it was scripted or not, it certainly gets some sympathy for Bristol for being 'victimized' in this way.
If a daughter of a celebrity wants to avoid the prospect of being heckled or harrassed, they can usually find a place where it is least likely to occur.

Pretty sure it was a real heckler. I don't think the producers in La La land would have wanted Bristol to mention the word "homosexual." We all know any reference that isn't Hallowed regarding gays would be forbidden.

Strawman much? No one excused his behavior but it does explain possibly why the bar management didn't tell him to shut up or kick him out or the guys in the film crew didn't intervene.

Re-read the post. I made a specific point of not using a strawman--what I said was that your defense/excuse was b.s. because it would allow for that justification, not that you were actually claiming it--I made a special point of saying I didn't believe you would claim it.

What's with the camera crew?
Posted by: The Ghost of Kim Novak at September 23, 2011 11:26 AM (8DdAv)
It's been theorized (proved?) that the crew is there for Bristol's reality show. Frankly, I'd love to see a more polished video after all the take has been looked at--maybe with a side-by-side of this yutz at the bar while Bristol was riding the bull so we can see just how angry and foolish he is while yelling these vile comments at someone who has the nerve to be related to someone he hates with the blinding heat of a thousand suns...

Well buddy the only trash I see is you. Pretty pitiful World we live in when it's worse to ask a harassing jackass if they are homosexual than it is for said jackass to have called her and her mother a whore....

She could have answered back with "Funny: I see your mother didn't do such a great job with you!"
That would have been a good "punch in the face" answer.

Wow, this totaly mutes the argument they ( the leftist hippicrites)make for noh8. Seriously, the left wants me to give a shit when they behave like this? Their behaviour of flippantly crying bigotry should inoculate the right. I do not take them serious, I would say three years ago I would have given a rats ass. But after Obama sitting in that pew and listning to the evil words of rev wright, when I hear the term racisim I go numb unless one can prove that charge I DO NOT CARE. As I now chalk words up to freedom of speech in those cases I do in this as well. He has the right to say it however Bristol has the right to respond, challange, and provoke, I am proud of her.
