As my old annoying boss used to say: Have a happy fourth, and take it light on the fifth!
I have never in my life felt so low about the state of this country. And, I fear all the "takers" have climbed on board Barky's vision for the future of this country and will outnumber any opposition this November. What's to "celebrate"? Freedom? Ha.. it is now a joke.

I don't give a rat's ass what Obumbles and his ilk think, America is still an exceptional nation, and is well worth fighting for. The founders had a reason for using the phrase "all enemies foreign and domestic".

Stand up again and keep defending America. George Washington had reverses but kept forging ahead. The Libs are interested in the concept of destroying his efforts just to see if it can be done. They have no idea what to do with the residue after the collapse. They will say that they do but look at the current state of the economy while the Libs are practically in complete control (SCOTUS, Senate, and Presidency). They are children and completely devoid of ideas that work. Get back up and don't allow your feelings to control you!

>>Make no mistake about it. We are engaged in a second war for independence.
>>..remember all the unethical and possibly criminal behavior the Dems engaged in to get this forced down our throats.
Buckle up, itÂ’s going to be a bumpy ride...
In 1832, the threat of nullification by States that opposed tariffs on imported goods came close to bringing about a civil war. Thirty years later as cries for the abolition of slavery reached a fever pitch the War Between the States would begin.
Today, in the wake of the Supreme Court decision that found that the Affordable Health Care Act is constitutional and thereby the law of the land. Republican Governors are lining up to say they will not obey it.
Not only has President Obama and the Democrat Party imposed an enormously unpopular law on the nation, they have initiated a huge constitutional crisis.
Nullification is a constitutional theory that gives an individual state the right to declare null and void any law passed by the United States Congress which the State deems unacceptable and unconstitutional. In a debate in the late 1700s, both James Madison and Thomas Jefferson, in the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions (179
In ruling that Obamacare cannot use the Commerce Clause as its justification, the Supreme Court kicked the Act back to Congress, ruling that it is a tax and that Congress has the right to place such taxes on the citizens of the nation. The Obama administration maintained that Obamacare was not a tax until the case was argued before the Court. It then conceded that it was. Asshats.
The least troublesome response is to wait for November to remove for office every Senator and Representative who voted for Obamacare and who is up for reelection along with Obama.
The most troublesome response would reflect the crisis that occurred when Andrew Jackson was President. On December 11, 1832, Jackson issued a proclamation that he would use force to uphold the right of Congress to enact tariffs which were widely seen as a burden on the southern States. Several compromises ensued.
State Governors have already announced they will not enforce it
Thus, President Obama has set the stage for a major constitutional crisis. He could, in theory, declare martial law to defend Obamacare and this is not just an idle threat. Fasten your seat belts.

Michigan Republican Gov. Rick Snyder has vetoed bills sponsored by his own party that would have required some voters to show a photo ID before they could get an absentee ballot and mandated extra training for groups registering voters.
He also vetoed legislation to require voters to reaffirm their U.S. citizenship before receiving a ballot.

The first thing I thought of was she was one of those "endangered" Democrats and meant to do that "mistake". But if that news article is correct she tried to get to change it to a no. The Republicans would not let her because NC law makes no provision for changing your vote after it is cast.
I suspect that if the Dems held the majority there they would have allowed her to change it anyway.

>>Good thing they don't teach that American history stuff in skool anymore, it might konfuze the chirrens.
As if President Obama has not already driven the nationÂ’s economy to the brink of collapse and his administration has opposed enforcement of the Defense of Marriage Act, and has opposed ArizonaÂ’s efforts to secure its borders and its right to protect its citizens from illegal aliens, Obama has now brought about a crisis comparable to that which launched the Civil War.
As you sit there eating Cheetos switching between Pr0n and AoS on this Fourth of July , the current President has created a firestorm of opposition that initially led to the Tea Party movement and the 2010 midterm elections that returned power to the Republican Party in the House of Representatives. Major forces are emerging and aligning to stop Obamacare anyway they can.
This is occurring as a case before a Florida court challenges Obama’s eligibility to be on that State’s ballot. Florida law is unique in that it gives the average voter greater freedom to challenge eligibility and fraud than other States. More than a hundred legal cases nationwide have been brought over his eligibility. The Constitution specifically states that the President must be “a natural born citizen” with both parents being citizens of the United States.
ObamaÂ’s father was a citizen of Kenya.

That's not quite right. They can change their vote if it does not change the outcome of the overall vote. In this case her vote was the deciding one so according to law she couldn't change it.

Fines for dozens of Los Angeles parking violations will jump another $5 this summer, as Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the City Council continue shifting more of the city's budget woes onto motorists.
In what has become a recurring search for summer cash at City Hall, the council voted unanimously to increase parking fines for the sixth time in seven years. The increases will apply to the 2.5 million city parking tickets issued annually and are expected to generate an extra $8.4 million in the next year for the city's general fund budget.
Under the parking proposal, the fine for an expired meter will increase to $63; tickets for parking on street sweeping day will cost $73; and parking in a red zone will carry a $93 penalty. A few violations — those dealing with handicapped parking —will go up by $10.
Villaraigosa initially wanted fines for roughly a dozen violations, including illegally parking on street sweeping day, to go up by $10. After the public complained, council members opted for a $5 increase on a larger number of parking violations.
The council made both decisions before going on a two-week break.

told WND he has read enough of RobertsÂ’ opinions to know that the

But Fahling added that, personally speaking, he could never be involved in such a case.

>>God help us and bless America. Enjoy your shrinking list of freedoms and let's kick some commie ass in November.
Most Americans who value their liberty realize by now that the survival of their life as a free people is currently endangered by a threat greater than any it has faced since the founding of the United States. This threat manifests itself in every facet of the nation's existence. However, as a practical matter the threat is rooted in the fact that America's elites have abandoned the commitment to government of, by and for the people that was characteristic of the outstanding individuals who informed and articulated the thinking responsible for America's break with the British monarchy; the thinking that ultimately gave rise to the Constitution of the United States.
In every walk of life and especially in everything that has to do with government and politics, most members of what I call the elite faction have substantiated or fallen prey to a moral and intellectual culture that rejects the idea that lawful government requires a republican form, derived from the general consent of the people.
The whole point of the elitist party scam is to "hide in plain sight" the elite faction's hostility to the species of republican government established by America's founders. Thanks to their more blatant embrace of socialism, with its foundation in supposedly "scientific" materialism, it's hardly necessary to dwell at length on the Democrat Party's evident rejection of America's founding principles. Democrats are almost universally the champions of secularist political doctrines and approaches. As a result they demand that, as a matter of Constitutional law, all concepts that assume or refer to the Creator be banished, not only from law and politics but from any public arena or activity in which the government is involved or which it even indirectly supports. Where the Creator is banished there obviously can be no place for right endowed with His authority, or for any premises of government dependent upon that endowment.
As all the principles of American republicanism are derived from such premises, beginning with the requirement that just government must be empowered by the consent of the governed, neither those principles nor the Constitution framed in light of them, can long survive God's exile.
The so-called Republican Party masks this hostile behind the claims that it upholds the Constitution of the American Republic. In recent times, however, it has become increasingly hard to miss its failure to do so..ex:
-neglects or openly rejects the principles of the Revolution, beginning with the premise of God endowed right.
-purposefully thwarts the genius of the people of America, and
-systematically denigrates, undermines and corrupts the people's capacity for self-government.
But this is especially true with respect to the Party's abandonment of the moral principles of the American Revolution, those which justify and support constitutional self-government of, by and for the people.

States can fight back by refusing to set up exchanges.
The fun part is that though there is a provision in OgabeCare that if states do refuse to set up exchanges, the Feds can step in to do it themselves...but they neglected to put in a mechanism to fund it.
If enough of the states that joined in the suit against OgabeCare decided to refuse to set up the exchanges, it would seriously mess with the implementation.

>>If enough of the states that joined in the suit against OgabeCare decided to refuse to set up the exchanges, it would seriously mess with the implementation.
Florida’s Governor, Rick Scott, has declared his State will not comply with the overhaul of the nation’s health care system—its nationalization by the federal government. Earlier, the Missouri legislature passed a bill in its House of Representatives declaring Obamacare null and void for the second time. It would prohibit the establishment of an exchange without the consent by vote of the people of Missouri.
In Louisiana, Gov. Bobby Jindal has declared his opposition to Obamacare as has WisconsinÂ’s Gov. Scott Walker, both of whom urged other States to refuse to implement the law.
Just as South Carolina led the opposition during President Jackson’s time, Sen. Jim DeMint has called on “every governor to stop implementing the health care exchanges.” Despite the Supreme Court’s ruling that states can opt out of a Medicaid expansion, there is nothing Jindal and Walker can do to prevent health insurance exchanges from being set up in their States.

And the math doesn't seem sinister to me: The US is paying $2B, Canada is paying $2B - pretty fair, for an international bridge. Only Canada is ALSO paying Michigan's share of $550M, because that state is too broke to put up any money at all. Why is this such a rotten deal for the US? It sounds pretty good. It's not a bridge to nowhere: Canada is a huge trading partner for the US, and that particular bottleneck in crossing the border has been a problem for years. I wish I was as optimistic as some of you on the state of our Union. I was at Denny's this morning having breakfast with Mr. Jaimo and all of a sudden dread and fear just washed over me and I found my eyes tearing up, my hubby thinks I'm an idiot for taking this stuff so seriously.
I'm scared I will lose my health insurance paid for by my employer and be penalized by the Government because I won't be able to afford to get a comparable plan or if a comparable plan is even available, since it seems that Obama wants us all to be on the bare minimum so we will all be "equal". Equally fucked that is.

ALL you need to know:
In the summer of 1776 our Founding Fathers gathered in Philadelphia to decide not whether they would tell King George III they had had enough, but how to word their message. They wanted nothing about our Declaration of Independence to be ambiguous.
They explained that it had become necessary to dissolve the political bands that connected them to England because they were entitled by God to have certain inalienable rights the British Crown refused to recognize. Our Founding Fathers confidently proclaimed the truths they relied upon were self-evident. To ground their declaration in logic they presented a list of evils and abuses George III had committed. It reads like a criminal indictment. Here are some of the charges they listed against the English King.
He refused to follow laws.
He forbade state governors from passing laws that would benefit their people. Moreover he completely ignored laws he didnÂ’t like.
He refused requests for laws that would help people unless the districts they lived in agreed to give up genuine representation in their legislature.
He obstructed the laws for naturalization of foreigners.
He obstructed the administration of justice, by refusing his assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers.
He made judges dependent on his will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He erected a multitude of new offices, and sent out swarms of officers to harass our people, and “eat out their substance.”
He combined with others to subject Americans to a jurisdiction foreign to us and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation.
He imposed taxes on us without our consent.
The similarity between our predicament in 1776 and what Barack Obama has inflicted upon us today is eerie. With no alternative our Founding Fathers picked up guns and took to the streets to fight for their freedoms. We canÂ’t do that today, but we can take to the streets and work to win our freedoms in November.
When you do we must vote conservative!!

We are betrayed by these people and we will see more of our freedom legislated away or simply quashed by administrative fiat by these republicans. It's the power structure, not the parties that are enslaving us. The R or D next to the name only designates which criminal gang is represented.
They are, at their heart, thieves who love their illusion of aristocracy and you and I are not invited to the Ball. They lust to be on top of the pig-pile and in control of the fake money issued by a decadent and illegitimate government.

More work by the assholes in the federal system to assure SCÂ’s voter ID law will not be in place by November. They have postponed the court date. SC should file for immediate injunctive relief and if that doesnÂ’t work simply tell Holder to piss up a rope and enforce it anyway. Damn you Morons are smart.
Washington, D.C., was in a panic as 70,000 Confederate troops were just sixty miles away near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The furious battle had lasted three days.
As General Lee found his ammunition running low, he ordered General Pickett to make a direct attack. After an hour of murderous fire and bloody hand-to-hand combat, the Confederates were pushed back and the Battle of Gettysburg ended JULY 3, 1863, with over 50,000 casualties.
President Abraham Lincoln confided to a general wounded in the battle:
“When everyone seemed panic-stricken…I went to my room…and got down on my knees before Almighty God and prayed.”
Days later, July 15, 1863, President Lincoln proclaimed a National Day of Thanksgiving, Praise and Prayer:
“It is meet and right to recognize and confess the presence of the Almighty Father and the power of His hand equally in these triumphs and in these sorrows…
I invite the people of the United States to…render the homage due to the Divine Majesty for the wonderful things He has done in the nation’s behalf and invoke the influence of His Holy Spirit to subdue the anger which has produced and so long sustained a needless and cruel rebellion.”
O'bummer is NO Lincoln. I wish him ill.

Yes, it's a loan - so? The state is broke. Do you think the money should be a gift? It'll be repaid through the tolls collected - that's a pretty standard practice when building new highways and bridges, only usually it doesn't reach the international level. And the bridge IS needed. Even now, delays can be hours-long. Most people consider that wasteful and a loss of money. Unless you're proposing restoring northern Michigan to forest and farmland, and giving up on ever having industrial activity in that part of the country again, the need will get greater as the years go by. Building big infrastructure that's useful and will support a lot of economic activity is something government is supposed to do, and when it involves another country, naturally it's going to involve the federal government - there's no choice.

>>That's because at their head and heart they are corrupt. Our freedoms are just a buzzword to them and an impediment in their lust for power.
With respect to the Power Structure, it connives at promoting or imposing by law actions that deny or disrespect the premise of God endowed right (for example: abortion, gay marriage, and the suppression of public piety by means of an abusive and false concept of separation of church and state).
It also undermines the exceptional spirit of initiative and enterprise once characteristic of Americans by promoting rampant spending and borrowing, which leads to excessive taxation of individuals and businesses; burdensome regulation of their entrepreneurial activities; and centralized control of their financial institutions.
The elitist two party political sham encourages the proliferation of programs and policies based on the false promise that government will care for individuals. This leads to woeful neglect of government's proper function, which is to act as the agent of people of goodwill whose concern for the common good gives rise to the institution of just government. So the elitist information media (including politicians and academics, as well prominent figures in the news and entertainment sectors) induce people to see their political activity in terms of selfish individual gain. Meanwhile, this media ignore or denigrate the duty of individuals, as members of the sovereign body of the people, to take responsibility for the common good of the nation as a whole.

Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation.
We're fighting for our right to live, to exist.
And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice:
"We will not go quietly into the night!
We will not vanish without a fight!
We're going to live on!
We're going to survive!"
Today, we celebrate our Independence Day!

Rasmussen has this:
Eighty-two percent (82%) believe “all men are created equal.” Seventy percent (70%) agree that “governments derive their only just powers from the consent of the governed.” However, just 22% believe that the federal government actually has the consent of the governed today.

However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.
