I stay quiet with my ignorant and liberal in-laws, due to being a polite Southern lady. There is subtle baiting and I don't, for the sake of my husband and elderly mother-in-law, bite and hold on like a bulldog.
While I only yell and scream at college basketball games (go 'Noles), I will find a way to correct ignorance and stupidity when it reveals itself to me. First test may be this week with niece's uber-liberal boyfriend. I will either fillet him or pull his earlobe plug thing out after exposing how utterly stupid he is. I am hoping for some private time after a double gin and tonic and high altitude to fuel my wrath.

Who knew Martin Luther was kind of an Andrew Breitbart in monk's clothing?

SarahW, forgive me but I think when the Mainstream media interviews someone who obviously lied in front of Congress and doesn't challenge her on it, at all - then yes,m that does matter.
I also thing that when some leftwing operative and hack is given credibility in such a fashion that is not at all deserved, and her status of a leftwing operative is hidden/obfuscated from the American people by so called "journalists" like Tapper, then yes, that matters too.
Plain and simple, Tapper absolutely did not do his job here, not by any stretch of the imagination. That can't be passed off, overlooked, or excused. He doesn't deserve to be employed as a journalist, and this woman certainly doesn't deserve the total pass he gave her in what you can only laughing call his "interview" of her. It might as well been a paid DNC ad.
His actions, and her's, are despicable and beneath contempt. And yes, that does matter. The truth matters. As to Tapper getting irritated when people call him out for being a worthless DNC shill unworthy of the title of journalist.. Good. He deserves to be annoyed.

Then I would say you need to read the comments here more carefully. We get it. We don't want the government telling any religious institution what they must provide for health coverage.
Most of us conservatives want government out of healthcare as much as possible, and government out of religion too - As to the whole Fluke thing, well she brought it on herself and so did Tapper. They deserve all the scorn and derision they receive, and more.
If were not willing to point out that these people are lying to the American public, then how is the American public ever going to find out there being lied too?
No, no more of that. We lost Andrew - our greatest voice in these matters. So now instead of just one voice crying out in the wilderness, it must be a chorus of voices. A resounding chorus, all shouting at the top of our lungs.
BULLSHIT.
The media is dropping the ball, yet again. Tapper is dropping the ball, yet again. They are giving a pass to a lying piece of crap Fluke who only joined Georgetown for the expressed purpose of protesting there policy about not covering contraception. Tapper wants to pass this off as some innocent college student who just got "caught up" in all of this. That's crap. She's a plant. She went there specifically to CREATE this situation. And the media, and Tapper, refuse to report it.. because there not journalists. They are nothing more than paid media consultants for the DNC. Nothing more, nothing less.
So no, no more. I hope you and many others will join me in crying,
BULLSHIT
Because the moment we fall silent, they win. It really is just that simple.

Once you stipulate or allow the left to call the rules, you're backing up.
AB also knew that Lefties lacked inner confidence in their worldview, and without groupthink they are incapable of independent thought. They think they're free because they're allowed to debate whether chocolate or strawberry ice cream is better. It was Noam Chomsky who once wrote; "set a strict box on what is allowed to be discussed, but allow vigorous debate inside the box"

God, this Fluke thing is such bullshit, and so transparent.
You can get free condoms in many locations close to Georgetown. You can get bc for $4 a month at Wal-Mart and $9 a month at Target. Or you can, you know, pay the whole price yourself if you want a fancier brand. The city of DC will pay for emergency contraception after rape.
I found all this out in about 5 minutes of Google searching. So 1) Sandra Fluke was very bad at her job, if her job was to help students know their reproductive options rather than to undermine the Catholic faith; 2) given the wide range of free and cheap reproductive options, there's no need to force the Church to change a belief its held for 200 years; 3) the media are lazy, stupid, and the enemy.

Well, honestly I don't recommend anyone chart the course I have, the repercussions could be quite severe and I would never expect anyone to risk their lively hood or the well being of their family especially in this economy.
To be truthful I still can't quite fully explain why I'm doing it myself, other than just a feeling in my gut that this is the right thing and something that just has to be done.
But rest assured I'm well armed and ready for tomorrow, no matter what comes. I've spent the weekend, well, when I haven't been posting here of course, researching every state law I think may or may not apply and almost all of the HR guidelines and policies ever printed or put online by my employer. If they want a fight, I'm more than prepared to give them the fight of their lives.

This feels a lot like the Grayson election in 2010. The generally purple district that Grayson represented is a lot of genuinely nice people who really don't like in your face politics. You could get the feeling in the electorate that they were just DONE with it all. If Grayson would have kept his mouth shut, he would have been fine. But it was impossible for him to stop being The Hero of the Left.
My pet theory is that this election will most closely follow 1968. That was just a terrible year, with riots and protests. When November rolled around, a very large silent majority rose up and said "enough".

No worries. I've got a pretty good battle plan already, and we'll just play the rest by ear I guess. I have no idea how the company as a whole will respond yet, and while I very much got the impression that the HR director would just very much like for this whole thing to go away on Friday, she isn't the final word on the subject by any means.
But she is the "first stop" on that tour, and I don't want to jump the gun on anything. If this does end up in some sort of lawsuit my legal adviser said the best thing I can do is follow all of the steps they laid out in there own policies and procedures exactly as they laid them out.
If I do then their lack of response becomes my greatest weapon. If not then they can always claim their lack of response was due to the fact that I didn't follow there guidelines. As the Judge put it, if this does go to court your best strategy is to just keep handing them rope and let them make their own noose. When the time comes they'll have no defense.
Lol.. crafty old bastard that one.

M'kay. So we have a finite number of $'s to spend every week. X number goes into the gas tank. X number goes into food, clothing, entertainment, etc. Increasing the amount going into the tank somehow helps the economy along...despite the fact that it means less money going for food, clothing, entertainment and other necessities. Just my 2 cents worth of course. Just keep in mind folks, were all a bit on edge - Andrew's loss hit us all in so many different ways. But Andrew also spent a lot of his time bringing folks like us together. Again, just my 2 cents worth.

People always use hyperbole when they eulogize a friend, but even though I never met Breitbart I keep going back to something in my mind. We always think of the US Founding Fathers as the faces on statues and currency, bigger than life. But they were regular guys, farmers and bankers that saw something horribly wrong and said "No Effing Way". They wanted a better world for their children and fought against the wrongs that faced them. They lived in a time when the big issues were settled with rifles. They picked up their rifles - and they won.
Breitbart lived in a different time where the battles are fought in communications media. He picked up his (electronic) rifle and fought. He won battles but left us before the outcome of the war was known. He was a man of a different era but had he been alive in the late 18th Century I have no doubt he would have been in the thick of the American Revolution. He would have given rousing speeches like Patrick Henry - and the minutes of the Constitution Convention would have included a lot more dirty jokes. RIP Andrew and God be with your family.

CC: My 94 year-old grandmother, a life-long Democrat who proudly voted for FDR all four times, has said she doesn't care who the Republican nominee is: he's got her vote. Grandma regrets voting for the SCOAMF and says he has been a disaster - he needs to be shown the door.

God bless you, Andrew Breitbart, and thank you so much for all your good work here during your much-too-brief life.
We will miss you, but we will carry on your work. You have inspired more people than you know.
