— Ace Down at BlogCon (where I'm not), they just tributed Brietbart.
Neat portrait of him, made up of his quotes.

The folks attending BlogCon knew him, worked with him.
(Did Maya Lin know the men whose names are on the memorial she designed? Does that invalidate the Vietnam Memorial? Would you hang out there telling the people who come up to touch it, reflect, remember that it's been a few weeks, they need to move on and forget already?)

He clearly represents the struggle against the Left which is tyring to swallow us and make us all robots for the state.
He helped teach many How to stand tall, and actual suggestion on how to mock those that mean for us to have no opnion other than the opinion They say is correct.
He had the savvy, he had the charisma , he had the ability to draw many of us together in purpose for the individual and each of our liberty.
some of us had forgotten how to fight back.

countrydoc & CoolCzech: I recognize the validity of your points, but I would likewise remind you that Breitbart was more than just another conservative stalwart. In many ways he is among the pioneers of the conservative domination of new media. It's right and proper for the BlogCon attendees to remember him and pay tribute to his memory, and it is right and proper for those of us who never knew him but who were inspired by him to likewise keep his memory alive.
AB helped us break the old media shackles. I don't think this is at all about mourning; it's about celebration.
Posted by: MWR, Proud Tea(rrorist) Party Hobbit and ABO supporter at April 20, 2012 10:27 AM (4df7R)
Not mourning. Just saddened. Too young, had family and his hijacking of the Wiener presser was a taste of much good fun to come. Anyway, still heading out for 18. Have a good weekend, and to all you morons-ettes as well.
Posted by: eureka! at April 20, 2012 10:27 AM (81yf8)
Eh, Blog Con is sort of "A thing" and the Tribute was as much for Team Breitbart as it was for the man himself. I don't see a problem with this one.
But I agree it's a thin line to walk. Also, I get the idea that, if not "friend-friends," Ace and Brietbart were at least friendly. Which would merit the occasional AB post.

Apart from the stray mention of like "Breitbart's organization is getting big interviews, he done good."
I kind of love that Pollack went on Soledad O'Brien's local cable tv access show to talk about the Derrick Bell video so soon after AB passed away. It would have been easy to think, "Shucks, with AB gone will the Bigs still have the same clout?" That interview right there, right off the starting block, was a big resounding, "HELL YES."
AB would definitely have been proud.

Keith Olbermann will sit in on the political roundtable on ABC News' "This Week With George Stephanopoulos" on Sunday.

It will be Olbermann's first television appearance to talk politics since his explosive departure from Current TV in March. He will be joined by George Will, Donna Brazile, Matt Dowd and Peggy Noonan on Sunday.

Odd to put "knowing" and "left" in the same sentence since leftism is more about "feelings" then "knowing."

Examples of leaders whose deaths inspired their followers to push on to victory:
Joan of Arc
William Wallace
Martin Luther King, Jr.
While I am not saying that Andrew Breitbart is as historically important as these 3, the result of a loss like this often spurs the troops onward in ways that cannot be predicted.
So I think it is good we remember and take what lessons we can from his life and from his dedication to the cause of freedom.

I like bashing trolls. Plus I live in California, bashing trolls is good.....practice....for getting through my day to day encounters with...."people"
Sharpens the wit, and, as a bonus, gives you exposure to the dem talking points and counter arguments of the day. I think you vastly underrate the value of troll bashing.
I fully intend to keep bashing trolls until it becomes a bannable offense.

Are you familiar with the Automatic Five rule? Most men are, even if they don't realize it. It goes like this: Women with big boobs are an automatic 5.
I'm talking baseline. Points can be added or subtracted for looks, etc. But she's an automatic 5. And with Automatic Fives, one must have damn good reasons to subtract points.
She's a strong 5, in other words. Big boobs, big-big, are 5's, like, practically written in stone 5.
That's the Automatic Five rule.

202.....Well, I read on BBC thismorning of a coup in the Maldives, which since 2008 election had become more secular. Now Breitbart reports the Obama admn was complicit in fundamentalist Islamic coup by being fast to recognize mob coup as legit govt.
Mmm....so it becomes more clear why that 'slip of the tongue' happened.
The Maldives are where a lot of Islamists stash their cash, in numbered accounts. ....So I figured that's why Barky had them on the tip of his tongue. ....But this adds even more reason for him to be thinking about them.

I didn't know Reagan personally, but I feel a stab of regret that he isn't around at this ominous point in U.S. history -- same as Breitbart. This country is desperately in short supply of leaders. If you're lucky enough to get them, you should at least remember them.

I can't stand anyone who can't rub two brain cells togther, and that is true no matter how good they look. It's just the way I am. My wife has a built in airhead meter. Every time I see a "8", "9" or "10" and I make some smart-ass comment, my wife always says, "Go say 'hi' to her." Sometimes I do and I swear, every single time I do they turn out to be idiots.
