For the record, they insure NOTHING.
You are not paying for insurance. They will be the first to tell you this, but only if you ask.

Not sure of the spelling, but you are correct.
Which pretty well completely taps out my knowledge of French.
But where Americans (and, to a lesser extent, the British) will say "I am," romance languages all used the more formalized "my name is," or "I call myself" form. "Je suis" is "I am" as in "I am a... " whatever.
This has been your mostly-useless trivia update.

The upper video doesn't have any shaky cam. The lower one does. WTF with the shaky cam. I guess this is a trend set by Hollywood fuckwits that will be hard to undo.
Don't the film arts scientist assholes realize that a persons area of focus doesn't shift even as you are shaking about. Back in the day when Lucas was inventing all new science for filming Star Wars, you would think he would have made a camera with a gyro compensated focus such that the peripherals would shift while the subject stayed relatively in frame, even while being jarred about.
Maybe this could be the subject of a thread with the hope that people could realize their art is being reduced to crap by using this very obnoxious technique.

The dollar figures are a declaration of the value of what you are shipping (for potential replacement due to loss or damage).
Best case scenario is damage as you can prove the declared value to be accurate...when something is lost, they can get cagey about making it right.
Also, there are things they will NOT replace or compensate you for no matter how much you pay them in 'Declared Value'.
At no point are they insuring your item.
If you are shipping anything of true value, check with your insurance agent about getting a shipping rider (ryder?) for an existing policy.

For the last time, the dispatcher, not the police, asked if Zimmerman was following Martin and when Z said yes the dispatcher said "you don't have to do that" and Z said OK. He wasn't "ordered" to do anything. He said that he then decided to return to his truck where Martin confronted him. Also the eyewitness said that he saw and heard Zimmerman screaming for help. These days I get sad watching cat videos. My three dog household is mourning the loss of our honorary puppy cat, Lucille, who ran out of lives a couple of weeks ago. A formidable hunter, Lucille brought numerous gifts into the house over the years. The most memorable was a special middle of the night offering of a live flying squirrel. Lucille sat there as languid as Henri as she watched Clare, the Jack Russell terrier, tear up the house in hot pursuit of that squirrel.

154....I can't recall if even Clinton was this blatant.
The Clintons used the IRS like a blunt instrument to hit people over the head with audits and other harrassment. ....So, they probably used IRS records as a source of politically useful information too.
But back then, the Clintons didn't have to deal with the increased level of conservative alternative media....like we have today. So they got away with a lot.
And yeah, Y-not.....I've been expecting to see 'leaks' come out from Romney's confidential IRS and business records....things that the rest of us do not have access to, but the SCoaMF does.

Allen? Do you know what happens when you don't praise kitty for her present?
The presents get fresher and fresher. Until the live ones start being dumped on your pillow in the dead of night.
Until you have awakened to a hysterical, bleeding mouse in your freshly washed, waist-length hair, you have not lived.

Don't buy it.
How, exactly, do the parents get paid? Z has no money. He's been all but bankrupted just from this much, add legal defense fees, and other expenses, and then a civil judgement? Where would they get their money?
And "practically guarantees" is not "guarantees."
No, it's too complex.
This one is simple: Corey is up for election this year (for whatever her post is), and knows she won't get elected if he doesn't at least get charged. So she charges him with the highest crime possible- because anything less would be the same as not charging him at all, as far as her political future is concerned.

And as for "hearsay" from a deathbed confession etc, this would not be the same. This is secondary hearsay from an available witness.

We had two family cats for years and thought they were perfectly box trained. They passed away two years ago and when we recently cleaned out the house, we found out they were not so perfect. Of course, those "accidents" /may/ have been from younger guest-kitties. But somehow, I doubt that. Probably old age and stress. Oh, and general kitty sneakiness.
I swear cats are the ultimate long-term planners. They'll plot revenge that lasts after they're gone from your life.

239 OK, cat people - how do I break my cat's habit of peeing on a certain chair.
The chair is his now. .....If you remove it, he will claim another. There is no way to prevent him from peeing on that chair again, and again. ....This is why people prefer dogs.
Posted by: wheatie at April 12, 2012 01:47 PM (+5U+B)
Posted by: Ombudsman
Get rid of the chair. That's easiest.
Other methods: Start by cleaning it and throwing out any cushions you can. If you can't dispose of the cushions, de-stuff them, throw away the stuffing, wash the covers three times (once in very hot water with no soap, twice in cold with woolite), then replace the stuffing. Move the chair to some other part of the room.
Bar the cat from the room for a while.
Put scat mats around and on the chair.
Put some tobasco on contact points of the chair, where kitty likes to scent mark.

OT but it's about that lying weasel Buffet (he of the "Buffet Tax" increase named just for him doncha know).
In today's Crains Chgo Business:
"(Crain's) — Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has launched a new venture to finance low-income housing projects, starting with a nearly $29 million center for seniors on Medicaid in the south suburbs....Affordable Housing is a subsidiary of Mr. Buffett's holding company, Berkshire Hathaway Inc., which had total revenue of $143.7 billion in 2011....
... the new Berkshire venture is expected to invest in projects by buying up federal tax credits.... The buyers...use the tax credits to lower their tax bills."
Commenters on the story in Crains note that the "affordable housing" aspect is just PR window dressing for these projects. The entire point is to mine the tax code and reduce Berkshire's tax burden.
Sorry for no link but the blog doesn't like me when I do that. It's in today's Crains.

This basic premise no longer exists. ....Today, there are people who would lie with their last dying breath....to get revenge on someone, or just because they are compulsive liars.

Yep. We had a cat who was King of the House. He hated being locked in the bedroom when we had guests over. So much so that he was banging on the door at all hours of the night while yowling. We got the Mat and he was defiant the one time.
After that, we just had to make sure the mat was off (just the sight was a deterrent) or to jump over it when opening the door to avoid being shocked ourselves.
Watching him angrily twitching on the mat was pretty funny. The look on his face... I miss that darn cat.

That wasn't the original question. He did not make a "deathbed statement". He is alleged to have told his GF that Zimmerman was following him. So says his GF. So the idea is that his GF will testify to that in court.
She will then be giving "hearsay" evidence since she was not there. In addition, the prosecution will not be allowed to give a deposition from her saying that. She must appear in court so that she can be cross-examined.
