Andy Griffith, RIP
— Ace

Dead at 86.

Completely Forgot... that one of his last roles was as a shill for ObamaTax.

57 OT, but stunningly good news: "Last week, Israel Opportunity Energy Resources LP discovered an offshore oil and gas field with an estimated 1.4 billion barrels of oil and 6.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. According to the company’s Chairman, Ronny Halman, “The quantity of gas discovered… makes it the third-largest offshore discovery to date.” It follows last June’s announcement of uncovering 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 800 million barrels of oil in Israel’s Tamar and Leviathan offshore fields." The article quotes analysts who say Israel could become the third-largest oil producer in the world. Historically, Israel was though to have no oil and very little natural gas. Times they are a'changin.'

69 So ace gives us the in depth analysis of the day, about a tragic event most of us knew about 2-3 hours ago. The death of a man that defined rural America as much as Norman Rockwell, who has brought forward an image of a better people that lives on in a nostalgia of a better America that many Americans have today from watching him having never gotten to experience it themselves;  the dream that we could be better, because we were better, and "Oh, no" oh no, indeed ace, oh no. That living link to that time is gone.

RIP Andy.

Andy Griffith's ObamaCare Propaganda Ad Was Paid For By You, The Taxpayer We're now being forced to pay for propaganda against our interests? Yet in a sick deal with the Obama administration, Griffith shatters his credibility, promising all roses with a health-care law that even Barney Fife could tell you is a disaster in the making. "This year, like always, we'll have our guaranteed benefits," Griffith says in the gauzy ad, as if today's seniors are America's last generation. "And with the new health-care law, more good things are coming. Free checkups, lower prescription costs, and better ways to protect us and Medicare from fraud." Yeah, as if the real problem with today's economy is that people aren't paying enough in taxes and the government has too much money on its hands.

112 My All Time Favorite AGS character (besides Barney Fife) is Ernest T. Bass.

Holding a grudge on old folks that grew up around the depression because they like all of the socialism and big gov love is sorta silly.
They're brainwashed by the experience of literally not knowing when or where the next meal was coming from.
The Great Depression was like that for a lot of people like Andy Griffith and my grandparents too.
