ANOTHER Pennsylvania Poll: Obama 43% Romney 40%
— CAC

Y'all can get excited over Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Wisconsin and Nevada.

But I am extra giddy because my white whale has indeed returned.

And just think: all it took was 90 minutes.

The regional breakdown is pretty damning if one statistic holds. Look at SEPA (Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks, Chester counties). Republicans haven't lead in the Philadelphia burbs in 24 years.

Reposting from last post (for Jackhole).

Here is my take on the MSM right now. They know Obama is in deep trouble, they also know they have been carrying his water for the past few years because the majic has worn off. I think they are trying to figure out if they should make one final push to see if they can carry him over the finish line or to throw him under the bus in the name of saving their own careers and their liberal cause. Much easier to say, you know Obama just didn't want to be President anymore. That's why he just gave up. I honestly think they are torn right now. If things don't improve in a week, they will just give up.

39

I am hearing through my local grapevine that internal polling for Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick in Bucks County shows Romney leads in the 8th District.  It went for Obama in 2008 and Kerry in 2004.  I am seeing far more Romney signs than Obama signs around here, and this area was covered with Obama signs in 2008.  The local Obama campaign office in Doylestown never seems to have anyone actually in it.

The polls in the PA Senate race are within the margin of error.  A GOP poll has Keith Rothfus beating Mark Critz in Murtha's old district.  Dems are leading in AG and state auditor races, but that is more a reflection on the current unpopularity of Gov. Corbett than any national races.

These are all very consistent with a close and winnable race for Romney in PA.

75% refers to the highest French tax rate, not the percentage of taxes paid by "the rich."  It's ironic that the raising of the maximum rate in France will probably dramatically decrease the percentage of total taxes paid by the rich, since the rich will be...LEAVING.

55 Preference Cascade in effect.  Next debates will help.  Ryan and Romney are both smarter and sincere.  Also, "Indifference to JEF Cascade" amongst past supporters.  Hence the pleas for them to get "almost obsessive"  and "don't boo, Vote!" from Barky to the Obots.  They know their GOTV machine is faced with a "what good has he done such that I need to get off my fat ass again?" mindset.  Look for a lot of the foreign millions to be spent on that effort.

93 Pottstown’s (Montgomery County PA) ‘Big Bird’: Romney didn’t ruffle his feathers

Longtime Pottstown residents will recall that Lionel Douglass, Pottstown High School Class of 1973, spent five years inside the Big Bird suit both on the PBS television set and on stage as part of a road show.

Contacted Friday in California, Douglass said he was watching the debate Wednesday and was little taken aback by RomneyÂ’s decision to single out the beloved childhood symbol as being among the people he would fire as president.

“I mean he’s trying to get people to vote for him isn’t he?” Douglass, 57, said with a laugh.

Eh, so the consult is a second urologist?  Or they just want to meet you first before scheduling an appointment.

If it's the former, I can't explain it other than "defensive medicine."  If it's the latter, they likely just want to weed out people who aren't serious before they block off a part of their schedule and someone whimps out. (There are pretty well defined legal standards of what information has to be provided by the doctor before a procedure, might as well schedule you're "informed consent" days on different days than your actual snipping so you can maximize effiency in the way you see patients.)

Casey is a complete dud.  A man barely aware of his own existence.  He's definitely beatable, but I don't know how strong the challenger is.  Maybe it doesn't matter.

I think another reason why the Dems fought so far for ID is that minority vote actually INCREASES with ID.  Why?  Well if you live in a machine politics area, you will definitely think that your vote doesn't count, especially for downballot races.

165 Obama is a longtime supporter of “regionalism,” the idea that the suburbs should be folded into the cities, merging schools, housing, transportation, and above all taxation. To this end, the president has already put programs in place designed to push the country toward a sweeping social transformation in a possible second term. The goal: income equalization via a massive redistribution of suburban tax money to the cities.

HOWEVER, where this is encouraging news is State, Local, US House and US Senate elections. Look, there is more damage done to communities at the local and state level. I really have high hopes that Romney will win, but if we have Senate Majority Leader Reid, that is the anchor that on the SS Romney which may make headway near impossible.

Keep pushing for the POTUS, but throw some effort and money at the other races. That marginal extra house, senate, state office can swing the course of history. (See also: Franken, Webb, et. al.)

The report cited that Romney is winning in the Philadelphia suburbs?! Be still my heart; this could mean game over.

Other folks may use telephone polls but I always counted lawn signs to guess at who was going to win. I have NEVER seen a Presidential election so devoid of lawn signs as this one. That said, there are no Obama signs around here, and only about 5 or 6 Romney signs. Only two bumper stickers, total; one for Obama 2012 and one Obama 2008.

This election may actually turn out to be FUN!
