65 Alright, the Giants catcher just picked up Wainwright's perfectly executed bunt and he has his fingernails painted white. I swear. I saw it in slowmo. I'm sure he did. I pitched for years, all the way through college. Catchers will paint nails, cover their fingers in the chalk dust or tape them to make them more visible to the pitcher. Really helps if the signs are rapid and complicated with runners on base.

Four years ago, although many of us knew what a catastrophe choom-boy would be, there were a lot of reasons why his victory was possible. Not inevitable (fucking Juan McLame), but possible. Now we have four years of King Putt under our national belt, four painful, disastrous years, and almost 50% of our countrymen are so ignorant, so stupid, and or so fucking selfish that they would recoronate that worthless sack of shit. They thought Obama won on Tuesday, they were waiting for the polls to swing back toward him showing momentum.  They didn't, they kept their slow creep toward Romney.

They now realize that baring a miracle, Obama will lose.

The media realized the same thing and is pulling the trigger to get their credibility back.  Examples the Orlando Sentinel and CBS.

The timing of that endorsement is telling.  They could have waited until after the last debate.  They didn't.

So is the CW going to be that the 1st debate decided the election because it was the moment that it was revealed that the palace guard had been holding up a drooling idiot as the messiah?

The distance between image and reality was simply a bridge too far. Making the moment when the press turned on him all the more shattering i the eyes of the public?

130

Did you see the Jimmy Kimmel video from Tuesday, where he sent people out to interview dummies out on the street in LA, and asked them what they thought about the debate from the night before (um, the debate hadn't happened yet, and all sorts of dummies had all sorts of opinions on the debate that hadn't happened yet.  And they were specific about things they remembered from the debate the night before.)

And then there was the reporter who went to Ohio University the other day for a Barky appearance, and interviewed students about Benhghazi.  Students laughed about Benghazi, many of them had no idea what had happened.  Had not heard about it.  Didn't care, one old guy (must have been a professor) said it was all the fault of Republicans.

That is why Barky is getting as many votes as he is, so many idiots who vote.

133 Whoa. Rereading the 12th Amendment brings up the possibility that if it's a 269-269 tie, Joe Biden could end up as president. If the Senate votes for Biden, and the Democrats prevent Romney from getting 26 delegations, and the deadlock lasts until March 4th, the VP becomes the president. Ouch.

136 So let me see...

Weak Romney (OH + NH) = 22 EV
Weak Choomy (NV + IA + WI + PA) = 42 EV

And all of them (screw you, Greg) are trending Romney.

Go big, Governor. The difference between a nice 280 EV win and a pudding-worthy 322 EV landslide is right, freaking, there.

145 I know polling data is what it is.  I don't care.  I'm giving Romney all the "weak" Obama states, and calling Michigan "likely" for Romney.  Of the 8 states listed as likely for Obama, I'm giving 3 of them to Romney.

He can have the rest.

Thus spake I.

146 I would love to see Oregon go red, even if Mitt doesn't need those EV's. It's psychological. You can easily drive from the Canadian border to the Mexican border without ever crossing into blue state territory. With Oregon going red, you could also drive from sea to shining sea without hitting a libtard state.

147 So, if we don't get Ohio, either Wisconsin OR Nevada would be enough, assuming in Nevada's case that we retain control of the House. Pretty good. I'd like to go ahead and GET Nevada or Wisconsin ahead of time, you know, as insurance, and put it in our pocket and walk away, whistling and stuff. So as soon as you can arrange that....

Actually, at that point Biden is merely authorized to act as President.  Not the same thing.

Furthermore, the Republicans currently control 32 state delegations in the House, with one more tied.  Do you really think they are going to lose control of seven delegations?

149 CAC,
WTF is up with Intrade? R trading at ~$36?
I'm growing more convinced that R is going to win (especially if he expands the map by going after WI, IA and maybe PA) and really tempted to make some easy money betting on R.
What do you think?

Intrade is a sack of shit. They had over 60% odds that the supreme court would overturn the IM. It only takes less than $1,000 to shift the numbers there. Big investors can just buoy the numbers up for fun and it is mostly consisting of foreign investments apparently as well...

159 I know you have to do this by polls and tossing chicken bones, but take it from me, you can move New Hampshire from Lean to Likely Romney and maybe even safe. If yard signs and 4x8s were polls, then it would look like Romney by 12. Trust me, UNH/WMUR is pulling every trick to keep the poll numbers favorable to Obama/Hassan and even then it's starting to trend Romney/LaMontagne.

167 Wisconsin will fall to Romney before this is over. Obama must defend MN, WI, MI, OH, and PA and pretty much run the table on all of them to win. Romney just needs two or three of those states.

Penn and IA will go Romney.  Nevada will as well.

I think the final tally is going to be Romney 320ish and Obama 220ish.
