It would be great to see turnout nearly equal that on the Democrats' side, for once.

Not to mention ruin any assumption that Barrett, Falk or whoever wins has any momentum.

27 Well, I cast my vote around 11:45 this morning in my ward building in Ashwaubenon... voter #150. on average, I'm guessing that means there's a pretty decent turnout, though I haven't really voted in primary since I moved here, so I have nothing to compare against. Sad thing though: because of that shitassed court ruling, no id was required. I could have said I was Fauxcahontus, queen of the 1/64th red women, and as long as that name was on their roll, viola. fuck the dems. voting should involve just a bit more rigamarole and verification.

I'm not going to HuffChoads to check but I assume they mean that all the April 17 tax receipts might have been greater than the outflow of money. First of all I don't believe that anyway. Second I'm sure it completely ignores the long term liabilities. Third you don't need a budget for a surplus or deficit but it's the height of irresponsibility that the donk cocksuckers haven't done one.

58 Report from the ground...I voted in my mixed rural/suburban township in Chippewa county at 10:30am. There was a line of 15-20 peeps. I was the 402nd person given a ballot since the polls opened at 7:00am. There are ~4,100 registered voters in the township. Poll workers told me they had maintained the same line size since opening at 7 - no breaks at all.

Averaging under 2 votes per minute is pretty slow given the fact that they have 12 voting booths. The reason is that the ballot is confusing to all those who have not been paying attention. There are R and D primaries on the same ballot. You can cross-over, splitting your votes between R and D but you can only vote once per race. The poor poll workers had to explain this to everyone in line in front of me - over and over and over.

Wisconsin's voter ID law was passed then put on hold by the courts - so it isn't in effect now. I decided to show my ID anyway to cut down on the amount of time it takes to get half deaf, older poll ladies to understand my name. The lady took one look at my drivers license, turned on a full bore crabby face, and said "The courts said no ID's!". I told her the courts said they were not required - not that we couldn't use them. She refused to even look at my ID, telling me to state my name and address. I did - 4 times until she heard me right.

71 I did the smart thing and voted for Falk (convinced two friend to do the same thing, as well) and the protest Lt Gov candidate. It makes zero sense to me why many Republicans in WI aren't doing the same thing. Voting for Walker accomplishes nothing other than making sure he faces the challenger who will beat him. Why do I say that? Because Walker still doesn't have a good strategy to run against him. Falk would have been the Union stooge. Barrett is running far away from them (but will be in their pocket when he's Gov), and the whole reason for the recall isn't even brought up. Walker has another poorly produced, ineffective ad up with a forward vs backward theme, but it's too soft to do any damage. With the millions and millions of dollars he's had to spend, the fact that Walker couldn't open up even a small lead over Barrett is troubling. And don't think the Union money won't come flooding in for Barrett after the primary. Anyone who voted for Walker is an idiot who will get what they deserve when he loses this recall. This did not have to happen.
