— Ace I was wondering what they were warning about -- was it the "red hair" thing? (No, as it turns out.)
It seems they mean this hoax, claiming that James Holmes was goaded into the shooting by lulz site 9gag.
Seems to be entirely made up, in order to knock 9gag.
Screencap of the post -- which was almost certainly made up after the shooting -- here.
BTW: Check out Supply Side Politics for a side-by-side comparison of Holmes and Lougher. Same psycho eyes (too much white showing at top and bottom), same barely-suppressed psycho laugh turning their mouths into a knowing smile.
Thanks to AltonJackson for that.

San Diego - A San Diego neighbor of alleged Colorado shooter James Holmes remembers him as a very shy, well-mannered young man who was heavily involved in their local Presbyterian church. "He seemed to be a normal kid, I don't know what triggered it. This makes me very sad," said Tom Mai, a retired electrical engineer.
Very shy, huh? Seems to me he likes to reach out and touch people.
Go figure.

Strange how it's been - what? - 15 hours now, midnight, yet we don't know dick about this guy.
Where are the interviews with his fellow PhD students?
Where are the interviews with his graduate school professors?
Where are the interviews with his undergraduate professors?
Where is his facebook page?
Where is his undergraduate web page, or his graduate school web page?
If this dude were Tea Party, we'd be seeing that stuff 24x7 already.

"If there's anything to take away from this tragedy it's the reminder that life is very fragile," Obama said, calling for a moment of silence from the audience. "Our time here is limited and precious."
In a particularly odd moment, several of Obama's supporters in Fort Myers chanted "Four More Years" as he concluded the decidedly apolitical event.

However, it also amazes me how many conservatives who ought to know better *still* end up handing bushels of their hard-earned money over to the liberal loons who own and run ABC.
ABC News? ABC Entertainment? Disney? Pixar?
All part of the very same giant, reeking shit sandwich.
When you become a patron of any part of that particular media empire, you're implicitly subsidizing left-wing "journalistic" bottom-feeders in the ABC News branch like Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos.
I have a simple rule in this household. When the younguns want to go to a Disney theme park or want to watch a Pixar movie or buy Disney/Pixar toys or watch a show on ABC Family, I simply say, "NO." And I find something else for them to do.
Starve the beast.

Eh? We don't know what "interrogation methods" were used to get that point. If you guild the booby traps assuming you won't get caught, then you get caught you may change your tune on hoping they go off.

They are prescribed for anxiety range disorders. The whole goal of the med is to stop you from constantly worrying about consequences. Yet another great treatment from brain tinkerers inc. Instead of treating the underlying cause of excessive worry, they make it so you can't worry, then you do stuff without worrying about what might happen. See? FIXED! Your anxiety is GONE!

Incidently, I've got family members and friends benefiting nicely from SSRIs. I think the problem is the docs don't do proper followup (which IIRC is monthy appointments during the initial period, followed by yearing are semi-annual followups.)
Also, the best practice treatment is SSRI's mixed with monthly (or so) talk therapy (usually with a LCSW or PhD rather than a MD psychiatrist.) I wonder sometimes if too many Primary care docs throw those scripts out to cure "the blues" when it really needs to be specialty trained psychologists/psychiatrists

That's just grasping at straws. The villains are much more interesting characters. If you remember the Batman tv series and the 80's-90's Batman movies were all villain driven. Nicholson as the Joker, Carey as the Riddler, DeVito as the Penguin, Tommy Lee Jones as 2 Face, Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy, Ahnuld as Dr Freeze, and Michelle Phefifer as Catwoman.
Heck, when we were growing up we used to cheer for the bad guys in pro wrestling.

The intention is for people to figure out how to cope with the anxieties, not completely ignore them.
It doesn't mean that individuals, doctors, or therapists don't abuse the shit out of them in either their use or prescription.

When I was an actor in the local theater, I always got to play the villains, since I had the chops to do it.
"rooting for the villains" is perfectly sane. Becoming one in real life is not.
