By exploiting waste heat at adjacent utilities (one of our favorite forms of energy around here), the price can probably be brought down to $5.50 a gallon. By selling the proteins and other byproducts from the algae for pet food, the price can be brought to $3.50 a gallon in the near term.

45 I'm still really curious to see how they manage to wrangle the Hulk into working with the others. He's not exactly known for being rational or controllable or a team player, and there's been nothing in the previous Hulk movies to suggest that he's anymore than a living, breathing green hurricane.

Banner was trying to control the Hulk? I don't remember that. I remember him tossing himself out of a helicopter so that he'd turn into the Hulk, but that's a far cry from him actually joining a team and working with others for reasons beyond his rage.

I'm building up a library of films that I can watch over and over. My most recent purchases include Designing Woman, Boys' Night Out, The Brinks Job, Heartbreakers, The Slender Thread, A Patch of Blue, Wings of Desire, Dororo, Emperor of the North Pole, The Wishing Stairs, Memento Mori, Transylvania, and Three Days of the Condor.
The most fascinating thing to me about Scarlett Johansson is that she's an anti-actress. She's so horrible that she's doing something else entirely instead of acting. It's a performance of some kind, but it's closer to a child playing house or having a tea party with her stuffed animals than it is an adult woman acting.
If you want to see her absolute worst performance to date, see The Island, with the great actor Ewan McGregor. It's a nearly surreal experience. All it took for her to get where she is was to grow giant knockers. Hollywood, in all its perversity, loves former child actresses who develop into lush sex toys.
Oh, and if you want brilliant, tragic acting, watch Head-On (Gegend die Wand), starring Sibel Kekilli, a Turkish-German actress. The film is stunning. As soon as Kekilli become a massive star, and the German press revealed that she had been a hard-core porn star. She's been dealing with persistent death threats ever since.
I have experienced myself that physical and psychological violence is seen as normal in Muslim families. Unfortunately violence belongs to the culture in Islam. -- Sibel Kekilli

Well you also have to remember that when you typically see the Hulk come out, he hasn't exactly had any real allies on his side. So who's to really say how he will react in a situation like that? And the end of the movie had Banner intentionally increasing his heartrate to become the Hulk.

A federal judge (libtard Susan Bolton appointed by Clinton) blocked police in Arizona from enforcing a section of the state's 2010 immigration enforcement law that prohibited people from blocking traffic when they seek or offer day labor services on streets.
Somebody went judge shopping to find one that makes it legal to block traffic if you are an illegal. BTW, she was recommended by Kyl, appointed by Clinton and confirmed by unanimous consent. (yes all Republicans voted for her)

There was an outstanding "Defenders" maxi-series about ten years ago created by Kurt Busiek and Erik Larsen where the Hulk, Sub-Mariner, the Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange had a curse placed on them that automatically brought them together at crisis points in spite of the fact that they couldn't stand each other.
It was very clever and much funnier than that comic was known for being. It only lasted for twelve issues, though.

I saw it last night. Notwithstanding a couple of persistent flaws (some excellent exterior shots degraded by the limitations of digital video vs. film and the "first person" perspective shots), I rather enjoyed it. Given that the movie portrays our service members as something other than murderous, psychotic rapists, it's of no surprise to me that it has garnered such a large number of harsh reviews. I think you'd appreciate it.

Oh yeah. I'd like to see how they get him on their side. Now there were two animated Ultimate Avengers films a couple years back. In the first one the Hulk wasn't so much on their side when he comes up. Its more that they stopped fighting him and focused on the aliens and he did to. And it is likely you will see them fight against him some too in the Avengers since you see the others fighting eachother a bit.
And see its easy to use italics.

Yes, Cameron, it's completely voluntary. They have wood, cement, bricks, and cinder blocks readily available, but they choose cow shit because they're environmentally responsible, these people who earn $2000 a year and have a life expectancy of less than 30 years.

Ah, yes. I had forgotten about her "Bush vote == rape" equivalency what with so much stupid oozing from Hollywood. Nevertheless, I maintain that she was convincing as the weird, mousy wife in BJM. Perhaps the overall weirdness of the film helped.
Also, I'm ashamed to report that I still haven't finished Chains of Olympus. The difficulty curve took an exponential turn, I put it down due to vacation, and I haven't been back to it since. I'll probably have to restart it since I've forgotten all of the moves...

Would be hard for Nick Fury to be an Affirmative Action hero. Since he's actually a white dude in the mainstream Marvel universe.
I think Black Widow was originally a member of Hydra. So she's sort of been a double/triple/quadruple agent at times.

Real life rarely if ever works the way you see in TV, Movies, or Comic books. Break a bottle over someones head, odds are good he's looking at a concussion and a ton of lacerations, at a minimum.
Very few people actually get knocked out in one punch. Bullet proof vests work great, they will save your life, but believe me when someone shoots you 3 or 4 times at point blank range your not jumping back up again a few minutes later saying, aha! I'm wearing a bullet proof vest. I shall now commence in kicking your ass.
No the reality is it feels a lot like getting hit about 4 or 5 times by a baseball bat for each round. Believe me, you are a serious he-man if you can stand up on your own afterwards much less leap to your feet and go after the bad guys.
And of course my personal favorite, no super hero on the planet is ever subjected to forces like inertia or friction. Otherwise every time Superman ever snatched someone falling out of the air he'd kill them outright, and lets not even discuss what would happen to folks like the flash.. ick.. lol..

Which might help mitigate certain forces like friction (still some serious problems here but I'll leave that alone for now), but he'd still be subject to inertia. It's much like that old adage, it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end.

Diaz was good in The Mask (the only Jim Carrey film worth seeing), but the redhead reporter in that film was waaaaaaaaay hotter.
Nick Fury was once played by David Hasselhoff. Which, I dunno. Even given the pre-Ultimates Caucasian Fury, I dunno.
As far as the Hulk's sex drive, doesn't testorerone shrink the 'nads? Yeah, I know rapes are crimes of violence, not sex/passion, but I don't think he had anything against women. That's how I rationalize it, because "the comics were originally for kids" is pretty unstaisfying. (Can you imagine how dark and awful it would be if they were adultified up? See also Lary Niven's essay on Superman's sex life. I think it's called "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex" or something.)
And I've heard that there's some retcon about the Hulk where Banner's super-genius has enough latent sway so that when the Hulk smashes and throws stuff, the part of him that's still Banner makes sure that the trajectory is such that no one gets hurt. Not sure how that tracks with pre-retcon portaryals, but to handwave away a convention, it's okay. (The other option, which has been done, is deconstruction, where the hero gets the bill for all the mayhem, or he's regarded as a worse menace than the actual villain, etc. etc. The Incredibles touched on that, and I know I've seen it elsewhere, and it's usually full of angst.)
Also (and finally), Hawkeye. He's not even a superhero, he's just a really really good archer. Black Widow at least is a superspy, fluent in a ton of languages, and so on. Hawkeye has a bow and arrow. On a team with a Norse god, a genius inventor with an armored weaponsuit, a biologically enhanced supersoldier, and a big green monster. Yeah.

And I supported that casting choice wholeheartedly. Absolutely anything that kept him too busy to pursue his singing career was a great thing IMHO.
" On a team with a Norse god, a genius inventor with an armored weaponsuit, a biologically enhanced supersoldier, and a big green monster. Yeah."
Something funny about that isn't it? Why does there always have to be at least "wonder twin" sort on every team? Ok, your power is turning into water and a bird of some sort? Wait, you can breathe underwater and talk to fish? Oh heck yes, that will come in seriously handy in fighting crime.
Lol..

I agree, wholeheartedly. Sadly I knew how this was going to end long before it began. We went about it the wrong way from the get go - and this ridiculous notion we have that somehow you can fight a war in which no one gets hurt, well, just idiotic really.
We've done this to ourselves time and time again since Nam. Personally I think there ought to be a completely different protocol when it comes to going to war.
First we mandate by law that if we are going to war, or into a police action, or whatever BS name they want to call it, that you have only two states of being. You unleash the dog, and only leash it again when it's done.
No Rules of Engagement, no fluffy bunny slipper crap - when you decide it's time to put troops in harms way, you do it with the understanding that they are going in no holds barred. They are going to hit with maximum firepower and keep doing so until either there is no more enemy to kill, or until you decide that's it, were done, and when your done nobody gets left behind to "keep the peace".
We also need to get out of this ignorant notion that we can build a modern, functional nation from a bunch of backward ass, corrupt, ridiculous buffoons who have been taught to hate us since the day they were born. Were beating a dead horse there, it's a total waste of time, energy, effort and resources.
So in the future I hope we'll finally learn or lesson. No more of this coalition bullshit. No more of this mother may I crap. No more pouring billions into some worthless country that is just going to spit in our face once they get what they want. We find out your evil regime helped kill even one innocent American citizen, we are going to come after you and turn your shitty little country into a parking lot. No if's, no ands, no buts.
We are not going to try to win your hearts and minds, or any of that horseshit. If your civilians aren't smart enough to get out of the way or throw your ass out, if they do happen to get caught in the crossfire, then tough shit. We'll do what we can not to target them directly, but if you store military shit in a hospital, hell yes the were going to blow it into the ozone. No more of this Marquis of Queensbury horseshit. We very much need to adopt a "Fuck with the bull, you get the horns" style foreign policy. It ain't pretty, but lets face it - it does work.
Just my 2 cents worth, YMMV
