I asked him, is this the first you've heard about Newt wanting to do this? I knew the answer before I asked. Of course it was. Such a reasonable guy who gets his news from only the liberal side. I told him Newts been saying this for at least six months, how come you've just now heard it?
So then he asks me why Newt would do such a thing. I said because Obama would not debate Newt. What?! Disbelief. "Of course Obama would debate Newt as much as Newt wanted." False. He wouldn't debate McCain more than the minimum expected. What?! Disbelief.
He leads from behind. "What does that mean?" He lets other people make decisions for him so he doesn't have to commit to anything. "Well who is leading?" Congress. He let Nancy Pelosi write the bills.
Obama's his hero. Can't do anything wrong. I'm just tired of hearing about it. I try to be reasonable and nice because for one I'm conservative and tend to keep my politics to myself. But also we are friends, and I don't want these things to come between us. I guess I just can't continue to be friends and listen to this nonsense.
But I'm sick of hearing this shit. I told him him flat out, what you want is higher taxes...for everyone but you. What you want is for people, other people, to conserve energy, but not you. What you want is for other people to pay for insurance, and for other people to make sacrifices, but not you.
God damnit, I've had it. I did not start this conversation, he fucking started it.
Why can't people leave me the fuck alone? They find out you're conservative and they want to jump on your ass. What is up?

Yup.. that's actually my biggest worry really. Fortunately I bought an old beater a few years ago that I have almost no money into at all, that's my drive back and forth to work car, so they could completely trash it and I still wouldn't be out much.
Rather not see it happen of course, but I seriously doubt any of these guys will actually do anything face to face. I do fully expect my car to get hit, apparently they've already gotten my cubicle at work (friend told me about it, but I haven't been there to see it yet).
Should be interesting if nothing else on Monday, my work email is still inaccessible so I can only conclude that for whatever reason my access has been suspended.

The guy giving me legal advice on this is a retired Judge, and an old family friend. He told me under no circumstances should I reply to any of the negative emails or death threats, to just be aware that any replies I might make they would almost certainly be used in court later should any of this wind up in court.
It's tough though.. they are so hilariously bad. I really wish they'd teach a course in how to properly threaten someone at a local community college or something, just so I could refer these poor pathetic souls somewhere for the help they so obviously need.

Yeah, the baby girl has had a drippy eye for several weeks. Despite the fact that she weighs just under 20 pounds, she was a bottle baby (before I got her) and has always been somewhat fragile, healthwise. Wait till I try to get the drops in her eyes, that will be fun . . . The other one heard the door of the carrier open and it was like he was shot out of a cannon, whoosh, gone! She's a whole lot easier to deal with than he is, at least there's that.
