So I have no idea where this will come down. I have trouble imagining the Magic Red Button Solution to everything, where we just got lucky enough to have Obama confessing political sins on videotape.
That seems so enormous I just can't believe it. No one gets that lucky is my motto.

To get Andrew's book on kindle through Ace go to the upper right hand corner of his Amazon page and use the search function. Chose Kindle for category then type in name of the book. A page with a couple of choices including his book will show up. I did this yesterday.

Anyone who was interested in the truth behind Obama's past already knows it. Anyone who doesn't know exactly what a "community organizer" is and does by now, by now probably doesn't care.
So pretty much no matter what Obama says on these tapes, its going to be irrelevant. His partisan defenders will just say that whatever it was, it was 20+ years ago, isn't substantially different from already public information about him (eg Obama already said explicitly in his book that he liked to hang out with Marxist professors), and doesn't change anything.

I doubt it will be any huge revelation for those of us who paid attention in 2008 and knew SCOAMT was a literal Marxist professor who spent 20 years in a racist black liberation theology church.
For those who don't pay much attention (90% of voters), it will be a revelation. There's just something about seeing something on video. I would talk to people and say "Look, Obama mentioned seeking out socialists in college in his books" and they didn't believe it, even though it's simple enough to prove. Having push some socialist crap on camera in college would be awesome.
He could always say he doesn't believe that way anymore, but that compresses the timeline down quite a bit. So, Mr. President, presumably you stopped being socialist after you told Joe the Plumber that is was good to spread the wealth around, after you got your start in Chiacgo with the socialist New Party, after you had a more liberal voting record in the Senate than Bernie Sanders, who is an avowed socialist. When do you have this epiphany, and why?

It really takes time for a narrative to develop and actually get accepted by significant enough populations. Short of something catastrophic where a one or two point swing in several swing states can happen, mass shifts don't happen at the last minute. Also, there has to be a foundation laid so that a last minute "bombshell" can validate a narrative that was already developing.
Believe it or not, voters are establishing their votes now. They are assessing their personal status and measuring who is likely to serve them best already. And the actual argument is one of status quo with the incumbent or, simply, not. Having established a default position, moving off of it later and closer to the election will be more difficult. Voters will have already committed to a position and would have to argue themselves out of it.
The 2012 campaign for/against the incumbent has already started even by those who aren't political nerds. The milieu is developing now. The GOP et al. need to set the narrative waaaay before late summer. It's why the Democrats have been desperately trying to bring up issues not of an economic nature and not reflecting Obama's performance. It's why the MFM is talking up the "recovery" and how high-priced gas is good for us. The foundation gets laid NOW.

There's probably talk of the need to radicalize minority groups. Blacks were already pretty radicalized in Obama's day. So my bet would be it was discussion about how to radicalize hispanics so they vote 90% Dem like blacks do.
Probably talk about how once you get 90% of the black and hispanic vote, given demographic trends, you can then easily takeover with only a minority of the white vote.
Probably talk about how the Democrats can focus on the upper income, educated whites and ignore middle and lower class whites since they are all racists.
