Chicago Area Moron Gathering On Election Eve
— Dave in Texas

Longtime AOS moron commenter Sassy asked me to pass along an invite to a moron meetup on Election Eve in the "Chicago Loop Area", which sounds like a biker/crossdresser hangout but whatever.

Details available at a yahoo board which you have to register for so they know you're not a very good stalker. 7pm startup. Details here.

I met Sassy once and she didn't kill me. So that's something, huh?

Also, let's take this opportunity to open up ideas for any morons who'd like to gather up on Election Night. Bring pudding and be with your friends.

I recommend butterscotch. Very creamy.

2 The "Chicago Loop Area?" Is that like the "Grand Central Underpass?" Because I had no idea something that kinky was actually LEGAL.

6 So, DiT, where is the football thread so we can discuss, in great detail, the importance of the Chiefs v. Chargers game? What, this isn't America's game of the week..... Posted by: Mallamutt, RINO President for Life at November 01, 2012 08:48 PM (OWjjx) I have to wonder what the hell the NFL Network was thinking when it chose THAT game as its broadcast game for this week of the season. I know there was a lot of pomp and circumstance before the season began about how good KC might be, and how San Diego might make a run at the AFC West, but... really? Was anyone expecting this to be even mildly interesting?

31 With good fortune in the returns, downtown Chicago will be a tasty place to be on Tuesday night. May I suggest the bar at the W Hotel? Usually filled with hipster urban douchebags, it would be an easy place for some marauding morons to take over. Right on Lakeshore Drive at Erie. A very short cab ride from Obama HQ, if some might want to do some taunt cruises.

I disagree. Hillary will be fine. In 2016, the press will embargo all of this, just as they've done it now to the extent that Obama's campaign is still viable.

Meanwhile, a senior Obama campaign aide slammed Brown for his comments on Wednesday in light of his own botched performance during Katrina. “ItÂ’s pretty rich coming from somebody who has an abysmal record on management of emergencies,” campaign press secretary Jen Psaki told CNN. “I think the people of New Jersey, the people of Pennsylvania, the people of Connecticut, where IÂ’m from – my family was evacuated – are happy that the President jumped in and moved quickly in response to this storm.”

110 76 Ruthless.. I have heard Jackson Hole is pretty amazing. God.. I would give anything to be able to live out and away from people. I have had it with the burbs. Houses all around.. no privacy. This is what I want when I retire. Just live out in the boonies.. just me and hubby.

Heh, I hate to tell you this but I will be living in a 2000 sq. ft. log house in a private compound about three miles from anywhere, just along the Elk Refuge 4 miles NE of Jackson. Indoor hot tub, fireplace, views of Tetons. Got a gig as a property manager for a bunch of rich folks who want someone to keep an eye on their "mountain cabins" (some as big as 14,000 sq. ft.). Free rent, cash and a new Lincoln Navigator to drive. They're almost never there, so for me it's like dying and going to heaven.

200 172 People are going to start dying, quickly, in New York. Diabetics need refrigeration for their insulin. Not really true. Refrigeration is for long term storage. 99% of diabetics using insulin aren't going to have more than one vial, maybe two. Room temp is how the medication should be taken. (Cold insulin stings like a bitch) What they have to avoid is the insulin becoming hot. Heat causes the different "parts" of the insulin to break apart and they can't be remixed.

204 Welp, had to have the talk with my 13 year old daughter. I'm sure it wouldn't be psychiatrist approved. She was in trouble for public display of attention at school today with her "boyfriend". Asked her if she's had sex, answered no, as if she would tell me anyway. Then asked her if she wanted to have sex with her BF, again answered no. Then the protestations began as I told her that when she does, it will totally suck and be over in about a minute and she'll forever regret it (at 13). I had no clue what else to say on the fly like that, but pretty sure she'll behave just to never have that convo again.

259 "DAVE IN FL
Care to tear this shit apart?"

I already wrote the update for tomorrow, after looking into this one. This is normal for this poll, it has been slightly shifting toward Obama the last few days. The shift today is all from Inds moving from R+6 to R+3. It also went from D+5 to D+4.

Obama's ACTUAL lead is 0.07%

So Romney is tied in a D+4 poll that is showing less Ind support than any of the others. With a 2010 turn out, Romney leads by 3.5 in that polls. Basically 51-47.5.

299 To be fair, while I agree that the people in NY and NJ had plenty of warning and opportunity to stock up and get themselves prepared for the worst, the fact that neither the Red Cross nor FEMA have done ANYTHING to help these people -- especially Staten Island and a lot of the Jersey Shore -- is unacceptable. These are the kind of situations that the Red Cross and FEMA were created to handle. They aren't supposed to be there making everything perfect, but they should at least be there in these first days to provide some food, water, clothing and shelter to individuals who truly need it. Otherwise they WILL have a massive upheaval in those places, and not just because people will get fed up and start rioting. The public health hazards incumbent in a situation where there are a lot of contaminated flood waters, vermin, sewage, death and decay are enormous. If you're looking for the perfect venue to release an outbreak of typhoid, cholera, TB, and a host of other terrible, avoidable diseases, then Staten Island as it currently stands would be a good place to start.

361 Might be able to drag the Man out for a Moron Meetup on Tuesday (if we're not on the road). Guess I need to head over to the Yahoo group (it's been like 5257 years since I last visited it).

'I met Sassy once and she didn't kill me. So that's something, huh?'

She's probably planning to kill you last. Or maybe she expected you to try to draw on her as she walked away and was going to turn and blast you at the last second. Or maybe I'm watching too many crappy movies. Or all of the above.
