— Ace Fun video.
Near the end (second clip), he talks about his fear that the American way of life is vanishing, and his talk with Jon Voight that inspired him to speak at the RNC. They were sitting around, "commiserating about the economy," when Voight asked, "Why doesn't anyone in Hollywood ever say anything?"
At that point Eastwood agreed, yes, we're being "chickens."
He also talks about the now-famous empty chair and how he came up with it. He just suggested it, off the top of his head. He's kind of funny and self-effacing about it.

Sorry for the OT so early, but is there anyone out there who would like to help out the cause of political science?
Specifically, I'd like to ask for volunteers who would be willing to help collect data on the prevalence of political signage in your local precincts! The data collection should be pretty easy and only take a couple of hours out of your weekend. The point is to try to prepare a quantitative measure of whether or not there really is any correlation between the "ratio of signs" between candidates, and how a region (in this case, precincts) actually votes.
I see a lot of anecdotal evidence here on AoSHQ and elsewhere, but this is intended to actually make a realistic stab at trying see if there's actually any substance to the anecdotal evidence.
If you're interested, please email me at tqcincinnatus (at) yahoo (dot) com
Please include your: Name, state, county, and precinct name, as well as a description of what your precinct is like (i.e. urban vs. suburban vs. rural)
Thanks to all in advance

I thought it was cool that Clint mentioned Stacey Dash.
He couldn't remember her name, off the top of his head...but he remembered seeing her on Hannity, and referred to all the abuse that'd been directed at her for supporting Romney.
Then Clint said..."I know a lot of people who would like to hire her."

Or just swarm the water stops and food tents and take what you need to survive. Bloomberg is a rank idiot for so many reasons. But, holding marathon race when your citizens are cold, hungry, sick, and soaked, that takes the prize. Second place goes to Christie for his kneeling to Bobo for relief that had to come anyway--there was absolutely no way that Bobo was not sending relief to one of his safe states. It would be nice to see the citizenry of NYC and NJ wake up and realize that the Dims take them for granted to the point of letting them freeze and starve.

Yep, they are weird that way--they made Limbaugh a wealthy man simply because he told the truth. I think their theme song is, "If loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn1qF4aC71U

113 I am sorry I keep posting about Benghazi like I have OCD, and before the 100 post mark. Bad form.
I have to shut that part of my brain off just to function, now. Even hearing the word "Benghazi" is enough to drop a red haze of rage over my vision. I don't know what else can be said that hasn't been said.
---------
The Benghazi slaughter is the most outrageous of all the outrages that have happened under the Barky regime.
I consider it a constant Flaming Skull subject.
And it will be...until we get some justice for those who were betrayed and slaughtered.
It affects us all, because it has sent a message to the jihadis:
"Kill Americans and there will be no response."

Think of the people on oxygen therapy. The folks with the portable gear. Those things require batteries to run. What happens when the batteries run down?
Just think of the marathon organizers being stupid enough to turn people away who need those batteries recharged. The entire NYPD would not be big enough to protect the organizers from being lynched.

Across America it's a constant reminder, "everyone take a fruit or vegetable," school cooks at Marathon High School remind students. But, from little kids to big kids, many students say the new lunchroom guidelines aren't going down so well.
"I think they're too strict for us," Marathon senior Chris Dahlke said.
The USDA implemented new lunchroom guidelines in September. The new federal standards promote smaller portions, and fewer calories. That means less bread and cheese and more fruits and veggies.
"The regulations are based on really sound and scientific studies and evidence of what's happening with kids," UWSP nutrition professor Jasia Steinmetz said.
But, experts say while the changes look to promote healthier eating habits, in actuality its produced a dramatic increase in food waste.
A recent nationwide study shows students are throwing away twice as much food as last year. But, what about here in Wisconsin? We stopped by the lunchroom at Marathon Elementary School to find out.
With the help of some middle school students, and plastic gloves, we sorted through two trash cans from one lunch period. What we found was surprising.
As the students sorted through they found full cartons of milk, half eaten apples, and whole quesadillas. Specifically, 17 apples out of 24 were whole, and 13 quesadillas were thrown away without one bite missing.
Ungrateful little bastards. After all we've done for them.

I love the story about the Hilton Garden Inn manager in Staten Island who is cancelling hotel rooms for marathon runners coming into town due to the newly homeless victims that he has staying at the hotel. He said that these homeless folks can stay as long as they need to and he's not kicking them out for a bunch of marathon runners.
Just when you think Geraldo Revolto can't get any more obnoxious, racist, or stupid - he outdoes himself.

After we had run into each other a few times he must have thought he knew me more than he actually did because one morning as I was just walking by the parking garage where the trailers were on my way to work I almost stumbled into him and he stuck up a conversation with me! I was so surprised that I think I babbled. Fun times.

That would actually be a great counter-marathon. Seriously. They'd have to run in pairs so they don't get mugged, but still...

Who knows? Maybe the Romney/Ryan ticket has longer coattails than we think. Even Akin, that dick, is performing better than expected thanks to universal dislike of McCaskill. Here in Indiana, Mourdock is slightly ahead--well, okay, the race is within MOE, but still. It ain't over 'til it's over.

Screenwriter William Goldman wrote a couple of books about Hollywood, and only two or three people in it came through unscathed. Clint Eastwood was one of them.
You know who even when he was young was little ass?
Dustin Hoffman.

Anyone who loves movies should read Goldman's two books on Hellywood. The chapter on Clint is awesome, he doesn't just come through unscathed, Goldman practically gushes over Clint's professionalism and warmth. The part where Clint picks up his assistant's baby in his office while in the middle of conducting serious business is way cool.

How do you know he hasn't. For all you know he might have donated millions to help with the relief effort. It is common knowledge that he doesn't brag about how much he helps people.
