— Ace As you probably know, comments are down. I've contacted Pixy.
Update: But I think he's out or something. No response yet.
Here's Something: Brit Hume challenges Obama's narrative on the economy.
No, he didn't end the recession. The worst of the contraction was already over before he took office, and would stop contracting before his policies took effect.
But there hasn't been much growth since.
Hume notes that financial contractions usually lead to almost-as-sharp recoveries -- narrow V's, a deep drop down but an equally sharp bounce up.
But not under Obama's watch. Not this time.
And: Romney's straight-talk ad (the minute long one) is playing well with female swing voters.
Gotta be better than that China ad. I don't get that one. I understand it's designed to attract blue-collar voters. But even so, it seems weak to me. Very hypothetical, two many steps away from tangible proposals.

Jordan, No. He. Didn't. True, the recession "officially" ended in the spring of 2009, before any of Obama's programs were enacted, but we have bumped along the bottom of the economic recovery trough for 44 months now, with no real improvement in sight. What is within sight, however, is the very real possiblility that the nation will be in economic recession again before the inaugural in January.

Well, at least that woman in Cleveland got her Obama phone. I hope her phone has been included in the economic "growth" numbers.
Of course, you have to account for the taxes I pay to give her a phone to the "debit" column, plus the transactional costs of delivering that phone to her, so I suspect the whole thing's a net loss, economically speaking.
