Connecticut Bond Rating Downgraded
— LauraW

Response from The Hon. Gov. Dannel Malloy, (D) El Segundo-Supremo Issuer of Unconstitutional Executive Orders and Union Puppet?

“Connecticut has done all the right things to shore up our finances, and Moody’s has responded with a downgrade intended to satisfy their internal corporate need to deflect attention from their big stupid stupid stupid dummyheads and historic lack of credibility.”

That quote was uhhhhh, edited for nuance.

New Connecticut State Song below the fold.

I can give this company here $300million and they promise to add 300 jobs in the state over a period of 10 years....

Assuming a 4% income tax rate on an assume average salary of $60k per worker.....  that's $720,000 per year in additional revenue to the state.... maybe.

102 Here in OK we have low taxes and a repub legislature and repub governer that aren't making a ton of new laws or regulations.  As a matter of fact, we hear hardly anything from them at all.  It's fucking wonderful.

103 Newt could have walked on water to reach the stage, and the MSM would have only mentioned that he seemed to have lost his dry wit.

104 'Cause ESPN is desperately in need of cash and they need your $200 far more than you do.

I'm telling you, I'm a GENIUS!

I thought he gave $20M to NBC sports...because they're moving to Stamford.

105 WTF?  Massachusetts and Rhode Island are gonna try to keep their gamblers and their money in their own state by allowing casinos to open up in their states to compete with our Indian casinos?

It is the taxpayers of Connecticut's responsibility to put a STOP to that, let me tell you.

JUDY!!!  GET ME THE BEST LAW FIRM IN VT AND THE STATE CHECKBOOK!!!

107 OT+ CoolCzech: "I don't know guys: Newt's not my favorite, but how can anyone not admit Newt helped himself enormously last night?"

Yes, he did. And I'm moving toward him not because I'm a big fan but because he's serving the red meat I want and we desperately need WRT the MFM. Obama is not our first enemy. The MFM has been the tip of the spear for Progressives for decades and it is essential that conservatives destroy them and their JournoListing machine for the long war.

I hate the MFM more than Obama because without them, Obama and the likes of him never would have been.

So, now, Newt's my guy and the MFM's assault on him only entrenches my support. It's not the best argument that can be made but it's a damn fine one given our current choices and the antagonists we face. I figure we should kill the MFM to save it... and then not actually save it.

We used to have a guy named John Rowland. They threw him in jail for letting a contractor do some home improvements. They didn't cost me $200 a month.

110 I thought he gave $20M to NBC sports...because they're moving to Stamford.

yep, I did that too.

'Cause GE/Universal needed the cash more than those silly small business owners.

Greedy whiners.

I think you captured the frustration that so many of us have with the RINO establishment approved "its their turn" candidates.  They are all too embedded in the inside the beltway culture to risk missing a critical dinner party invitation that they will never think of serving up any real red-meat criticism of anyone, especially a Dem liberal.
Newt is also a DC insider, but is not averse to tossing a hand grenade into the punchbowl.  I think he may well be able to make a real case against Obamao and present it to the public in spite of the MSM filters.  Try as I might, I can't see that happening with Mittens or Santorum.

117 We sent some utility workers up to CT when they had the big storm ealier this year.   A few had to turn around and come home without working a lick, seems you need to be in the union to do storm recovery up there.     F' those boys,  let em swing...

I just went and flushed the toilet to see if that is correct, and it is.  At least here in Mexifornia the water swirls counter-clockwise.

Sadly true. God damn the liberals for fucking up my beloved California. Bankrupting California is like bankrupting Bill Gates; it takes real skill, determination, persistence, and burning stupidity to succeed in this quest.

But in California's case, the liberals were up to the task.

121 The malfeasance in this state is just awful!  Search Fairfield Metro Station and Kenneth Flatto.  He basically renegotiated a contract with the state, without the consent or approval of the RTM, which led to the forfeiture of significant revenue.  The overages are going to hurt taxpayers.

Flatto has been on a PR campaign (neat little articles about his new private sector role since he resigned from public office) of late.  One party rule is a disaster (just look at Bridgeport).

Also, the chair of the DNC in CT is Nancy Dinardo and let's just say her family is active in Bridgeport.

From the NYT:  Ms. DiNardo's ties to the Bridgeport area are strong. She was treasurer of the gubernatorial campaign of former Bridgeport Mayor Joseph P. Ganim, who is now in prison on various corruption charges.
