— Ace Outten Sie:
"I would say that you leave me no alternative but to join those that call upon you to resign your office," Cornyn said. "Americans deserve an attorney general that will be honest with them, they deserve an attorney general who will uphold the basic standards of political independence and accountability. You've proven time and time again, sadly, that you're unwilling to do so."Holder in response accused Republicans of playing politics, and specifically accused Cornyn of "breathtaking" inaccuracies.
"I don't have any intention of resigning," he said.
More positioning before the contempt vote as Boehner denies he's not on board with this.

I watched that. ....Lying p-o-s Holder then said that he's the AG "who stopped these tactics"....as though it was something that had started under Bush.
I hope he doesn't get away with that line of bullshit. ....The Bush administration discontinued their program that was similar....and they were trying to track the weapons! ....But they deemed it to be a failure, and stopped it.

If a private citizen helped known bad guys buy guns, circumventing the Law, and those guns were used to kill a Federal Official, they would be Accomplices to Murder.
But if you work for the Federal Government, you don't even get fired?
We live in a Republic, where the Laws are supposed to be applied equaly... and those in the 'Mandarin' Class are NOT supposed to be above the Law.

They are coming to the sad conclusion that there is no way to politik out of this. Though they do not want to, there is an inherent duty to the American people to hold Holder accountable. If they let this slide they are not meteorically lowering the bar, there is no more "bar" which has to be cleared. The tragedy of this whole affair is the reluctance of the Republicans to actually take the action they know is necessary. Because it is politically inconvenient, they would like to let Holder stay in office; they have given him countless opportunities to scapegoat and escape offering a mere underlings scalp in appeasement. To which Holder has arrogantly declined, refusing to offer any token the Republicans can present to the American people as evidence of "justice." Holder has dared Congress with an essential "Yeah, so what are you going to do about it?"
This is the sad combination train wreck- multi car pileup-jet crash, that is American politics; Where the malevolent and treacherous act with impunity, thumbing their noses at the system of accountability, because the political will does not exist to hold them accountable with the mechanisms designed to do so.
If Issa will not act, then we might as well pack it in. There is no way to win, if we won't enforce accountability in such a blatant case as this.

Hopefully we'll continue to see dramatic and enjoyable Holder bashing, while leaving that turn in office. Any Obama replacement would be just as bad, but less well known. Like Obie and his henchman. Link them, and then lash both of them every day until the election.
Replacing Holder now is pointless. Just tear him apart, hopefully ruin any hopes of a career in the future for him, and use him as a proxy for Obie. Then, if possible, throw him in jail around or before the election.

Boehner and GOP leadership see this as a loser for the general election, not a winner. They donÂ’t want to offer any new distractions to the Obama campaign or House Democrats from the sagging economy and the sorry state of job creation. While GOP leadership wants the documents from the DoJ to which Congress is eminently entitled, they see this as a net negative.
Right. Holding a crooked political hack in charge of law enforcement in this nation, who is using his office in a malevolent manner to account just turns off the voters.

From internal United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change documents, examined by Fox News, show that among other things, top criminals within the UNFCCC want immunities to avoid challenges in the future based on such things as:
--possible conflicts of interest in their duties,
--breaches of confidentiality in their work,
--violations of the due process rights of those affected by UNFCCC actions,
--making decisions or actions that are beyond the legal mandate of the organization or its subsidiaries.
In other words, they want a license to steal, cheat and lie.
Since only nations can provide immunity, the UNFCCC must get it from member states of the UN.

it's really funny how Holder calls this investigation against him a Constitutional emergency, or whatever.
He started off with "Constitutional crisis," then mellowed it a bit in later questioning to "Constitutional disagreement" (or something similarly mild). He must have realized he came out sounding like an intemperate, excessive, raving lunatic.

If he were a Military Officer, he would be facing jail time for dereliction of duty. I agree that Holder is too imbecilic to be held to the high standard that we expect an ROTC graduate from college to display on day one. So merely stipulating that being obviously too incompetent to enforce the laws of the US, he needs to be replaced is clearly a proportional response to the deaths of 100's of people that he through gross incompetence is responsible for.

Huh. ...Well, they would look at it that way.
But actually, it's not....not a loser for the general.
Calling for Holder's resignation...makes people look up and say "Eh? Whaa? Why are they doing that?"
The cheerleader media has been ignoring the whole Fast and Furious topic...and downplaying it, if they even mention it at all.
Calling for Holder's resignation...charging him with Contempt........these are ways to get this into the media, in spite of them trying to ignore it.
It also lays the groundwork, for Congress to call for hearings on the Intel Leaks.....because Holder is damaged goods, and incapable of handling that investigation in a non-partisan manner.

‘RABFAM’ and new charges
Federal agents believed Mr. Bufalino continued to oversee the operations of his crime family through his lieutenants while incarcerated in Danbury, Conn. In 1979, they went on the attack with an investigation designed to “decimate the Bufalino Family,” according to the FBI file.
It was called RABFAM, for Russell A. Bufalino Family, and it entailed numerous wiretaps, informants, undercover agents and surveillance based out of a new FBI office in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
RABFAM grew from a 1978 FBI investigation in Baltimore into the fencing of stolen goods. Through that investigation, undercover agents developed information on various organized crime figures.
“The evolution of the operation has been changed from a purely stolen goods posture to prosecution of members of Organized Crime Families, either through the purchase of stolen property or other suitable violations of Federal laws,” according to a 1980 FBI report in the Bufalino file.
RABFAM, overseen by the FBI’s Philadelphia office, involved a squad “engaged full-time in surveillance of members of the Russell A. Bufalino Family,” according to the file, which alleged Mr. Bufalino continued to direct family business from jail through two lieutenants. One handled “general criminal matters,” while the other took care of “white collar crime matters concentrating in labor racketeering, political corruption and infiltration of legitimate businesses.”
...
In September 1981, Eric H. Holder Jr., then a federal prosecutor and now U.S. Attorney General, wrote to the Justice Department arguing that RABFAM “has yet to develop a viable, indictable case” and should be shut down.
Mr. Holder wanted to terminate RABFAM because he needed the testimony of a RABFAM informant to pursue a jury-tampering case involving Bufalino lieutenant James David Osticco that had been developed independently of RABFAM.
In response to Mr. Holder’s memo, FBI headquarters wrote that going ahead with the Osticco case and unmasking the informant “would entirely void the continuing RABFAM investigation.”
In the end, Mr. Holder won. RABFAM informant Frank Parlopiano testified against Mr. Osticco at his trial in 1983. Mr. Osticco was convicted of bribing a juror in a 1977 fraud case involving three Lackawanna County officials and Mr. DeNaples, a Dunmore businessman. The juror was the lone holdout for acquittal in a case that involved overbilling the federal government for flood recovery work following Tropical Storm Agnes in 1972.
After the hung jury, Mr. DeNaples and the other three defendants pleaded no contest in the case. He received a $10,000 fine and three years probation.
RABFAM was shut down for good in 1984.

OT: So, from the latest "idiot hopped up on Bath Salts" story (linked at Drudge, from Miami's local CBS station) we get this little nugget:
The [three year-old] girlÂ’s mother told police that she and her daughter had entered the park at 20th Avenue and NE 168th street and were headed to the tot lot when they saw Schuyler lying on a park bench. The woman said the man was completely naked and his genitals were exposed.
She told police she tried to walk past the man, but said he stood up, exposed his genitals to the girl.
With all due respect to the mother, WTF? Am I the only one whose first thought wouldn't be, "Hey, there's a naked man on that bench between me and the kiddie play park. I wonder if i can walk around him?" and whose first thought would in fact be, "Holy crap, naked man! I'm taking my daughter away from here and contacting the police!"
The guy is such a prince, too.
The police report said he told the child, “Come here little girl, I want to stick it in you.”
This is about where I would tell my daughter to hide her face in my neck while I proceeded to beat the crap out of the sicko with absolutely anything I could lay my hands on, up to and including his imminently-dislocated arm.
It gets even more ridiculous when you read this next paragraph:
The bizarre incident unfolded in the tot lot that is located literally in the back yard of the North Miami Beach Police Department.
Okay. I'm willing to admit that this might be an incorrect use of the world "literally" on the part of the reporter; heaven knows it happens a lot. But even if the play park isn't directly behind the Police Department, it's in close enough proximity to the NMBPD that the reporter saw nothing wrong with using "literally in the back yard of" when "not far from" would have worked just as well. Which makes me ask, "He's a completely naked man, clearly high or otherwise intoxicated, lying on a bench near a children's park within a stone's throw of the police department... but he had to make a lewd statement to a THREE YEAR-OLD to get arrested?"

If Mexico's AG smuggled 2k weapons to the Latin Kings and they murdered 100s of people we'd invade.
Hell, forget a poop butt .25 in your tackle box on a Canadian fishing trip and you'll spend hours at the border.

The shroud, the shroud!
Der Totentanz, 1813
By Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Now waggles the leg, and now wriggles the thigh, As the troop with strange gestures advance, And a rattle and clatter anon rises high, As of one beating time to the dance. The sight to the warder seems wondrously queer, When the villainous Tempter speaks thus in his ear: "Seize one of the shrouds that lie yonder!" Quick as thought it was done! and for safety he fled ... Alas for the warder! his doom is decreed! Like a long-legged spider, with ne'er-changing speed, Advances the dreaded pursuer. The warder he quakes, and the warder turns pale, The shroud to restore fain had sought; When the end,—now can nothing to save him avail— ...
