1 I don't think you understand. We aren't talking about Prohibition. We're just worried about these 20-somethings with all that testosterone drinking, that's all. We just want reasonable restrictions.

4 As someone who can't comprehend how adults don't "grow out" of getting themselves drunk, I especially can't understand how adults don't take responsibility for staying away from the wheel after they have drunk more than a couple of beers... Every year, we hear about more and more of these, and the only thing I hear people fearing is "getting caught with a DUI." Hello! Have you noticed that you could kill someone??! Or are you really more worried about a 30-day suspended license?! I just don't get it...

14 Growing up our next door neighbor had a tow truck and the contract for all the wreck towing in the area.

Seeing the contents of what he'd drag back was more than enough to disabuse anyone of even thinking about driving drunk. Blood by the bucket, bone fragments, and pieces of brain stuck all over the inside of the cars...and then the stories of the bizarre situations and places where he'd be called to extract these rolling abattoirs from...

The combination of sub-standard equipment and lousy drivers is why the death rate on Mexican roads is astronomical.

People assume that trucks are just like cars: they aren't.

A tractor needs constant maintenance, or it quickly becomes extremely dangerous. And those trailers are not simple pieces of equipment either.

Yes, this. A motorcycle riding friend of mine died when a guy with 5 DUIs pulled off a side road onto the highway in front of him. He was released by the cops after his blood draw and got his 7th the next week. He was charged with his 6th and with vehicular homicide for killing Harry.
