Pretty good.

Apparently Crossroads now has a sub-brand, "Crossroads Generation," faux-hippishly abbreviated "XG."

So we'll be making a play for these, what do you call them, fools.

And, on top of everything, it's a stupid analogy because you heal faster if you don't pop a blister. Nowadays, judges are hired to be discriminatory and arbitrary. After all, empathy is now considered a legitimate main criterion for a judge or decision. Our judicial system - in direct opposition to over three millenia of history and the very foundations - is now all about feelings and the arbitrary whims of some of the dumbest and most obnoxious people our society can dredge up.

160 I'm not sure there is a law requiring lower court judges to be lawyers, but maybe there is. Congress has the power to create the courts, so they can set this requirement. But Congress has no power to dictate the requirements for Supreme Court justices. On one hand, I think having only lawyers there has made the court worse, not better. But on the other, at this point, you want some pretty good and smart lawyers (so long as they are on your side) writing to expand or contract the law in your ideological favor. Then again, we thought we were getting that with Roberts. I'm fairly certain if we had non-lawyers on the Court we wouldn't have such muddled constitutional interpretations.

Most of the damage was done because the Dems had complete control in the 30's and 40's and got their judges on, then in the 50's and 60's, our side nominated some terrible judges that caused a lot of damage. Brennan and Warren. Since Reagan, we have slowed down the expansion, and rolled it back in some areas. But in general, nothing of significance. That is because we have nominated some terrible (Souter) or wimpy judges. Even when you think you nominate someone great (Roberts), you get an opinion that could set you back for years. If Mitt can get 2 terms in, this could make a big difference. But he must nominate Alito's and not Souter's. This is where the pro-life issue matters. It acts as a proxy to whom the candidate would nominate for the Supreme Court. In any event, it will be a long clean-up fight, so let's continue with it.
