— Open Blogger Some non-political, feel-good palate cleansing:
Originally set for February, the Dragon launch date was pushed back for additional testing.
This launch is long over-due, and I'm not talking about SpaceX. I'm talking about escaping the government monopoly on the business of space and letting the free market do what it does better than any government ever has: Picking Winners.
April 30th is now the date that, armed with the finest minds private capital can buy, a little luck, and an unstoppable desire to do what people tell you is impossible, we leave behind the wasteful, moribund albatross of NASA and get the space program back on the fast-track to success.
SpaceX already has commercial launch contracts inked. This is going to happen, people, and if they show a profit, commercial spaceflight will snowball.

The private sector is finally getting to the point that the government got to 50 years ago. And the private sector is using the knowledge base built by government scientists and launches.
This launch is interesting, but this post oversells it by a massive margin.

Who cares what the UN says about this? Honestly. Israel's biggest problem is that they've too stupid to understand that they are not served by being in the UN, at all, and have to leave that disgusting, fetid, repulsive organization. Staying in that Israel-hating, Jew-despising org doesn't serve Israel and doesn't serve the world, either.
Bibi is very, very, very wrong on this. He should be pulling Israel out of the UN, not begging the UN to stick their noses into new places. The less UN on the Earth, the better. Period.

Well, no. Normally NASA is heavily involved in the designs it contracts out to private companies. But NASA had nothing to do with the development of the Falcon 9 at all, which is why it cost so little (NASA's own estimates were that it would have cost NASA 15 times what SpaceX spent to develop Falcon 9 if NASA had used its normal procedures). And the Commercial Crew Development contracts that helped pay for Dragon are also entirely different - far more hands-off, and thus far cheaper (and not cost-plus) - from NASA's regular sclerotic methods.

Two volumes of clearly impeachable acts by Barky, along with another tome detailing impeachable acts by Barky's junta ... and Issa can't even get around to doing a serious investigation about even one of them. Issa has done nothing.
I guess the question for you is, "What is it that you think Issa is doing, and how do you think that relates to his position while the most lawless, anti-American, insane administration does whatever the f#ck it wants and continues to get away with everything?"
I don't recall Issa even mentioning anything about the clearly illegal campaign financing (and this is an open and shut case with the AVS being turned off) and he hasn't said one word about the illegality of an American politician holding political campaigns and rallies in foreign nations ... for foreigners.
But, maybe all that is too far in the past for Issa ... and too easy. Issa wants something that he can look like he's doing something about but never ends up doing jack. That is Issa's strategy, you know.

I agree that Bibi was speaking sarcastically, but I am not sure that the UN as an organization can be embarrassed.
Their "peacekeeping" troops regularly rape and murder.
They have the world's worst human-rights violators on their human rights commissions.
They have officially condemned Israel dozens of times, but have never officially condemned Communist China, the biggest human-rights violator on the planet.
The institutional anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism is unbelievable (just ask anyone who has ever worked for any UN entity).

I understood it fully. No matter what Bibi might think are his intentions, the effect of his idiotic words are to lend credibility to an organization that shouldn't even exist.
I lived in Israel for years and used to have this argument with Israelis all the time. They don't even understand how the whole purpose of the UN was to do nothing but try to destroy Israel Just look at the percentage of UN resolutions (GA and UNSC) that were just about beating up Israel. It was a HUGE percentage. The UN would have nothing to do if Israel left.
Bibi does not espouse the notion that Israel should leave the UN, which is why he is crying about the UN's anti-Jew policy, as if anyone should claim surprise.

Okay, you (specific you in this case) still haven't responded with specifics. Do you believe that Issa should be drafting and presenting articles of impeachment? Do you believe he should be starting more investigations? If so, what actions do you believe he should take in conducting those hearings? What do you want him to do once the investigation is over? Do you believe that he should be attempting to get Holder held in contempt of Congress? What is it, exactly, that you want him to do? Your response is a bit muddled as you say he isn't doing anything, which implies no investigations, then you glancingly refer to areas that Issa is not investigating, which implies that he is doing some nebulous thing. I am trying to pin down precisely what it is that you want him to do.
I guess the question for you is, "What is it that you think Issa is doing, and how do you think that relates to his position while the most lawless, anti-American, insane administration does whatever the f#ck it wants and continues to get away with everything?"
I'm going off the top of my head here so this is non-exhaustive. He's holding hearing, issuing subpoenas, conducting investigations and ancillary matters affiliated with holding such hearings. I am not saying this is sufficient, by any means, but there's a tenor to the complaints against him (speaking generally not necessarily about your specific comment) that he's doing nothing at all. That is not the case. Again, that's not defending what he's doing or saying such actions are sufficient. I am merely attempting to clarify the parameters of the charge that he isn't doing enough.

They're picking up the British appeasement in that. To them, "Asian" means "Paskistani". To Americans, of course, Asian means what we used to call "oriental", before it was decided that PC no longer allowed any label for Orientals - they had to mixed in with all the other Asians to confuse the issue.
Personally, I loved it when the idiot Brits started trying to call suicide bombings "anti-muslim bombings", since the bombing of civilized people by priomitive muslims cast a bad light on all primitive muslims ... ergo, the suicide bombing of kuffars was an act against muslims. Availability of weapons and ammo is one thing that really makes me think that the writers of the Walking Dead haven't got clue one about America between the coasts. I was stationed at Fort Benning, GA for a couple of years. I can tell you that all they would have to do is check out a couple of local houses and they would have more than enough weapons and ammo to outfit a platoon. That is before mentioning all the canned good, fuel, etc. that they would find in these places. This show is a perfect example of people with a complete lack of survival skills and mindset written by people that think milk comes from the grocery store. On the other hand, it does have zombies that get killed once in a while.
