Nah. There's a better use.

There's a story out there that these recalls are quietly a HUGE gift to the WI GOP. Before, they didn't have a list of likely Democrat voters. Now, they have near 1 million self-identified Dems in a state of only 5.7 million--that cast 1.6 million votes for the JEF and 1.2 for McCain. They've got the same lists for the recall of the senators.

I wish I could find it but, it's something they've never had before and this allows them to more finely tune who and who not to contact.

This is the same in Ohio.  The recent problems have been with "provisional" voting and early voting, because there are opportunities for fraud and to vote twice.  Provisional ballots are supposed to be kept separate from regular ballots until the residency , etc of the provisional voter has been verified.  No verification, the vote doesn't count.  The problem is with people who come into the state and create temporary address (which was done by a handful of Democrats in 200 , and not truly establish legal residency.

 

"Early voting " has also created the opportunity to vote twice in different precincts, if the documentation is sloppy.  The Republicans in Ohio want to get rid of early voting, and of course, the Democrats are opposed.
