— Ace

Walker released some job figures early, leading to claims they were fake.

Nope.

Real.

1 Holy cow. Love the misdirection on that link.

5 Sorry. Let me clear. The link goes where Ace wants it to go.

The "clear" text in the link says it should go to a Dancing With the Stars article.

7 What's the opposite of "fake but accurate"?

8 I still think Obama will refuse to debate Romney.  He won't go up on stage where he has to face these arguments.  Romney would tear the SCOAMF apart.

20 That's... interesting.

Note that the reporting isn't "Federal Officials have confirmed that the Wisconsin Employment figures, published early by the Walker Administration..." but, rather, that "Gov. Scott Walker's administration says the job-growth numbers he made public earlier than normal have been verified by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics."

See, it's still just what Walker says- and he could be lying.

*sigh*  And I bet they wouldn't even see the difference if I pointed it out to them.

Posted by: AllenG (Dedicated Tenther) Channelling Breitbart at May 30, 2012 02:41 PM (8y9MW)

21 This puts a world of hurt on the Wisconsin Democratic Party, who has been accusing Walker of cooking the jobs numbers.

BTW, their spokesman today said that it looked like the guy that cooked the books on jobs was also the same guy who did the Marquette poll.  Then I saw where he was tweeting prayers to the patron saint of workers.  I almost feel a little sorry for him.  I think he's coming seriously undone.

27 Oh my.  From the WA Examiner:

MoveOn,a giant in the progressive political world and an early endorserof Barack Obama in 2008, warns that it might have to “pull the plug” on key campaigns to help Obama and Senate Democrats if its five million members don’t pony up with at least $5.

Without a rush of new cash, MoveOn says it will have to give up efforts to elect Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, help the recall fight against Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, and energize younger voters whoÂ’ve soured on Washington.

“It's like picking which of your kids you love the most. I just can't do it,” said MoveOn in an email plea. “If we can’t increase our budget, we might have to dramatically scale back or pull the plug on some of MoveOn’s most important election efforts this year.”

Heh, I read that MoveOn article. It didn't say one thing about the 2010 midterms.

I wonder why?

The left's tears will be ambrosia, their cries as birdsong, and they shall rend their garments in grief.

And I shall dip deeply, just as soon as the pudding reaches room temperature.

44 Politifact doubles down: Walker says the numbers are final, and that is "false". This is because the numbers are final according to the *Wisconsin* BLS, but have only been "submitted" to the *federal* BLS, and will not be "verified* by the feds for another three weeks. How often does the federal BLS substantially change the numbers submitted by the various states? The numbers may not yet be "verified" but it seems the odds are they will not change between now and when they are "verified". http://bit.ly/KXXWz8
