I know people want to get excited, and I don't want to rain on anyone's cornflakes, but the Odog's Administration has been like a plague of locusts.  Even if you kill them off after four years of eating your crops, you still have to get rid of the locust carcassi, then replant your crops. 

Now, back to our regularly scheduled Romney cheerleaders' practice, or football kicking or whatever.

The primary vote in Virgina indicates that, yes.  He and uncle crazypants were the only ones on the ballot.  That was what sold me on him: he did his homework and didn't leave it to chance.  That says he will plod along and not make any huge mistakes.  Since Obama cannot run onhis record, he must hope Mitt says something so outlandish or can be demonized so completly that Obama wins by default.

Someone who does his homework knows the answers to the questions come test-time.

(What that said about uncle crazy-pants, I dunno...)

What a fucked up choice. I'll vote for Romney because I know he knows capitalism is in his best interest, whereas Zero benfits for the death of America's greatness.

I don't read Allah.  Haven't really paid any attention to him since he stopped doing photoshops of the D primary season back in '04. 

I just don't pay any attention to polls at this point.  I'll tell anyone who asks that I believe Obama will lose this November, and it's been fairly clear that would be the case for some time now. 

Romney is like that new dolly you bought for your 4 year old, you wrap it up, put it under the tree, then tell her not to open it until November 6.  She might get excited to see the shiny paper from now until November 6, and when she opens it, her heart leaps for joy.  But you knew it was a dolly since November of 2010!  Possibly even November '08.   So no, not excited.

By the way - Pittsburgh has been under Democrat Party rule since forever and is in state receivership.

I'm in one of the blue counties right below Philly. Delaware County was solid red for so many years, but since we have been blessed (?) with a deluge of Philly escapees, they have swung the vote to dems. The only hope here to go red is the disaffected Indy vote.

I grew up just south of Pittsburgh and now live in Baltimore.  I have always thought of Pittsburgh as more of a midwestern city than an eastern one.  Once you cross the Appalachian mountains everything is different.  People are nicer for one. 

That map is exactly why the state GOP was kicking around dividing the Electoral Votes by district.

Anyway, I live in Philly. There are still street vendors sellling photos of the first family. Zero will get the AA vote no problem. But many of the union, owrking class white guys who followed tgheir leadership into the abyss will definitely not be. Don't know if they'll vote Romney, they'll probably not vote at all.

It probably depends on whether a court overturns the new voter ID law or not. The ACLU and the rest of teh usual suspects are about to take it to court.

Ummm...you're in Balmer voluntarily? Anyway, yes, you're right about Pittsburgh being more Midwestern. My wife went to Carnegie-Mellon for a while and she says it felt more like Indianapolis than Philly.

Every Blue spot has been donk controlled forever. And under "Distressed City Staus". Basically recievorship. It works like this, a crew of consultants comes in. They advise against giving the fucking unions everything they want.  They get a smile, ignored, then burned out of their hotel rooms.

MY Sis-in-Law  still gets PAID.... while on STRIKE. They walked out over having a $5, vs $0, co-pay at the Docs office!

I took my boys to the barbershop today and there are still unemployed, but collecting unemp-comp, assholes that plan on voting for SCOAMF. The Repubs don't even try around here.

Seriously there's a stand that has great greek take-out: spanakopita, all kinds of gyros, so good. Lots of other great take-out, like Cajun Kate's, the guy who owns the stand worked for Emeril in NOLA, great pretzels made by Amish, too bad it's only open Fri-Sat. It can get rough at times but it looks like they're trying to keep the floors cleaner and if you want to avoid the crowds go early in the a.m.

You nailed it! My dads farm is just over the boarder in Wyoming county. And yes, he took the gas money! Clarks Summit USED to be a nice town. Solid Repubs on the borough Council since day 1. Until 1 donk got slid in on council, my mom! Now the fucking mayor, that mom put in, is a donk. Their legal screw ups have cost this town of 5500 over 3 million dollars in zoning mistakes/road closures(?) etc.. in 2 years. Over 3 mil, on top of the normal budget. That is how much they've been sued for, and lost.

Bill Scranton Jr was furious. Everybody moves out of Scranton 'cuz of high taxes/shitty services, then wants to turn it into the shithole they just left. Yes, I know it happens wherever these assholes go.
