3 Mother's Day is tough for me. My mom's birthday is May 9th. She would have been 75. She died after battling lung and brain cancer the week Clinton was inaugurated (so I always say Clinton killed my mother - it helps). Be nice to your moms (and dads) while you have them. Happy Mother's Day to our mommy moronettes!

8 Thx, DiT. I always think it's oddly appropriate that I keep track of when my mom died based on Presidential elections. The last thing she did before she went into the hospice was vote absentee against Clinton. Kinda' glad she didn't live to see the current jackhole in office. How's the eye?

Thanks Y-not! Saw my surgeon on Thursday, the retina is fully attached. I'm right where I need to be.

The last thing I said to my mom (and also dad, on March 9 this year) was "I love you." It was kind of a rule we had, we always said that after talking.

It's a good rule and I recommend it.

There was a very short-lived show on last year that I absolutely adored. It received no promotion at all and I just happened to stumble over it. It reminded me of LAS and was, quite surprisingly, not lewd. Naturally, it was pulled off the air.

I really liked it and the few episodes they did are on Hulu. It was called Love Bites. http://bit.ly/J0hXbJ

36 TBS has done pretty well in taking discarded network shows and making them into something. They did it with Monk and I read a few days ago about them saving Cougar Town.

I wish they would do the same for Love Bites.

This week the networks cancelled about 17 shows. So great news fans of Alcatraz! J.J. Abrams will not be able to turn the show into a muddled mess where nothing ever happens!
