In case you missed it yesterday, here it is in all its glory. I'm not sure why they aired it on a Friday night at 10pm.

I watched this twice last night and told others about it, too. It's so well done. Absolutely gripping. I had, of course, read the State Dept's blow-by-blow last week, but this special really helped me "see" what happened. I appreciated Palkot's going thru the actual building to show the rooms and also the animation. They should win  awards for this.

The title of this....."Death and Deceit in Benghazi".....is very appropriate.

After laying down the timeline, in detail, of how Barky and Co. lied about this for political reasons....'politicizing it'....Bret Baer then  ends it with that clip of Stephanie Cutter, sputtering and being snarky, at Bret Baer.

I remembered when that happened.

Cutter had been making the rounds all that day, claiming that..."Romney is politicizing the Benghazi attacks".

She ended the day, with Bret Baer...at the Debate Spin Room.

Baer had an incredulous look on his face, as she was spouting off at him.

It was like he suddenly had a new mission:

To tell the truth about this.

Lesson for Stephanie Cutter:

Don't get pissy with Bret Baer.

He has way more credibility than you do.

Just wanted to pass along this "informal poll" of sorts.

Yesterday I spotted an Obama/Biden sign, here in upstate NY (about 15 mi NE of Buffalo).

What's the big deal, you say?  It's the first one I've ever seen (in '12).  The wife says there's another one on the opposite end of this small town, but I don't believe her.

There were about 4 Romney signs along that main street.

Also, and you'll enjoy this - out in the countryside we saw a couple of signs that say "2012; America VS Obama".  Subtle, no?

46 But I did feel better today. I met 30 new people on a tour of our church for the local historical society. I talked about our food pantry and said , "We are getting new people as clients every week. Despite what the government says the economy is not getting better." A lot of them nodded their heads in agreement and this is a deep blue state. It will still go Obama but not everybody is drinking the kool-aid.

I loved the article the Washington Post had today about Romney campaigning in PA, esp. this part:

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Stoking speculation about whether Republicans may seek to make an 11th-hour play in this long-Democratic state, GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan on Saturday headlined a brief, hastily scheduled rally in an airport hangar here on his way to an event in eastern Ohio.

Addressing an enthusiastic group of about 800 supporters, many of whom got word of the rally only on Friday night, Ryan told the crowd that President Obama is waging a “war on coal” and cast the decision facing the country as one that will have consequences beyond the next four years.

“This is not just a paycheck election,” said Ryan, who wore a red-and-black jacket. “This is not just an election about growing the economy or about giving our kids a debt-free nation. This is about the meaning of America.”

59 Just read a piece (not from NYT, but the Israeli Ynet) about the Magic Negotiations between Choom Boy and Iran.

No date has been set, nor has the actual subject matter, the whole idea hasn't been cleared with Iran's Top. Men. and the Iranians want to add discussing other Arab nations into the "talks."

First, this is fucking treason, an opportunity for Osama Obama to cave in to Mad Mahmoud and sell Israel down the river. Second, it seems odd that if negotiations have been going on "since early in the Obama administration" as Ynet reports, it has taken until just before the election to make it happen.

Where are the House and Senate with impeachment? This is giving aid and comfort to the enemy, which was at one time punishable by something more brutal and final than I am advocating for the Traitor-in-Chief.

But fuck the election. This has to be stopped because it will inevitably be a disaster for America.

Which is what Obama wants.

What is going to be TFG's support of his f'd up foreign policy at the debates?

Is Gloria Allread going to be in the wings to announce that once Paul Ryan tripped a girl while walking out of high school triginometry class one day and is therefore unfit to be VP?

That once Mitt looked at  a girl sideways one day causing her mental distress and therefore is unfit to be president?

72 Just to add to my #59: I do not believe this is something Romney can finesse. I believe he has to stand up for America on Monday night, and tell Choom Boy directly that negotiating with Iran instead of ordering it to cease its nuclear activities forthwith (and backing that order up by necessary means) is treason.

No more Mr Nice Mitt. When you face a traitor (especially one that will sell out the country he swore to protect in favor of his Muzzie terrorist pals), you cannot be civil.

I can't imagine what Gloria Allred thinks she has dug up.

Maybe it has to do with something about Mitt's new house that he built in California?

The contractors maybe hired some illegals?

Who knows.

She should be very careful...going after Mitt.

I don't think she's ever stepped into a firestorm like the one that could come down on her if she is stupid enough to do this.

The mere fact that Choom Boy is willing to "talk" to the fucking Iranians -- when they decide to talk to him -- is, like his contacts with the Tall-eee-bohn and his support of Muzzie terrorists across the M.E., sufficient to impeach him.

But I suppose we'll go straight for the Squirrels and Shiny Stuff defense. That'll show him!

111 What Romney needs to say Monday night is that we helped displace a Libyan leader, that while he may have been a sonofabitch to his people, wasn't a threat to us anymore and replaced him with leadership in Libya that allowed al qaeda to openly organize and attack the United States and it's people.  All while the State Department turned a blind eye to it and then then lied to the American people about the whole shit afterwords.
He won't.

113 In the next stump speech, Romney should pledge to personally strangle every Iranian diplomat or government functionary that gets within arm's reach. Then he should stretch them both out- shoulder height and exclaim "And I can strangle them from seven feet away due to my freakishly long arms and enormous fists" And then crush a couple handfuls of walnuts. Give him an extra five million votes I think.

118 @104 Yes Tami, that was me. My mom's a low-info voter, but with family values and small gov instincts. After the special, she was in full sympathize-with-the-families mode. Mostly, her feelings afterwards could be summed up by "how come no one's talking about this" and "I knew it was bad, but seeing the minute-by-minute account gives you a knot in your stomach knowing that they didn't make it out alive." She called several family members this morning to make sure they catch the rerun tomorrow.

Wouldn't you say that all the Fox viewers would have already decided one way or the other? _____________ I'm not sure. Hopefully, it arms people with information so that they can educate the low-info voters in their everyday lives (friends, neighbors, family, coworkers, etc.). Judging just from my family, mom is as pissed off about Benghazi as she's been about anything in the news, and just aching to talk to people (mostly family) about it. Also, it could force other stations to at least address the issue (didn't CNN run a special too?) just to deny FoxNews an effective monopoly on Benghazi reporting.

151 Its possible the attackers were inspired by protests in Cairo that day. They could conceivably have seen that, and made plans to attack the consulate that night. Also, when discussing the mortar attacks, that seems to have happened at the Annex, which was attacked far later at night. I also found it amazing that our guys could wander around the compound full of attackers...back and forth, etc. then go into the main house several times to pull out bodies etc. Brave guys and unorganized attackers. I also found it sad that they managed to get the window open but somehow only the agent went through and not the ambassador. The Annex attack seemed the more planned and thought out attack - and that's where the important CIA stuff was...hopefully the burned stuff once they heard the consulate was being attacked.
