— rdbrewer When he criticized Obama for his attacks on private equity. Former Congressman Ford made his comments on Morning Joe.
“I agree with [Booker], private equity’s not a bad thing. As a matter of fact, private equity is a good thing in many, many instances,” Ford told the Morning Joe panel.As you may recall, Booker told NBC’s David Gregory on Sunday that the president’s attack on Romney’s background in private equity is “nauseating to the American public. Enough is enough. Stop attacking private equity. Stop attacking Jeremiah Wright.” Later in the day, Booker walked back that statement in a personal YouTube video. But former Congressman Ford says he would not have done so.

I am actually glad we lost the white house in '08. Things were so effed up even a deficit hawk like McCain would not have been able to get the economy rolling much quicker than Obambi... It was a no-win situation for anyone that won.
If (and it's still a big IF) we can get Romney into the White House just as the economy is ready to take off again.. and especially if Romney can get in there and knock down a bunch of Teh One's executive regulations he's put in place.. open up oil drilling, kill EPA nonsense, etc. etc....
If we can do all that, we'll have the White House for a generation.

So Ford is flopping back to "moderate" again? He was "moderate" when in office, then went full commie for a couple of years as a private citizen, and now he's back again. Or, at least that's my recollection.
So when is he announcing that he's running for office again? Doing the "moderate" thing as a Dem should be a big red flag that he's ready to hit the campaign trail.
Note: I'm using "moderate" in relative terms......

Is Mitt smart enough to embrace ObamaÂ’s anti-Mitt campaign?
Obama and his supporters are going to spend hundreds of millions over next few months pushing the narrative that Mitt is a heartless, employee-cutting guy who “Likes to fire people”.
If Mitt is smart, he will pivot at the convention in his acceptance speech saying that everything people have heard in the Obama ads is true. Then he would say his next “troubled acquisition” is the U.S. Government. He would say that the way he saved previous companies was to cut the fat, make it more efficient, improve customer service and get the most value for every dollar.
Then he would launch a coordinated campaign highlighting the most egregious waste in government, with a focus on government workers (ala GSA in Vegas) and say how it takes someone who has a record of eliminating fat-cat employees wasting money to straighten out the deficit. Nothing pisses people off like hearing about federal workers making double what they do and living high off of their tax dollars.
This approach would effectively make every dime of advertising spent by Obama up to that point an advantage to Mitt.

Mitt could stick to the “fire government workers” line, gaining near universal praise from the private sector. He could also couple it with the idea that federal workers who actually do a good job are stuck behind lazy incompetents who should be fired.
What government employee wouldnÂ’t think they are the good one stuck behind some lard ass? This should get Mitt a lot more federal worker votes than he would have gotten before.

When the polls on the subject come out agreeing with Booker and Ford, Matthews is going to lose it. Instead of warning Obama that the Bain shit ain't selling, Matthews would have the Ds lynch the uppity Negroes. That won't end well.
