7 What I do not understand is with all this agitation f0or the Buffet Rule tax on millionaires who don't pay enough taxes the Republicans haven't come back with the Alternative Income Tax rule which has never worked for what it was supposed to do.

And then there is this

That is saying all income now declared as cap gains or carried forward interest amounts to revenues of a few billion revenue when taxed at the top rate?  Sorry.. while it's fun to think that, it makes no sense.  Just the Bush tax cuts for the highest earners amounts to $70 Billion per year, and that's only like 3%.

The Heritage Foundation did an in-depth analysis of all the tax increases scheduled for next year and found that Lori forgot some: The Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) will increase in size and reach Five new Obamacare taxes will start Some 50 “tax extenders” will go away Small business owners can no longer write off business equipment purchases immediately Adding them all together, the total is $500 billion. And that’s just in 2013. Over the next decade, the tax increases will exceed $5 trillion. .....New American

61 People don't get numbers.  It's why it is so easy for Zero to run this game on them, the one that says we're gonna get everything we need to keep this stuff going, by just taxing those rich folks.

They might get the numbers a little better by getting the attention of those that attend packed-house stadium events like NFL games, you know, when everyone is watching the big huge display screen.

Here is how the ads on that big screen might teach them some facts.

You could show them the view of themselves at night from the Goodyear blimp, crowd of 70 thou or so all in the dark, and then say, HEY, ALL OF YOU THAT ARE NOT WORKING, HOLD UP YOUR CELLPHONES!

Pretty big display of little white tombstones, right?  No clear everyone out that held up a phone.  We'll work some questions on those that are left.

Keep it up, more weeding down, fast pace, until we are left with those that will pay out more tax per the Buffet rule.

Stuff like that, simulated.  Run with the cleverness of a Bud Light ad.  Might make some shit sink in a little better.

Too many of teh stupids think there is something like a one to one ratio of them and the rich guy who can afford to give the Fed more.

94 Addressing a forum on women and the economy Friday, President Obama attempted a stab at humor when he told the audience that he wasn’t going “to come over here [podium] until you women settled down.“ He went on to joke that the women present were ”creating havoc.” Whether he intended the quips to infer the ladies’ excitement was due to being in such close proximity to the president, is unclear, but he softened the cheekiness by announcing he felt “right at home to be surrounded by so many accomplished women.” Obama’s remarks follow a White House release of a 65-page report on the same issue. Playing on the current administration narrative that the GOP is waging a “war on women,” Obama used the platform to explain why Congress would be far more productive if there were more women legislators. After announcing that only three percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, the president reminded that “fewer than 20 percent of the seats in Congress are occupied by women.” He went on to ask, “Is it possible that Congress would get more done if there were more women in congress?” “I think it’s fair to say: That is almost guaranteed.”

99 Socialism?  In America?  But Mr. Obamas policies are to the left of Europes socialist leaders who are now forced into making the hard decisions of cutting spending and rolling back services trying to save their countries from collapse.  So in terms of terminology, whatever is the Thelma and Louise version to the left of euro-socialism.. that's what Obama is.  Thanks 52%!

102 Addressing a forum on women and the economy Friday, President Obama attempted a stab at humor when he told the audience that he wasn’t going “to come over here [podium] until you women settled down.“ He went on to joke that the women present were ”creating havoc.”

According to our expert analysis of the tape, Obama said he wasn't going "to come over here until you stupid scrunts have written a big check to my campaign, folded my shirts and finished me off with a slow, sloppy handjob."

That's the consensus anyway.

105 In his address today, Obama gave a short nod to this. “And later this year, women will receive new access to recommended preventive care like domestic violence screening and contraception at no additional cost,” he said. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, and Attorney General Eric Holder participated in the forum. The White House was questioned Thursday on the campaign tenor of the event; White House Press Secretary Jay Carney defended it as not “inherently political” but motivated by a desire to grow the economy. “So what day are you having a men’s conference on the economy?” Ed Henry of Fox News asked. “Well, stay tuned,” Carney responded. “Ed, that’s kind of a silly question.”

111 >>>Here's How Serious Obama & The Democrats' "Buffet Rule" Is

The Buffet rule was never about actually raising revenue. It was about getting the foot in the door, and getting some overwhelming majority willing to punish some top percentile of income earners.  Whether it was the 5% of the 1990's Obama, the 2% of the 2008 Obama, the 1% of the OWS, or the 0.3% who make a million or more a year.

You see that, they just keep raising the percentage, hoping at some point they can get a definitive YES from the American people that this tiny percentage of the population has been too successful and needs to be punished. Once you get that philosophical concession against capitalistic success it is just a matter of making it larger and larger until you get the social justice you are looking for.

113 The measure banning Sharia law in Oklahoma courts passed by Oklahoma voters in 2010 was shot down by a senate committee Thursday. That move prompted responses by the bill's author and the group who filed a lawsuit against it. State Question 755 banned the consideration of Islamic Sharia law, derived from the Quran, when deciding Oklahoma court cases. It passed with 70 percent of the vote in November 2010, so then came House Bill 1552, by State Rep. Sally Kern. That bill passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives on a bipartisan 76-3 vote on its third reading in March 2011. During a hearing this week, members of the Senate Rules Committee voted 6-9 against the measure.

I'm willing to bet that 2012 women voters do show strong at the general polls.

Not everyone loves Limbaugh and there's animosity from a lot of women against whomever Rush supports. He shouldn't have said what he did that was not necessary, and it was inflammatory. But what's done is done.

Time will tell how the socon "2012 war for full term pregnancy" goes.

Candidates' intelligence and preparation are presumably a given (gag).

But those aside, as to which candidate Barry or Mutt is "preferable"? No one likes condescending brow beating and hypocritical patronage. Coming from both Barry and Mutt, and their voices ARE both annoying, what is the "promise them anything" GOP to do but stick a (plenty pigmented FIRST!) VP woman on the ticket? Not because her VP qualifications are her gender or pigmentation. But because she'll perform official duties magnificently.

There ARE skeptical voters, stupid voters, and to spice it up, everyone is angry with the plunging economy already under water. Neither brow beating nor pillow talk will provide the GOP ticket's proof of confidence to acknowledge "no GOP war on women" -- coaxing those who voted for Obama '08 to not repeat that mistake. And running a duo-male ticket promoting two strong patriarchal figures might not get enough of the 2012 women votes to win the general. Just as running another all white ticket won't attract additional contingencies of voters needed to win. /just sayin'

130 UN rights chief Navi Pillay on Thursday called for an “immediate investigation” into the circumstances surrounding the February death of an unarmed black US teen, shot by a neighborhood watchman. Pillay made the comments about the controversial Trayvon Martin case at a press conference in Barbados, as she wrapped up a three-day visit to the Caribbean island nation. “As High Commissioner for Human Rights, I call for an immediate investigation,” Pillay told reporters. “Justice must be done for the victim. It’s not just this individual case. It calls into question the delivery of justice in all situations like this.” Neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman, a white Hispanic, fatally shot 17-year-old Martin inside a gated community in the Florida town of Sanford on February 26.
