Holder: I Might Not Administer Justice This Term
— Ace

Makes sense. Why start now?

Attorney General Eric Holder might not be sticking around for a second term.

Holder told law school students at the University of Baltimore School of Law that he does not know if he will stay in his job.

“That’s something that I’m in the process now of trying to determine,” Holder said. “I have to think about, can I contribute in a second term?”

If by "contribute" you mean "murder Mexicans and US border agents" -- I'm sure you could find a way. You always have before.

In very related news, the "Innocence of the Muslims" filmmaker will be serving a year in prison for parole violations to placate the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

34 People don't want to admit this as a real factor because it's so random. Because it shows that our lives are so impacted by chance. Because it shows how fucking dumb Americans are. And also because it feels cheap to just say "it was the hurricane," when we REALLY should be looking at Big Picture things, where we went wrong, are demographics against us, etc. Talking up a Hurricane seems to many to just be an excuse, a way of avoiding Difficult Questions. I get that. I do. But facts are facts. 42% of the public said Sandy was "important" to their vote. 12% decided in the last week. Romney was winning on the bipartisanship and leadership questions, then Christie hugged him, and Obama surged ahead.

If that's true, and I'm not sure it is, then we really are doomed.  If people who refuse to pay attention (and go to some lengths to avoid paying attention) until a week or less out from the election are allowed, even encouraged, to vote, the Republic is doomed.

In which case:

No, he wasn't.  I'm not sure how that idea even got started.  Sure, he's a big fiscal hawk (sort of), but he was a by-the-book liberal on just about everything else.

In fact, IIRC, he was always on board with the AGW Agenda.

Posted by: AllenG (Dedicated Tenther) All Dead Inside at November 08, 2012 10:14 AM (/eBe8)

55 Also: Romney left a lot on the table The GOP, too. The only time the GOP talked about jobs is when an employment report came out. They'd rag on Obama for one news cycle and then go back to sitting on their thumbs. And gas. Over the past 3.5 years, did the GOP use the price of gas to hurt Obama? Not at all. They mentioned it once in a while, but that's it. So many political opportunities were wasted or ignored by the GOP in the last 4 years.

60 >>>Except--Romney won Independents. Romney won independents by a much narrower margin than earlier polls showed. Earlier he was winning by 10-12. Even higher. In addition, wavering Democrats -- remember, many of them understand full well how horrible Obama's economy is -- may have swung back. One thing I argue about with people here is this: A lot of you guys are always talking about philosophy and theory. I think that's important for governance. A LOT of people are not doing well in the Sh*t  Economy, and do not have anyone to rely on if things get worse.  So they swung for the party who promises More Stuff.  Sandy crystallized that concern

80 Also: Romney left a lot on the table yeah, I was coming up with a list of things with which he could have thrown a wedge at Obama. sure, look, Md loves gays by what 45-55? 40-60? But does that mean we give up on it and play silent? Make obama explain himself. He was in 2008 by going to the right of mccain on some things and playing wink wink with the left on that. He still managed, in 2012, to have it both ways. He supports gay marriage, but before election says, nah, not going to do anything else. List of wedge issues does include price of gas, abortion, etc. Heck, I think all the various economic issues he could have pounded Obama on. Voters apparently still blame bush on everything. So, again, stop with the GOP abandonment of Bush, it doesn't help us. argghhhh.

Yes, he's going to slither out of town. Yes, he's going to get away with murder. An injustice, you say? Get used to it. The satirist Don Marquis wrote, "There once was a very wicked man. And he did very well."

101 But facts are facts. 42% of the public said Sandy was "important" to their vote. 12% decided in the last week.

Romney was winning on the bipartisanship and leadership questions, then Christie hugged him, and Obama surged ahead.

Posted by: ace at November 08, 2012 02:09 PM (LCRYB)

Yes and the fact is that 42% was from an exit poll of Obama voters.  It still does not account for the 68% of the Republicans that sat at home and watched Obama get elected.   The second highest "motivator" in that exit poll was the economy and they all blamed Bush for our current problems despite the fact he had nothing to do with it and the economy has been under Obama control for 4 years. .

Nobody has done an exit poll for them yet.  And if we wait on some enterprising Reporter from the MFM to do it we will be waiting a long long time.

68% of Jews voted Obama.

There is no such thing as an American Jew that gives a shit about Israel.  Israel knows this.  She's not a Jew.

Middle East = MuslHAM = IT MUST BE A MALE if it were to have ANY chance of getting ANY results.

They have ZERO RESPECT for women.  Period.

191 Okay I am late to this party, but here is the thing about NARWHAL - they used the White House website for it, and any number of government websites. They had lots of things where you sign up on line, the WH new software is exactly the same as OFA's campaign software. So, not exactly cheating but not exactly kosher. But you can get the privacy nuts over in moonbat lefty land stirred up with that.

200 troyriser @186. I completely agree. This is just a thought I have, it's not even an opinion really, and people who don't have the same view of God as I do can just ignore it. If indeed Sandy is what did us in, could it be that God in His sovereignty is just allowing the American people to get what they deserve, that is, voted for? That is, people are willing to give up their freedom for shallow and immoral reasons (such as covetousness - vilify the rich!). I'm not expressing myself clearly enough to my satisfaction, but the brain is tired. Please NOTE: I am NOT saying Hurricane Sandy is punishment on the American people. Natural disasters happen all the time everywhere and affect good and bad people alike. I'm just saying I question the timing.

201 John Kerry wants to be new SOS. Posted by: Jack J at November 08, 2012 02:40 PM (t4nf+) What the hell. I'll bet Kerry would at least be able to get the state dept to accurately translate one simple word into Russian. Shrillary is about the bottom of the barrel as SecState, and that's saying quite a bit considering the losers and retards who have presided over that department in the past decades. Then again, Kerry would probably fuck up the translation, too. He was only a D student, himself. Fucking retards, criminals, retarded commies, and lunatic islamists are all that this America-hating administration has to offer. Good enough for an election among those who yearn to exact revenge on us and bring this nation to its knees. Yep.

208 I haven't read it, but I understand that the book"The Harbinger" says our calamities are a result of God's judgementt-not speaking of the hurricane, but of our collapse. And one could not deny that the Old Testament says repeatedly that God brings judgment of nations in rebellion.

After never spending a day hospitalized for three phony-baloney Purple Hearts, my appointment as SOS would be Social Justice for the little people.

Also my Silver Star with "V" devise that doesn't exit was simply a clerical error, but the Silver Star was for ground combat operations and rightfully earned.

Yes, I know it was a result of a "plea," and I understand that Philly doesn't levy heavy terms for any offense, but this is complete and utter shenanigans.
