Cornyn threw everything at him; essentially every complaint that we've covered here. Stedman sat there looking bored with his non-existent chin in his hand. When Cornyn was done Leahy made as asshole out of himself by badmouthing Gonzalez. Then Stedman got the pained look on his face and whiny tone to his voice and blamed everything on politics and that Repubs were willfully ignoring all his awesome wonderfulness.

This is not just about Fast and Furious.
It's about the lawsuit against Florida, over their attempts to purge the illegal voters.....and the leaking of classified information out of the WH....
Cornyn goes through a litany of Holder's misdeeds...and calls him "unfit for the office" he holds....because he has "violated the public trust".

Big Pat Leahy, the liar, doesn't seem to give a shit about a guy who died, all the way somewhere over there, but the fight to keep guns off the streets is more important, of course.
Holder was recently hanging out with Al Sharpoon, buttering up Al's big fat butt cheeks in preparation for Rat-Face Holder diving down on them like a 4th of July corn-on-the-cob and no one gives a crap.
Maybe that shit was taken out of context, of course.

I'm re-posting this info about the POS Holder from an earlier thread:
Holder shut down the FBI investigation into Russell A. Bufalino, the man who ordered the Jimmy Hoffa hit:
‘RABFAM’ and new charges
Federal agents believed Mr. Bufalino continued to oversee the operations of his crime family through his lieutenants while incarcerated in Danbury, Conn. In 1979, they went on the attack with an investigation designed to “decimate the Bufalino Family,” according to the FBI file.
It was called RABFAM, for Russell A. Bufalino Family, and it entailed numerous wiretaps, informants, undercover agents and surveillance based out of a new FBI office in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
RABFAM grew from a 1978 FBI investigation in Baltimore into the fencing of stolen goods. Through that investigation, undercover agents developed information on various organized crime figures.
“The evolution of the operation has been changed from a purely stolen goods posture to prosecution of members of Organized Crime Families, either through the purchase of stolen property or other suitable violations of Federal laws,” according to a 1980 FBI report in the Bufalino file.
RABFAM, overseen by the FBI’s Philadelphia office, involved a squad “engaged full-time in surveillance of members of the Russell A. Bufalino Family,” according to the file, which alleged Mr. Bufalino continued to direct family business from jail through two lieutenants. One handled “general criminal matters,” while the other took care of “white collar crime matters concentrating in labor racketeering, political corruption and infiltration of legitimate businesses.”
...
In September 1981, Eric H. Holder Jr., then a federal prosecutor and now U.S. Attorney General, wrote to the Justice Department arguing that RABFAM “has yet to develop a viable, indictable case” and should be shut down.
Mr. Holder wanted to terminate RABFAM because he needed the testimony of a RABFAM informant to pursue a jury-tampering case involving Bufalino lieutenant James David Osticco that had been developed independently of RABFAM.
In response to Mr. Holder’s memo, FBI headquarters wrote that going ahead with the Osticco case and unmasking the informant “would entirely void the continuing RABFAM investigation.”
In the end, Mr. Holder won. RABFAM informant Frank Parlopiano testified against Mr. Osticco at his trial in 1983. Mr. Osticco was convicted of bribing a juror in a 1977 fraud case involving three Lackawanna County officials and Mr. DeNaples, a Dunmore businessman. The juror was the lone holdout for acquittal in a case that involved overbilling the federal government for flood recovery work following Tropical Storm Agnes in 1972.
After the hung jury, Mr. DeNaples and the other three defendants pleaded no contest in the case. He received a $10,000 fine and three years probation.
RABFAM was shut down for good in 1984.

i have a question about holder's testimony at 7;00 into 11;00 minutes or so, where he stated personell changes and process's of atf had had been changed, Do we have a record of that and whom? was it only in Arizona offices? than he goes onto try to roll into operation wide reciever as 'Well They Did it too!,' which i had read had been stopped in the previous administratio, guns Had Been Followed but they still found the opertion largely unsuccessful. he says HE stopped that program?
If He stopped that program why was fast and furios running and definitive inforamtion given that ATF agents were told NOT to Follow the guns?

To your great surprise.
62 willow,
His reference is to GunWalker, a program where the ATF placed tracking devices in guns and allowed them to 'walk' to Mexico. Unfortunately, the smugglers figured out they were bugged and defeated the bugs. About 300 guns were involved.
F and F involved no tracking devices at all; in fact, there was no way to tell where they were going....plus, there were over 2,000 guns involved before it was shut down.
There is really no comparison between the two programs, other than in Holder's warped mind.

@62, willow
He's lying about that willow. ....Out and out lying. ...Some might call it 'parsing'.
But I call it lying.
Because you're right....the Bush admin stopped their program, because they deemed it to be a failure.
Why?
Because even with the help of Mexican officials, waiting at the border, to help track and apprehend the gun-runners.....some were able to slip through.
So they abandoned the program.
Holder is lying.
He resurrected a failed program...and even left out the previous parts of involving the Mexican govt + trying to track the guns....and he put that failed policy back in action under a new name.

71....i imagine we all suspect ...why.
Yep.
I think it was because it was a two-fer.
One....they could get more guns into the hands of Mexicans, to support the inflated numbers that Hillary and Barky had already made claims about.
Two....they could blame it on Bush.
Posted by: wheatie at June 12, 2012 02:17 PM (/V8D4)
Posted by: Cat at June 12, 2012 02:20 PM (x0PlF)
That about 200 guns were allowed to walk across the border with full Mexican co-operation and awareness. That roughly half of the guns still vanished. And the program was quickly shut down.
So again Holder is trying to deflect blame by claiming Bush did it to and we stopped them. Which begs the question, if that was a flawed operation then why re-instate it? Makes Holder sound like an idiot doesn't it?
Which is better than being exposed as a lying tool who allowed over 2000 guns to walk across the border without any control. Said weapons then proceeded to murder innocent Mexican civilians - meanwhile US Army solders are being tried for murder of Afghan civilians during fire fights - and Holder expects nothing to be done.
Holder and entire cabal need to go into prison. Preferably a Mexican prison - for accessory to 300+ counts of murder.

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed - where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

Posted by: 13times at June 12, 2012 09:44 PM (h6XiD)
I was struck by Holder's arrogance. He must have a level of narcissism in the same category as Obama.
As I understand it, if they find Holder in contempt, their sargeant-at-arms will arrest Holder, and put him in the slammer for a year, plus fine him $100,000. It's arrogant to talk that way to Congress, anyway, but considering that they could be tossing him in the slammer, it is especially so.
Instead, he's sitting there with his "you can't touch me because I'm the first black Attorney General" attitude. He - like Obama - seems to be a True Beleiver type who would be happy to "martyr" himself for the "cause" (whatever the hell that whacked-out cause might be). If any Attorney General is EVER going to be found in contempt, it's going to be THIS guy.
Besides, he CAN'T budge. If he did, he might expose both him AND the President. Really - who the hell else in the Justice Dept would come up with such a scheme as "Fast and Furious"? It's classic Cloward-Piven!
