— Ace And other things you were already pretty sure of. But he gets more specific than your hunch probably was.
Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), chairman of the House intelligence committee, says the unclassified talking points put together by the CIA changed when they got to administration appointees:"[T]here was not an intelligence failure," Rogers told "Meet the Press" on Sunday.
"The intelligence community had it right, and they had it right early. What happened was it worked its way up through the system of the so-called talking points, which everyone refers to, and then it went up to whatÂ’s called a deputyÂ’s committee...It went to the so-called deputyÂ’s committee, thatÂ’s populated by appointees from the administration. ThatÂ’s where the narrative changed. And so how that thing got back to (Susan) Rice, I think, is probably another question."
And so the White House worked strenuously to provide the American public with a false narrative about the events in Benghazi.
I have this strange notion that whenever someone is assiduously working against the truth, the truth probably does not favor that person.

Imagine the CO of a FOB in Afghanistan refusing to send support to a patrol under heavy fire, and then lying to his superiors about what happened and who was responsible.
Dereliction of Duty would be about the lightest thing he'd be slapped with.
Impeach. Now.

We already know the answer to that, too. The White House (meaning Obama) had a direct feed of the events. No matter who refused to send help, Barack Obama could have done so simply by saying, "Are you out of your mind? Of course we send in the troops!"
He didn't. Therefor, whoever spoke the order, it came from him.

Worse than Watergate.....but Obama will get away with all of this because the MSM wants to have his ugly love child. The Press hated Dick Nixon, so of course he had to go down. It doesn't work that way for Democrats. Unfortunately, I don't think the families of those four men will ever get justice or the answers they are looking for.

Nothing will be done in the Senate, Dingy Harry has already said so explicitly;
Harry Reid: No Benghazi Select Committee in Senate

Saying he refuses “to allow the Senate to be used as a venue for baseless partisan attacks,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid quashed a GOP request to create a Select Committee on the Benghazi consulate attack.

There have to be 67 Senators willing to impeach for there to be any repercussions. The only thing Obama could do that would get a Democrat to vote for impeachment would be to switch parties.

The sad part is that even though media is now mistrusted by 60% of Americans, it was still powerful enough to pull Obama through.

I'm currently in a shouting match with some leftard who's saying the reason the SCOAMF's administration they blamed the Youtube video was because the CIA needed cover for their undercover agents within al Qaeda. This is something that happened long ago in a far off place. Out of sight, out of mind. I think Fast and Furious and the bankrupted Green companies slush funds should be our focus for political purposes. Of course we should continue with the Benghazi investigation because its the right thing to do. There will be no political benefit from it regardless of what Reid thinks.

Apparently we need some data (around 2 TB) from one of our vendors. Now, the way people normally handle data transfers that big is to drop the data onto a hard-drive, and then overnight it to wherever it needs to go (even at good business class FTP speeds we're talking a couple of days to send it over the wire).
For some reason, the vendor refuses to do so, however, and is insisting we use FTP for the transfer.

I would never doubt that coming from you, Allen. It's the guy standing next to you, and the other and the other. See what I'm getting at?
When the bully is really fucking big (like our federal government) and can't be brought down by any one person, how do you convince the others to help?

Everybody knew what it was within a couple of hours of the attack starting. They knew. I knew when I heard there was an attack FFS.

Yeah. Oh, better, they want us to us SFTP, not just regular FTP. So, more secure, also: yet slower. Not a huge difference for something that's a few K to 1 MB. 2TB? Geez o Petes.

I've actually got some thoughts on that. If I take them to their logical conclusion (and don't decide to head for the hills), it means I may have to join the second most evil profession ever, and become a politician.

It won't change then, either, unless the city is either DC or San Francisco. Otherwise, we'll be told we "deserved it."

And two 2TB? People with dedicated fiber connections drop that kind of stuff on hard drives and ship it. That's an insane amount of data to try to move over the wire.

Once again however, the REAL question is what was the administration covering up?
Why do this at all when the Prezzy could have Man'd up, called in the Dogs, and looked all Presidential?
I don't buy the 'it was the narrative that Al Q was on the ropes'... because it would be Bambi look BETTER to go all Rambo...
I still want to know what the Ambassador was doing there... and what the meeting with the Turk was ABOUT.... and just what the CIA annex was there for???
I think we had an accredited ambassador helping to run guns into Syria, at the same time we were trying to get the UN to do an Arms embargo... which was the reason for the intial reaction (or lack thereof) and coverup....

Are you familier at all with the "old" US Army Reserve? They weren't all that military, but they certainly turned out to be damn good warriors.

I think you nailed it.
I'd love to hear a GOP point out what O is doing. Reveal the tactic and neutralize it. There are ways to do it without making a flat-out accusation (for which there is usually no smoking gun proof).
Repeat this strategy enough and some of the public will start to catch on. That the GOP does not speak out forcefully against the tactics and abuses of the O administration is as astounding as it is sad.

I dunno about warrior. I suspect I could do that if I had to. Generaling is a different matter though.
Of course, George Washington lost pretty well all of his battles in the French and Indian war, and the Continental Congress chose him to lead the Army anyway, and that seems to have worked out.

I work at a major site of American infrastructure. Lets just say megawatts out the ass. This past 9/11 me and a coworker accessed the site as we do on a regular basis.
We were greeted at the gate by our regular security guys. Except, they were armoured up in full gear including Glocks and M-4s. One guy covered our official vehicle while another checked the undercarridge with the mirror. We were cleared to enter and were greeted by first name by the guards. Just doing their jobs but, they were prepared for jihadi tomfoolery. Why wasn't Ben Ghazi?? Did somebody forget about time zones, or leap year or Daylight savings Time??

Agree, I've been thinking we're headed towards another WW since about 2009 or 2010. The worldwide economic problems including our massive debt, high unemployment and O's continuous damage, the Europe and mideast instability, and the spread of jihadists, you mix it all up and what other option is there for a major re-set? The problems aren't going to be solved by politicians since they are the cause.

No, there will be no repercussions. Because the media will bury this deep: no Woodwards or Bernsteins will be digging into this story. No, they'll stick to the stuff that *really* matters, like Sarah Palin's emails and Mitt Romney's tax return.

He'd been expressing his fears and asking for more security for months. So from the standpoint of his own personal safety, what could possibly make him agree to going to Benghazi on 9/11?
Did he have a reason to believe he would be safe? (really?....on 9/11?....with AQ in the area?...NOTHING could have convinced me it would be safe if I were in his shoes.) What legitimate or illegitimate business could not have waited until 9/12, one more day?
